The food and setting were very good but the service was slow and not at all polished. At this level restaurant I expect better.
Fantastic in every way!
The food is amazing, and the service was good. If you are comfortable spending the money, this is the place to go!
I personally will not go again. The restaurant was very dark and not intimate. There is a musty smell. Service wasn’t great.
This restaurant is very expensive and very dark. We actually saw a couple get seated, look at the menu and leave. It’s that kind of sticker shock. Most dishes do not come with sides. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare as ordered, as one would expect of a $55 piece of meat. Seems like it could be a good place for a business expense account although too dark to be a professional setting.
Over cooked steak waitress didn’t pass in soon enough to share with her.
Expensive for quality. Sides are delicious and the starters but I expected more from the steaks at over 60 each.
My husband and I had a fantastic dinner. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. It was expensive, but a review of the menu beforehand showed that and the experience was worth the money. If I had one complaint, it was the lighting. I’m all for dim lights to create ambiance, but it was dark. Several diners used the flashlights on their phones to read the menu. Overall, though, it was a wonderful experience!
Wow. Best steak i have ever eaten. Amazing on all fronts!
Our evening at Mooo was outstanding. The service was impeccable! We started by sharing burgundy escargot and the Wagyu dumplings. They were both out of this world delicious. It was also nice to have our server tell us more details about the sauces and how the dishes were prepared, it enhanced our experience. Then filet mignons around - like butter. Overall another tremendous dinner at Mooo, which I cannot recommend more highly.
This was a restaurant that I visited on a food tour awhile ago. So coming into the city this time looking for steakhouse. Having tried some of the other steak places in town we opted for Mooo . From the moment we walked in to when we left it was a perfect experience. The service was impeccable-attentive but not hovering. When we mentioned we were going to the theater after dinner our server asked what time did we need to leave so everything was timed with that in mind, yet never felt rushed. Definitely a great choice.
Went for my anniversary and had a great meal and great wine! They even brought us a special dessert to celebrate. Definitely an expensive night out but worth the price for a special occasion.
Simply amazing, awesome menu with great service. Perfect restaurant for special occasions. Makes it competitors look like Outback it’s so good
Food and service was outstanding. The hostess was rude.
The food was amazing! Prepared and cooked to perfection, the staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. We didn't have to ask for anything, every time we wanted refills on water, or drinks they appeared as if out of nowhere. A little pricey, but you are getting a piece of heaven on a plate, so can you put a price on that...? I'm not sure. My wife and I had a great time, and a great meal! Highly recommended for any occasion... great now I want to go back. Guess I'll see you there. Cheers!
Our experience at Mooo was absolutely amazing. The service was great and the food and drinks were outstanding!
What a great evening in Boston!! Our food was delicious, ambiance was perfect and our waiter just passed his Sommelier course last week. He was over the top !!! Very knowledgeable of the menu and his service was just perfect. Can’t wait until our next visit to Boston.
Mooo is my favorite steakhouse in Boston. Order the Tuna Tartar, The Wagyu beef dumplings and the Beef Wellington and find true happiness.
Great food, great service, special requests were fulfilled to expectation - highly recommend
Wonderful service, atmosphere, and of course delicious food. I will absolutely come back in the future!
Wonderful! Best steak we’ve had in Boston in a long time - and we are selective. Enjoy!
Very nice steakhouse. I’ve had better, but this is good. I had the aged rib eye, my wife the Australian grass fed, which she loved. Benchmarks for me are Char in Birmingham or Hennin’s in Chattanooga. The bone marrow appetizer is excellent. Very good wines by the glass. Pricey.
A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!! The Food, the service and Prices were simply perfection. Worth your minet and your Time!
Waitress was awesome as was the food. Wouldn’t change a thing!
The food and service were outstanding.
Took a client to Mooo--great ambiance and really spot-on service. Very attentive w/o crossing the line into hovering.
You need to have an order of the dumplings and get some of their truffle fries to share!
Outstanding location, steeped in history. Service was excellent... not over the top, just right. Appetizers and entrees were exactly what we expected. Amazing wine and whiskey lists!! Now one of my favorites when I'm in Boston.
A more unique version of the traditional "Steak House". Everything we orders was cooked perfectly.
Very very good steak. Service was phenomenal and the value of what you get was better than I was expecting.
First time dining at this restaurant and was very impressed. Service was excellent as well as the food, exactly what you would expect at a high end steakhouse. Will definitely return again but only for special occasions since it is kind of pricey, but when you can splurge this place is worth it!
Our group has extensive fine dining experience, and while the ambiance was nice, the brunch food was only fair. Two of the 3 steaks were tough, and my eggs Benedict were nothing special. The best item was the spinach, but I doubt we will return. There are better restaurants.
Great food, great service
Excellent service and great food.
Loved the experience. Food was wonderful from the bread to dessert. Highly recommend the side sampler.
The steaks were over cooked. The food was very mediocre. Not a special dining experience at all.
Lovely food and great service. I would return.
We visited Mooo for Brunch on Father’s Day and had an amazing meal and experienced fantastic service. My husband ordered the Steak Tartare starter and the Steak and Eggs for his entree. Both were delicious!! The kids and I shared blueberry beignets as a starter and then shared Belgian waffles with strawberries and Chocolate Chip pancakes. All was very good we will definitely go back! One comment for the owner —although nicely decorated and clean—the restaurant itself had a musty smell which detracted a bit from the overall experience. Otherwise highly recommend this place!
18 oz ribeye FANTASTIC!
Japanese wagyu was small as expected but very disappointed on how it was served. It was sliced and warm. not hot. Flavor was good but not great. Our server was supposed to let us know and didn’t...All she said was it’s delicious and great. We were at another restaurant in Boston a while back and got the American Version and was AMAZING.
We spoke with the manager, Dustin, who took care of us. He went above and beyond, which was unexpected.
We will be back for that ribeye!
The steak tartare is the best in the City. There are few restaurants that serve Beef Wellington and it is excellent.
We received a call to confirm our reservation, at that time, the host asked if this was a special occasion and if anyone in our party had food allergies. It was our anniversary and I am Gluten Free. The moment we arrived the staff acknowledged our anniversary and the chef cooked my meal respecting the GF restrictions, and we were presented with a "Happy Anniversary" desert. Great experience all around!
Lovely meal! We had a very relaxing lunch here, with impeccable service. The hostess gave us a fantastic booth by the window & our server was very attentive. The tuna salad main is delicious - like summer in a bowl. And try the beef dumplings to start - sweet, light and very flavoursome. We'd highly recommend Mooo.
