Delicious interesting food that made our mouths water, but also filled us up plenty! Plus they have wine flights!
Fantastic here as always. The wings are world class, entrees excellent and the service and atmosphere are excellent.
Food was amazing as always. From the appetizer/started to desserts. Do wish the dessert was larger portion. Service was a miss. Our server was not attentive. Took too long to bring drinks (even water), ask if we needed a refill, take our order, etc.
We are regulars here the food is delicious! I love the personal touch that the chef personally delivers your meal to your table.
Great neighborhood place. The food is delicious!!!!
Delicious food, well crafted cocktails, menu variety, excellent service. My burger was juicy and a perfect medium.
The fried chicken at Moonshine 152 is hands down the best in the city. Outstanding brunch spot!
We are officially fangirls. Thanks to Chef/Owner Asia Mei for making an unbelievable dinner for us. She’s been on two different Food Network competition shows and we were thrilled to have an opportunity to eat at her restaurant, AND to meet her as well. Yummy apps, entrees, cocktails and ooh, dessert! And 🙌 for our server Devon. He was solicitous without hovering and he made super-helpful suggestions. Moonshine 152 was fabulous and I highly recommend it.
Ordered many of the dishes, all of the dishes were outstanding. Chef Asia does an amazing job.
I love This place and took a group of 10 friends and it was incredible. Food super interesting. Go here. Go.
a nice "gastro pub" atmosphere with friendly and efficient service. the food tends to the heavy side - some of our dishes were good - others a bit less so...
Moonshine has a fun and varied menu. We really enjoyed the choices and everything was delicious!
The quality of service and food is superb and consistent! We've dined there many times and they never fail to exceed our expectations!
Love the food at Moonshine. Not crazy about the interior but the patio is lovely and the food is amazing
We enjoyed our nite out with tasty grilled octopus, different entrees, and a delicious dessert
Chef Asia Mei puts out a menu of interesting food combinations; all of which work very well together. I have been fortunate enough to eat at Moonshine 152 a few times and each time, the food was excellent. Located at the corner of Dorchester Ave and W. 4th Street, the location doesn't jump out as a natural neighborhood spot with no obvious neighborhood and yet its bar and dining room each draw a pleasant community.
Must visit if you are anywhere near Southie. We had a great time and all of the food was fantastic.
Had a gift card for this place. Met with some family members from out of the country and they enjoyed the entree very much. I did a vegan berger, next time will try some other foods. It was excellent.
We love Moonshine and go often. The staff and owner and always incredibly warm & welcoming. We love everything on the menu and often over order. It’s worth it though.
I've been here 6 times in the past two years. I like dining on the patio in the summer. The food is outstanding. We usually order a hanger steak and a fish dish and we share. The desserts are fantastic.
But most importantly, get the chicken wings appetizer! You will not be disappointed!
Always a pleasant experience at Moonshine.
The food was full of flavors. The tacos were juicy and had the perfect blend of indigents. The Poke bowl teriyaki salmon was fresh and the presentation was just as great. Even the dressing on the side salad was delicious. Our server Kevin was attentive and so kind. Looking forward to going back and trying this innovative menu.
Always a good time at Moonshine. Inventive food & a pleasant staff.
Great food. nice presentation. I will go back again
Everything about this evening was perfect. Free street parking. Friendly greeting, prompt seating. Plenty of menu options. Everything sounded so good it was hard to choose. We choose the grilled avocado appetizer. Green salad with flavorful dressing. Dinner I had the fish tacos. Three tacos each had two good sized portions of fish with slaw. My husband had thai noodles which he loved and ate every bite. I had plenty left to bring home. Dessert was the blueberry pie. Cream cheese and cookie with blueberries puree. This was the most perfect restaurant. Holds the number two spot under St Elmos in Indianapolis.
Amazing restaurant! Outdoor patio area is nice. Great waitstaff. Excellent creative food options. Good oysters.
Very much enjoyed this restaurant, will be back. Really enjoyed the LOCAL MIXED GREENS SALAD and the BLUEBERRY JAMBOREE desert was unique and "to die for"!
The SPANISH STYLE STEAK FRITES were very flavorful.
Our waiter was great, he was pleasant , knowledgeable and fun.
I love this place. The food is delicious. Very unusual spins on entrees. Packed with flavor. The atmosphere is fun, especially when the weather is nice and you can eat outside. Service is friendly and professional but casual-nice at the same time. The cocktails are amazing.
Delicious food, intriguing menu, great service, lovely patio, always a pleasure. It's our favorite neighborhood restaurant. We keep coming back
We had visited moonshine last year for the first time. The food was very good. We decided to come back to try it out again. I found the service very slow and spotty. The restaurant wasn’t very busy but it felt like a long time before our service came by the table. The vibe seemed different this time.
Well prepared meals. All-around great. A tad loud, but oh well -- Will be back
The food was so delicious! Additionally, the chef/owner, Asia Mei greeted every table and personally talked to diners. Asia even delivered the food, which was a nice touch. We found street parking right out front, on a Sat night. Will definitely be back!
I can't wait to go back! We had an absolutely amazing experience at Moonshine 152 on Wednesday, July 24th. I absolutely adore trying new restaurants and we had a Travelzoo deal for an insane amount of food at a great price, so even though the restaurant was an almost 40 minute drive through rush-hour traffic for us, we made the trek. It was absolutely worth it! The space is so funky and adorable. Our waiter was cheerful and knowledgeable. He helped us decide between a few options in multiple instances, and took excellent care of us, even though his section was totally full by the end of our meal. From our appetizer to our dessert, the food was INCREDIBLE! The funky cocktails and well-stocked beer and wine list were impressive. We had the jalapeno crab rangoons, which were to die for, with just the right amount of heat. I got the chicken and waffles and my hubby had the tiki roasted duck noodle salad. The chef owner brought our food out to us and chatted for a few minutes, which always means the world to me. She clearly loves everything about her job and is passionate about food. You can absolutely tell that Moonshine 152 is a labor of love, and I can't recommend it highly enough! We're headed back for brunch in a few weeks and know our experience will be fantastic, once again.
It was amazing. We saw Moonshine 152 on a Canadian food show called Late Night Eats and it didn’t disappoint. Everything we ate was unique and delish! Asia Mei, owner & chef, serves at least one dish to every group of customers and she is just as lovely as her food. It was so good we brought colleagues back for a meal the next night and they were equally impressed. My two faves were the BBQ duck tacos with kimchi and the grilled avocado stuffed with crispy quinoa.
Moonshine 152 has the best chicken and waffles I have ever had. Amazing cocktails too
This was a hidden gem wee found on trip to Boston. The food was unique and very flavorful. The server was very friendly and informative. She did a great job of explaining everything and making great recommendations. You can tell that everyone there really loves food and puts a lot of effort into making it a delicious dining experience.
More like a neighborhood bar, food was imaginative and tasty, serving size adequate, but greasy. Good selection of local and specialty beers.
Intriguing fusion menu. Creative cocktails, but a little expensive. Neighborhood feel with indoor bar and outdoor bistro seating streetside. Friendly and attentive service. Beer list needs upgrading.
