Both manager and waiter inquired about the steaks being cooked correctly, my dinner partner and I both said they were. Unfortunately it was only the side I started on that was cooked correctly, the other side near the end was so raw it was inedable. Also; for a $50 steak it was kind of tough and grisly. Wish we had gone to Ruth Chris’s instead. :(
Very Good!!!!! Best steak in Boston!!!! Great Service.
Moo is one of the better high-end steak restaurants in the Boston area. The room is large and fairly elegant, but the lighting is so dim it’s hard to tell. People at tables all around us were using the blindingly bright flashlight features on their phones in order to read the menu and wine list, so we alternated between peering into the gloom or seeing spots as the neighbors’ phone lights blinded us. Despite its high ceilings the room was very noisy making everyone talk loudly- making the room noisier. Steak places usually offer creamed spinach, but Moo’s was so salty it could only be mixed with other items to be eaten. The shrimp scampi had no detectable garlic (which we think disqualifies it from being a scampi). The successful items included the carpaccio (best in Boston), Bolognese, cheesy cauliflower, wagyu dumplings, steak tartare and, of course, the steaks. Oh, and don’t expect to find a decent red wine for less than $180. Our waiter was of little help in choosing a wine from their long list, but otherwise the service was good.
Beautiful restaurant! Appetizers dinner and dessert all made to perfection. No complaints about anything. Service is very nice and on top of their game. Highly recommend!
Food, service and atmosphere - a stellar dining experience.
The restaurant is very pricey, but good for special occassion. The lobster eggs benedict was good ,
but the pancakes were disappointing, they had no fruit for the value I would not get that entree again.
Their sister restaurant Mistral is far superior and the prices are less expensive.
The service was not the best I have ever had.
EXCELLENT 5 STARS! I would defitintely go back again.
We were disappointed that the table next to us had a small child who was allowed to run around the restaurant. We are not opposed to having children there, but it was just unfathomable that the parents were allowing the child to run around. This restaurant is way too expensive to have that kind of disruptive behavior. It caused us all anxiety and fear that the child would knock over a glass or hit his head on one of the corners of the table. Not a pleasant experience.
Amazing anniversary dinner at Moo! One of the best steaks in all of Boston
The food, service, and atmosphere at Mooo are phenomenal!! We enjoyed beautiful wine, an expertly prepared steak, the side sampler was so worth it. I wish we hadn't been too full because the desserts looked great!
Just an incredible meal! The lobster was cooked perfectly. Our daughters loved there meals of filet and beef Wellington. We had the flight sides and couldn’t believe how good they were, and ended it with chocolate chip cookies!!
This is an overall excellent restaurant. The noise level is not bothersome, the service is absolutely impeccable and the food is amazing. Definitely a great place for a special occasion meal.
Really great dinner and fantastic service. The lack of 5 stars came from the fact that it seemed like most of the restaurant was empty at the time we were sat and yet we were put right in between two other dining couples in a tighter-fitting space. Would have been nice to be sat in a little bit more private of an area since there was so much opening. With that said, it's a minor problem. Everything else was perfect and I cannot wait to go back. Also word to the wise: don't fill up on the delicious bread!
Great place to spend an anniversary. They printed out a menu that said happy anniversary at the top and catered to your every need. The food was the best part. The only con was that one of our side dishes had too much pepper seasoning. I'm sure if we said something we could have got that fixed but we were in a hurry.
Amazing food and incredible service
Great food and atmosphere. Service was phenomal. Classy but not pretentious.
2nd time visiting in 3 months ... really bad experience with meals 1st time both sent back and one sent back again.. they admitted their fault .. no offer to buy a drink or anything .. got up and left without eating .. this time with another couple 3 of the 4 meals were sent ..not even close on meat temp exampl med plus came rare ... come on ?? Again no apology no communication at all ... done with Moo
Great food and perfect setting to have a business meeting over lunch. Would definitely recommend
The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. Very glad we chose this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary.
Beautiful restaurant but wasn't particularly impressed by the food for the price. The side of fries were clearly out of a bag and tasted like something you'd get at Applebees, and the filet was undercooked and surprisingly tough. The ambiance is wonderful but it's certainly not worth the price premium over other restaurants in Boston.
My husband and I went for our anniversary this weekend. The food, drinks and service were amazing. We will definitely be back.
Family next to us was beyond inappropriate. Otherwise service was fine. Awkward at first however the experience was what we expected. As a local we’ll be back.
What an incredible experience, with so much attention paid to every small detail!
We had a 145 reservation. When we got there we felt very rushed. The first thing the waiter said was that the kitchen was closing at 2 PM and if our order wasn't in then we would have to move to the bar and get bar food. We were never told that when we made the reservation. When you are spending over $200 on lunch, you expect to be able to enjoy your meal at your own pace. This is not what we experienced. The food was very good, but we will never come back because of this experience. There are other wonderful steak houses in Boston that we've been to and have never given the feeling that we got today at Mooo
Great restaurant. Food (both meat and fish) is excellent. Wine and drinks are pretty expensive given that it’s a high end restaurant. Would definitely recommend
We were a party of three: my son, 22, a steakhouse afficionado, my daughter 11, with not yet sophisticated taste buds, and myself, a hard to please middle aged. We were pampered in every way, each of us just to our satisfaction. In short: No steakhouse experience can get better!
Went for brunch on Easter and it was fantastic. Seated right away in a table overlooking Beacon Street. The service was spot on as was the food. We were a party of three and all ordered different menu items, all of which were excellent. The service was attentive and you never felt rushed nor ignored.
Honestly, nothing negative to say at all.
Very nice, especially birthday dessert brought to the table . Great service. Appetizers and sides were small, but everything else was perfect
Fantastic food, excellent service. Brunch was a delight.
Lovely setting and great service . The sides were small but everything else was great. A special birthday plate was brought to the table.
Food was not good, we had steaks none were cooked to perfection or what we wanted. Not very tender considering the price and cut, service was mideocre had no drinks ended at 115 for a Saturday lunch with no exceptional food.
Great spot for breakfast. Beautiful, peaceful room.
Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the steak choices and assisted us with the perfect steak. Oysters were delicious and I could eat 5 more plates of the Japanese Wagyu Dumplings! The ambiance was amazing; beautiful! We will definitely be back!
This was an amazing meal. The service was amazing! I recommend the bone marrow app, it's the best
Everything was fantastic, the food, the service, everything...
Great. A bit expensive but great experience.
The food is nice overall, but the appetizers are just kinda common
