Montrachet at Bowen Hills, is located on King Street. Large windows enclose a lavishly furnished space, creating
intimacy for a world of luxury inside; white tablecloths, silver cutlery, rich timbers and a well-stocked bar and cellar are all redolent of a charming Parisian brasserie and perceptive waitstaff are attentive in fulfilling culinary desires.
Stepping into Montrachet is like stepping into a Parisian bistro. From the burgundy leather banquet that runs the length of the room, to the marble comptoir (bar), Montrachet oozes elegance and charm. Traditional overtones and design are accompanied by Laguiole cutlery, monogrammed crockery and the finest glassware. French antiques, metal pastis signs and gilt framed mirrors create an ambience perfectly complimentary to the French cuisine of executive chef and owner Clement Chauvin is famous for.

Our third dining experience with Montrachet. Always exceptional authentic French cuisine (one of the best in our experience). Can’t speak more highly of the resident chef, and so pleased the Canberra-based owner/chef has opened this Brisbane French restaurant.

We found from entering the premises that the level of service was of an extremely high quality. All the staff were very helpful and knowledgeable which greatly assisted us with our decision making. Food was of an excellent standard with presentation and taste spectacular. We certainly enjoyed ourselves and most certainly will be back.

Food quality, service, ambience all very good. Food portion size a bit on the small side. Overall a very good dining experience.

We have travelled around the world and been very fortunate to eat in wonderful locations and restaurants. I must say the service the food the staff, the ambience, one of the best restaurants in the world.

The Boulibaise was very sour and inedible. Manager Clement was very understanding and did not charge us for that course. The Tartare was ok, but not in the top few I have eaten. Tarte tatinne was outstanding.

The menu under the new owner/chef, Clement, is outstanding. Clement greets all his patrons with an infectious enthusiasm which, as you discover, is wholly justified. His modern take on classic French cuisine presents diners with a wonderful taste experience. I wholly recommend Montrachet as a "must go" restaurant.

Service was excellent - friendly, welcoming, non- intrusive, efficient. Crème brûlée was absolutely fantastic- so delicious. Although no complaints as such, both mains were no match for those we enjoyed 12 months ago (which we raved about at had time - admittedly different owner and chef).
