Mooo Ratings and Reviews
Beef Wellington at it's finest. My husband had the porterhouse...son had the tenderloin. Split sides of tots and mashed potatoes. This was a bit hard to get to on a Friday night, but well worth it. Our waiter was very helpful in explaining the differences in cuts, as there are many. True professional.
Highly recommend this steak place...
I did not find the Caesar salad and bone-in ribeye to be very good.
Additionally, we were upsold another wine because we were told it was a “comparable” price. When the bill came, we noticed it was $65 more than what we originally picked. Not very comparable at all.
I had high expectations and was thoroughly disappointed.
We had our New Years Day brunch at Mooo this year and I was not disappointed. I thought the front desk was very kind and friendly. I had extra friends drop in and they were accommodated right way by our server. I would definitely recommend Mooo for a get together. We had an excellent time and the service was on point. We were a group of 8 that turned into a group of 11. We will definitely be back dinner and for next New Years Day brunch.
We ordered steak well done. When we cut into the steak I and my friend were disappointed to see blood dripping. We brought this to our server and he asked us to cut the steak in the middle. When he noticed the steak was not Well Done and it was still raw (it was red and raw) he said he will take it back. By this time steak was not hot. It was warm to cold. After few minutes they brought back the steak. We were surprised to see that they brought back same piece of steak. It is shocking to see that a high end steak place like this would be so cheap that they decided to reheat and Cook cold steak.
When we brought this to the manager’s notice (Malissa), she strarted saying “oh we just put some sauce and recook the steak. This is quite normal” I said Melissa you know quite well not to recook cold steak. It is clear they don’t care about quality.
I also ordered Bolegnese and was not impressed with it. Their sister restaurant L’Andana in Burlington has much better Bolegenese.
I have been to Moos several times in the last 12 months. It’s clear they have gone down in quality and I would not go to Mooo again.
There are much bette steak places that serve high quality steak than Mooo.
Everything was great from the valet at the front door to the service inside and delicious food on the table. Be careful of the dinner rolls- they are sooo good! I filled up on them and it turned into man vs food trying to finish 3lbs of lobster and the sides!
Even though we made the reservation about a month in advance our table was over in the bar area in an oval shaped booth making it difficult for conversation for a group of 5. Upon arriving the hostess was unsure if there was valet service and when asked about moving to a table in the main dining area instead of the bar where it was quite drafty, we were told the wait would be 45 minutes. For the price of the menu items it was disappointing to not be in the main dining room.
Booked into Mooo for Christmas Day for 1 pm but due to a clith had to change it to 3pm. The manager William who I have to say was charming and obliging sorted us out no problem.
Service at the table was excellent all the way through.
Well the food was the best we have all tasted anywhere in Boston .
We eat out a lot and I can tell you Mooo did not disappoint.
Cannot wait to visit again.

We booked Christmas Day At 12 and were suprised because it was not brunch but dinner menu. (Nothing on line suggested such). Having said that all the food we had, the setting and the service were wonderful. I would definitely return for a special meal and will recommend.
I ordered the Lobster Eggs Benedict and a Bloody Mary from my waiter. My meal was delivered to my table by someone who wasn't my waiter. When I started to dig in, I realized that what I had been served was just traditional Eggs Benedict and NOT the Lobster Eggs Benedict. I assumed that I had not spoken the word 'Lobster' clearly enough, so I just accepted what I was given. The Eggs Benedict was underwhelming and DEFINITELY not special enough for its pricetag, After too long, my waiter arrived with my Bloody Mary and seemed surprised that my food had arrived: a clear indication that something is amiss with this restaurant's management.
More damning is that when my check arrived, they had charged me for the LOBSTER Eggs Benedict I'd originally ordered, but never received. This restaurant purports to be high-end, but the internal miscommunication is VERY low-end.
The food was good but not great, which it should have been given the price point. Surprisingly at a steakhouse called Mooo, my date's fish was the star of the night and my dry aged ribeye was just good. The service was my biggest gripe. The waiter was slow to take our orders and unresponsive when it came to refilling our drinks. The experience didn't live up to the $250 + tip price tag.
By far best meal I’ve had in a long time! Service was great we have multiple waitstaff checking on us to make sure our every need was met. The food came out with perfect timing, too. My steak was cooked to perfection, my compliments to the Chef! Will definitely recommend to friends and family and will be back!
Upon arrival we were told they were setting our table which was fine. But there was a ton of tables available not sure why they have to clean off a table for us? So then they only set it for 3 when there was 4 of us so they needed to add a place setting. Then we ordered ice coffee black it came with milk sent that back. They took a VERY long time to get our drinks no one was in the restaurant so not sure why it took so long? Then we ordered and my egg white omelet came with a parmesan cream sauce it was like Alfredo sauce on an omelet the taste was awful. The menu did not mention it was a cream sauce just parmesan with nutmeg? Then I asked all the other tables got muffins the waiter told me the chef was just getting them out of the oven and he would bring them right over. He brought the muffins and they were cold so obviously they did not just come out of the oven. Overall we went for a nice Christmas brunch which was not good at all. We frequent Columbus Group Restaurants such as Mistral and L'Andana (which is a favorite) so we were very excited to go to Mooo but I would NEVER go back.
Mooo's food was outstanding - particularly the bone marrow appetizer. The wine list was extensive, and they did have a few reasonably priced options for people looking to spend under $100 on a decent bottle of wine for the table. The restaurant was beautiful. Our service was so-so (they messed up my mom's order 2x), but I suspect that wasn't the norm because the manger himself came over to profusely apologize. My biggest complaint was the noise level and size of the tables. The tables were fairly large and the restaurant was very noisy, so I found myself shouting across the table.
I can’t say enough wonderful things about Mooo. I went with two of my girlfriends to celebrate my birthday. We started off with specialty cocktails at the bar, which were delicious. After a few minutes, we were seated; the dining room is lovely and comfortable. We ordered oysters, beef carpaccio, and meatballs to begin. All superb. Then we split a petite filet and a New York strip between the three of us, with sides of Brussel sprouts, butternut squash, and Mac and cheese. Again, all wonderful. We finished off with dessert: cheesecake, apple tart, and bananas fosters. My bananas foster was decorated for my birthday, which was a sweet touch by the staff. Such a terrific evening.
The beef was excellent here, and it is basically a beef restaurant, as its name suggests.
Don't order the calamari. There are little tiny fried onion rings mixed in with the calamari, and it is easy to confuse them for calamari.
Overall, this is a fine restaurant, and I would recommend it.
At the beginning of the night the server asked if we were celebrating a special occasion. I told him we were celebrating a big promotion my girlfriend received at work. He congratulated her and was great the entire night. At the very end of the night he remembered it was a celebration dinner and brought out a special dessert with "Congratulations" written in chocolate syrup on the plate. Very thoughtful.
Our Friday lunch at MOOO was a happenstance choice, as the restaurant is across the street from Boston's Atheneum (the oldest private library in the US) where we had been browsing in the members' reading room. Both the wiener schnitzel and the veal parmesan were excellent; we have cultivated standards for both of these classics. The side order of sautéed spinach & garlic went well with both main dishes, as did the sauvignon blanc (are not all sauvignon blancs from New Zealand good?). For dessert (which we did not need) the chocolate chips were still in a state of irresistible meltdown, having just arrived from their journey through the oven, as they are always served. In addition to excellent food, the background music was good jazz at a moderate volume, so we could have a conversation -- all too often a challenge in restaurants. The service was excellent, including our hostess, Alexis, who navigated some kind of bureaucratic on-line maze in order to enter our Open Table reservation. Since the earliest dinner reservation was for 10pm, MOOO must be an equally fine choice in the evening, although probably the noise level and the prices are a little higher, as is the norm.
Celebrated a holiday dinner here with my husband, our 12 year old and our almost 2 year old. Very high class place to bring kids but it was a special occasion. Food was amazing and the service was excellent. They have a junior adult menu for 12 and under. Our young one wasn't in the cooperating mood so we had to switch off walking her outside while the other one ate so not to disturb the other diners but our wait staff was incredibly patient and very thoughtful coming to cover our dishes to keep them warm while we were away. Will definitely be coming back for a date night.
