Lovely setting and great service . The sides were small but everything else was great. A special birthday plate was brought to the table.
Great spot for breakfast. Beautiful, peaceful room.
Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the steak choices and assisted us with the perfect steak. Oysters were delicious and I could eat 5 more plates of the Japanese Wagyu Dumplings! The ambiance was amazing; beautiful! We will definitely be back!
This was an amazing meal. The service was amazing! I recommend the bone marrow app, it's the best
Great. A bit expensive but great experience.
The food is nice overall, but the appetizers are just kinda common
The food is good. But don't expect the best service and if you want a place that will warn you of additional charges (lack of free refills for example), go elsewhere.
Place is legit!!! Loved it!!! Will be going back soon.
Everything was amazing!
Service was excellent and food was outstanding. Will definitely be back!
Food and service were great, but the restaurant has the odor of a place that hasn't wiped down the booths and tables for a while.
We had a wonderful time. We made a reservation before a show at the Orpheum and it was a minute walk. Wonderful service and food!
Mooo was so good I could have eaten my perfectly cooked steak with a spoon!
Been many times for brunch and enjoyed. This visit was not up to previous standards for service. Also missed the usual jazz music.
Second visit for dinner in the few months. Outstanding food and service.
We celebrated my wife's 40th birthday at Mooo. I wanted something very special for her on her big day and Mooo did not disappoint. I notified the restaurant ahead of time and they did lots of little touches for her birthday. She was told happy birthday by 3 different people, her menu said "Happy Birthday" at the top, and they brought us a scrumptious dessert. The food was amazing. I had a feeling it would be when the rolls they brought to our table were fantastic. We got a filet and shrimp (we split it), two veggie sides, and a salad and soup for an appetizer. That was enough food for two people. We also had several glasses of wine, all great. The service was first-rate. My water was never empty and I am a thirsty person. We never had an empty plate in front of us for very long either. Both servers we had were attentive and friendly. The location is excellent as it's right by the State House. It is definitely a special occasion place for us as the aforementioned food/drinks came to $250 with tip. If you want a first rate experience to celebrate a special occasion, Mooo is an excellent choice!
We made a reservation 3 months in advance to celebrate our son's 21st birthday (and we included that note on the reservation). We were so disappointed to be seated at a table in the bar area, where a HUGE tv screen was just over/behind my husband's head -- there was no escaping it. Even my son commented that in an atmosphere as upscale as Mooo's, where NONE of the patrons at the bar were actually watching tv, it seemed totally out of place and really dominated our experience in a very negative way. It's a shame, because the food was good (steaks are of course the way to go here -- wiener schnitzel wasn't great but I blame myself for not ordering a steak) and the service was outstanding. The table we were given would make sense to hold for walk-ins, but took what was meant to be a very special occasion for us and made us regret the choice.
My favorite restaurant in Boston - an outstanding experience every time I've been. the cuts of meat are always spectacular, and the service is impeccable. I was so pleased that they clearly read the special request in my reservation (for a corner table), and they gave us the perfect spot. Very accommodating of our low-carb diet: the server pointed out when a side I ordered had hidden carbs in the sauce, and the chef adjusted another dish to accommodate. I couldn't be happier.
My new favorite steak house! The filet mignon melted in my mouth. Excellent!!
Moo was amazing! The beef melted in your mouth. Everything from start to finish was perfect. It is truly a modern day steakhouse.
It was great. The only thing was the waiter made no attempt to tell us anything about the restaurant or food. He answered questions and took the order. He was very professional and even knowledgeable, but should have given us an overview of some sort.
Amazing food. Fun atmosphere. Love the decor. Casual but Expensive
unbelievable Ribeye + bone marrow sauce. Great service. Classic steakhouse crowd. Expensive but to be expected.
Very nice evening. The service was great and the food delicious.
We had an excellent experience at Mooo! We started with the East Coast oysters which were delicious, meaty but not too briny. For dinner, we splurged and tried the A5 Wagyu Beef and were not disappointed, it was prepared perfectly (our server suggested medium rare+) and it was incredible! We also had the Australian Ribeye and it was also prepared just as we ordered. We enjoyed the mushrooms and cauliflower as our sides. The Sommelier suggested an excellent wine that nicely complimented both of our steaks. Unfortunately, we did not have time to try dessert but we will be back to try some other dishes on the menu and will give ourselves more time to end the meal on a sweet note.
Amazing service and the filet mignon was wonderful.
We had a great time: the food was terrific, our server was attentive, without interrupting us too much. The specialty cocktails were delicious and we enjoyed every aspect of our meal. Highly recommend.
Overall this was an incredibly disappointing experience. We were so excited for this meal and hadn’t been before and honestly felt from the moment we stepped in that we were being both ignored and very uncomfortable. We sat in front and behind two different groups of extremely inebriated groups that were yelling and screaming drunkenly. The food was cold. For how much this meal cost, I just felt as though there could have been an effort made to show us some sort of attention or at least respond when we would ask questions.
We ordered the Beef Wellington and it was simply amazing. Also the best chowder I have ever had. All the staff was very friendly as well. Will definitely come back once in Boston again.
The service was amazing and the food was outstanding!
Will definitely be back!
Went for breakfast- great menu and some unusual dishes: hash was a favorite- more shredded than hashed and very flavorful. Duck trap salmon also very good: and the donuts are amazing. Service was awesome. Only caution is it’s very expensive- even by Boston standards. But great food and wonderful time.
One of the few steakhouses where everything is of exceptional quality, from the steaks to the sides and appetizers. My favorite in Boston. Highly recommended.
The meal was great, as was our waiter. The room was a bit dark, so it took some time to adjust, but overall a lovely dinner. It is also what you would expect for a high end steakhouse price wise, but We’d definitely go back again.
Just go. You'll love it. .
We entered from the hotel and no one came to ask if we needed help....although 3 people were standing at the other entrance and saw us.
After 3-4 minutes....I figured it out myself and went to the other entrance.
Also...the tables are way too close together.
Great food and wonderful service, I never have been disappointed in going to Moo be it lunch, drinks or dinner. Awesome staff!
It's been a while since I've dined at Mooo, but the experience is always fantastic. I took a few clients out for a business dinner, and it couldn't have been a better choice. great atmosphere, not too noisy, so you can still have conversation, and the food & service was off the charts.
I highly recommend Mooo, and i'll be back again my next trip to Boston.
Best meal we’ve had in a long time. Excellent service. Friendly staff. Great food. Nice job everyone.
Sat at the bar for a drink before dinner and the bartenders were very friendly, offered the jumbo ice cube for my scotch. Dinner was great the waiter was not pushy or rushing. I had the Australian rib eye it was superb.
A great surprise. Moo is on the pricey side of dinners in Boston, but the service was excellent as was the food. Portions are generous and very nicely presented. The appetizers were more creative and delicious than the main dishes, which are delicious cuts of steak. The Lobster Bisque and Bone Marrow appetizers were fantastic.
