Great birthday dinner for my girlfriend, would highly recommend
Went to Mooo to celebrate my husband and I's wedding anniversary. We started out with the beef dumplings which neither of us have had before. I loved it where my husband would've preferred it with less sauce. (He's not a man to add any kind of sauce to anything!) For main course I ordered the Australian Ribeye and my husband has the Pineland Farms Prime Ribeye. Both were cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. For sides we had broccoli and the Kabocha squash puree. Delicious! Would def recommend this restaurant!
Perfect! One of the best hamburgers I have ever had.
From the service to the food and everything in between, this was hands down the best dining experience I’ve ever had! The atmosphere was brilliant, our server Nelson was so kind and informative, and our food was superb. Thank you for making our anniversary feel so special!
Filet and shrimp was amazing however we had plenty of room for the Mooo Sunday ; )
Food was great, the atmosphere congenial and the service was attentive.
The Service, Menu and Ambiance is way out of line with the name. It is a luxurious, delightful and civilized experience.
My wife and I split the 3 1/2 lbs broiled lobster. It was very tasty but not what we expected. Our waitress was fabulous and she made our celebratory dinner special. I definitely would recommend Mooo to my friends but I will advise them that it can become very loud when seated by large groups.
Best steak in Boston. I have visited all steak houses in and around Boston this far exceeded my expectations in a great atmosphere.
Compared to other steak houses this is great value , we love the lobster Mac n cheese and exotic mushrooms sides with our steak .... We were celebrating our anniversary and they gave us a complimentary desert and wrote happy anniversary on the plate ... my hubbys steak wasn’t cooked enough so they fixed it straight away and bought us 2 martinis to say sorry .., so nice of them .. love this place ...
Happy to visit Mooo... My husband has been several times (and we live down on Long Island) and has raved about it. We love the Porterhouse medium, truffle fries, cauliflower and the BREAD WHEN YOU GET THERE OMGGGGG TO DIE FOR.
Five nights in Boston and five different restaurants. Mooo was the best. Nice cocktail
choices as well as an extensive wine list - both bottles and by the glass. Food ingredients
are the freshest, and the beef, our choice (what else would you order at a restaurant called
Mooo), was outstanding. Steaks were high quality and couldn't have been prepared for
our order any better. Mooo is on the expensive side but well worth it, in my estimation,
for what you get.
We found the food to be severely overrated.
$65 ribeye had more fat on it that it did meet. I understand marbling, but give me a break, that steak was ridiculous.
Our waiter was absolutely clueless, did not know his menu, or much else.
For what we paid your expected much better food and better service.
fabulous meal of great beef and excellent wine list - a special occasion. Love the location and the vibe of the dining space and bar scene. Very professional and upscale wait staff.
We had an amazing experience and absolutely loved all of the food that we ordered. I would highly suggest the Wagyu beef dumplings as an app and the surf & turf as an entree. Absolutely perfect dinner!
The meals are always delicious at Mooo... Drinks are very pricey but the food is a little more reasonable. You can't go wrong with any of the steak options and the lobster bisque is delicious! The salads are not worth the $ though.
Greatly enjoyed a birthday dinner. Food was done to perfection, excellent wine list. Service was exemplary.
We will return on our next trip to Boston.
Great service! Food was good. Atmosphere was nice. Wasn’t too loud but way too dark. Most people used there cell phones to read the menu.
Had a great time. Very attentive wait staff! Will go back!
Ok, I want to be 100% fair here. There was nothing majorly wrong with our dinner at Mooo. Lets starts with the good parts. The service was awesome, our server was kind, funny, helpful and very professional. I have worked in find dining restaurants for 25 years, I would be happy to have a server as good as he was working for me anytime. The hostesses where kind and seemed happy to see us. Now the not so good parts. I ordered a bottle of wine and after about fifteen min the waiter comes back and says that they are redoing the wine cellar and the sommelier is having trouble finding the wine I wanted. Ok that happens not a huge deal, but then the sommelier never comes to the table to recommend anything else, to say ohh sorry etc. The waiter comes back and recomneds another bottle, fine not a big deal but trust me much better to send the sommelier. We ordered two apps the bone marrow and escargot. Bot taste good, but are way overpriced, one bone of marrow costs under a dollar, some bread and garlic..21 bucks. Steaks are find both ordered mid-rare both come out closer to med, again not a huge deal. So all in all nothing horrible, but never a wow moment, and once you get the bill you wish you had picked another place. Also the decor is really bad, our table looked like it had been rescued from a drive bar, fake wood top etc. I get the feeling the staff is trying hard but whoever makes the big calls had taken there eye off the ball. For these prices you need a wow, no wow at Mooo
This type of experience is sort of stuck in the past. The prices are very high. 2 strong points : amazing wine selection and you can hear your guest during dinner. But overall, I don't recommend because it's too pricy for the experience. At this price range (150$ / person before wine) I'm expecting a memorable and innovative experience.
The food at Mooo is top notch. The steaks and fish are delicious. The beef wellington is the best.
Overpriced but good service - bread was awesome- the rest was ok but not worth the price
Excellent! I took my fiancé for his birthday and he loved it. The staff was so helpful and attentive and the food was delicious! We had a wonderful time and will definitely go back!
Restaurant has a weird, musty smell. Otherwise, the food and service were great.
This is our 4th trip to Mooo as we try to come every time were in Boston. The restaurant had a strong barn smell this time which was off putting. Rolls were cold. House wedge and lobster bisque were amazing. Son ate two orders of the wagyu dumplings which he loved. A5 wagyu steak overpriced but delish. Desserts mediocre. Room for improvement for prices.
I was visiting from out of town and wanted to enjoy a steakhouse for the evening. I also wanted something different than the Capital Grille, Del Friscos.... so I gave Mooo a shot. I had reservations for the dining room but ended up eating at the bar which serves the full menu. I enjoyed every piece of my experience. The service was exceptional and welcoming. The food was also top notch. I had the lobster bisque, surf and turf, and then the lemon cheesecake topped with blueberry sauce. I enjoyed every moment of my meal including the conversations with the staff and adjacent company. I would highly recommend Mooo if you're looking for a great steak dinner.
Went to Mooo with my wife for an anniversary dinner and we were not disappointed. The staff was very attentive and professional. The little details they added around the special occasion was very much appreciated and made the night that much more special.
After ordering our meal, the timing of service was on point. Bread, appetizers, main entree, and dessert were served at timely intervals where we weren't waiting around for the next dish. Our server was very personable and took great care to make sure we always had wine in our glass.
We're very glad to have went to Mooo and plan on going back again.
Unfortunately I am in my early trimester of my pregnancy so everything I’ve craved for wasn’t working for me. My boyfriend, however ate his whole entire plate of steak , potatoe hash, and asparagus. I need to come back once I feel better !
Everything is perfect! Super good food ! And we celebrate birthday, give us special dessert!
We had dinner at Mooo on Thursday night after having eaten their before and truly enjoyed the experience. The first thing to put me off was the atrocious smell that greeted us as we entered the restaurant. That smell of something that was not pleasant did not abate for quite some time. I thought several times of leaving Mooo but as it was late at night and we were exhausted - we stayed. The waiter that we had was completely overwhelmed and definitely needs a course in customer service. We sat down at our table at 9.25pm and we finally got some rolls tossed our way at about 10.05pm. I ordered a bottle of wine which took until 10.15pm to be told that they only had a warm bottle - so they had to chill it for me. Our waiter did not even tell us this important point or give me the option of ordering a different bottle - one which might have been cold! The food was good - very good. The atmosphere was not - it was freezing cold - so cold that we asked and the folks at the table in front of us asked (twice) for the air conditioning to be turned down - to no avail. The noise level is through the roof - we could not hear ourselves think! After all of this - I still would not have written this review if - when the bill came - I asked for a partial payment on my VISA and the rest I gave cash to our waiter. It is now 11pm and we are ready to go - unfortunately our waiter is no where in sight - we get up to stand by the door - in the hopes of getting my card back and signing the receipt and leaving - I ask another server where is he? He finally comes over to me - my original receipt has been bunched up as if it was thrown in the trash. He says to me -oh I put the entire amount on the card! Luckily it went through as I was not expecting that entire amount to go on that particular card and he gave me back my cash.I asked him - what was going on? He had no answer for me. I would have spoken to the Manager if it had not been so late.
Was ok, but not hugely special. Boston is a wonderful city.. explore further
Went for our anniversary. Amazing service and food. They even wrote “happy anniversary” on the plate of our dessert.
Absolutely no complaints. Will be back soon!
Had an amazing meal at Mooo. The food was delicious and the service was perfect. My only complaint was that my steak was overcooked. It was still very good, just not exactly how I wanted it.
Overall the food was good. But the service was horriable. At the beginning they didn’t even give us bread to start. Then we had to get the manager to take our order and after dinner it seems like they were therapy trying to rush us out by clearing the table even before we were done. I’m just saying there are starving people at the table all they want to do is throw everything away. I was pretty upset with this restaurant especially since it was listed as one of the best steakhouses in Boston.
Wonderful first visit to Mooo. Atmosphere was intimate, the service impeccable, and the food just amazing. Also, found a new favorite wine. Will be visiting again for sure.
Roasted Bone Marrow Was Mind Blowing!
Great service. Interesting wine list.
Only negative was the noise. Overly loud..
Super delicious steak! Definitely come again! One of the best steakhouse.
