Montgomery Inn- Montgomery Rd.
Our world-famous ribs are definitely a hard act to follow. That’s why we also offer equally out-of-this-world entrées and combos, signature appetizers, soups and salads, and seriously decadent desserts. And if you have little ones who refuse to eat anything that’s not a nugget, children’s menus are available as well.
Whether it’s lunch, dinner, or carryout, there’s always something delicious you’ll want to try. But if you always decide to go with the ribs, we’re fine with that too.

Three had ribs which were delicious
One had brisket which was cold and tough.
Very disappointed. No sharp knife to attempt cutting . Lots of gristle. Would not order again.
Dining with friends so said nothing to waiter.
This place has gone downhill. Poor food quality and cold when came out. They tried to fix it but still wasn’t good the second time. Waste of money. With all the great barbecue places around town do not waste your time or money with this place. Our waitress was really but will never go again.
Celebrated our annual family Christmas dinner and it was great as usual. Service by Roxie was outstanding.
The only thing I didn't like was that I felt rushed. I had not even finished my salad when our food arrived. Our waiter commented that our food came out too quickly and said he didn't mean to rush things but that's exactly what was happening. I overheard him make the exact same comment to the people at an adjoining table when their food came out before they were ready.
Food was great service was horrible. Waitress wasn’t happy we didn’t order drinks.
Disappointed. Food was not warm and the chips were soggy. Didn’t have time to return them. Our waitress was funny and attentive.
Great food and service! Don’t leave without trying dessert!
My son wanted to have his birthday dinner here. Unfortunately, it was the worst experience we’ve ever had. The ribs were cold, tough and incredibly dry. My daughter found a hair in her macaroni & cheese! After that she was unable to eat. We had a nice waiter, but he didn’t deliyour meal instead an elderly waitress did. While she was placing our plates on the table, my son was trying to show her a picture that he drew and she screamed at him, you’ll have to wait! We were all so taken back. I’m appalled and disappointed by the quality of food and the service.
We had a very enjoyable meal. Service was exceptional. Montgomery Inn is one of our very favorite restaurants. We'll be back for sure.
The brisket was dry and horrible. We both laughed and said Dickies BBQ is better than this. This place would not survive any where outside of Cincy. Its like the Bengals, Skyline a crappy Cincy product that locals flock to a support because its Cincinnati and would fail any place else. In fact it has failed just like Skyline outside of Cincy. So attention out of towners STAY AWAY its really bad BBQ. Been here twice and both times walked away trying to get the taste out of my mouth.
My reservation was at 7. Kinda wanted to have a few beers but the waiter never came to ask if I wanted another. He simply just brought the check like he wanted us out if there. It was a little strange as it seemed dead in there super quiet. Kind of a weird experience.
Great time for our group of high school friends from 1966-69!
Dinner pace was excellent. Appreciated waiter working with our group as we were not in hurry. Everything was good in meal except beef brisket was a bit fatty. Otherwise would recommend.
Went here with an old friend and our husbands, who aren’t from Cincinnati, so they could experience the famous bbq! Everyone was pleased and we had a great time.
The Sauvignon Blanca was good and the Montgomery Mule was tasty. If you aren’t a pork or red meat fan, get the pulled chicken sandwich!
Very good service. Food was delivered in a timely manner. Server was excellent
The ribs aren’t what they used to be when I was a kid. My slab was dehydrated, like it might’ve been frozen. My son ordered a burger medium-rare and it was cooked all the way through. And it’s not like they were too busy - we sat down at 4:30 and the place was empty. Disappointing given the number of great meals I’ve had there over the years.
My husband and I came for our anniversary. I was excited, it had been a while since we ate hear and I’ve always loved your ribs. After arriving, I realized not much has been updated but didn’t think too much about it since we were mainly there for the ribs not the atmosphere. My ribs came and I could immediately see that they were dry. I had to ask for extra sauce. They were also tough. Usually they fall off the bone but this time they were tough and chewy. Not what I had remembered.
We were seated right away and our server was very attentive. We had a party of 9 which included 2 children. We were well taken care of, and our food came in a timely manner.
Lori our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. Good food served in a casual atmosphere.
I purchased the brisket. It is by far the toughest barbecue I have ever eaten. Sweet potatoes were soup like. Brussel sprouts were decent. Corn bread was mushy -Appeared to be under cooked.
The original nice they brought out still ahead remnants of the previous meal caked on it. Luckily, I had set it out on the table and when they cleared one of the classes they took it. When I ask for a Nice, the person mentioned that she mistakenly took the other night. Her mistake with my benefit.
I went to a 5K run the following day Ed Sheeran work. City barbecue provided barbecue for the event. If Montgomery in barbecue with it too, and city barbecue was an eight.
My family and I have enjoyed several outings to the Montgomery Inn (Original location as well as others). I can't remember ever having a bad, or less-than-stellar, experience.
I surprised my grandfather for Veterans Day. He and my grandmother had never been. It was such a lovely experience and made for a wonderful experience! Thank you!!
Food was good but the Mac and Cheese as a side was not what you would expect at this price point.
Booking through OpenTable is not very genuine, since they only take priority seating, so with a reservation on a weekend, you will still have to wait >30 minutes for your table, which is not expected.
While the service at Montgomery Inn remains excellent, the quality of food has deteriorated over the years. At our most recent visit, the ribs, pork chops, and brisket were all tough and dry. Even though it has been a favorite in the past, we will not be returning unless out-of-town guests insist.
I loved the food. Service was good. Next time Im in Cincinnati ill be back
Montgomery Inn is well, the Montgomery Inn. The service and food are consistent and that is ok by me. The down side - $28 for ribs is CRAZY money. They should be 30% less then that but for some reason the owners feel the market will support this price. As such, we skip them.
We Will be back. Nice dinner out with friends. Our waiter Drew was exceptional.
Food was average. Value poor. $34 Steak was no better than a home cooked streak. No salad or soup with meal. Moderate size portion with a small pile of onion strings. Not what I was expecting.
Tried a pulled chicken sandwich ... already mixed w bbq sauce... tasted old and smothered in sauce to cover it up.
Everything else was good.
Food was excellent. Had ribs of course. Service was superb, very attentive and helpful.
Best ribs in the universe!
The food and service were very good however I'm not a fan of the process of reservations or call ahead seating. We had a spot on open table reserved. When we arrived the walk in couple before us were told 35 to 40 min. We were also told the same time frame. That is irritating. There is Literally no point in making a reservation.
food was great. but there were lots of open tables and they seated us 30 minutes late.
that part was kind of upsetting. overall great dining experience.
Waitress was very scattered and couldn't even stand still to take our order. Our meal for 4 people I could have made at home for under $50 but it was nearly 3 times that. Food was average, ribs overcooked, new York strip was tough, pork chop was cool on the inside and not cooked all the way. After making online reservations, 2 days prior, we still waited 25 minutes. Very disappointed in the entire experience.
We had a really pleasant experience. 10 person family dinner, and our waiter was fantastic. The food is great...and I will admit I have had better ribs, there have not been many. Everything was delicious.
I was impressed with the ribs but didn't almost stay as we had a 7PM reservation and were not seated till 8PM. My son had just gone through an MRI and all the standing was hurting his knee. They put us at the end of the list as if we had walked in so reservations are COMPLETELY worthless! Very disappointing for a good resturant.
Montgomery Inn is a Cincinnati Standard. This is a great restaurant that does its food well. It has to, as the menu has not changed in a while. This is nothing bad, but don't go there looking for vegan or new cuisine. It is great at what it does.
Great ribs and excellent service. Stopped in on the way to Louisville. We do not have a Montgomery Inn Michigan.
We felt rushed through our meal, my fish was cold, the waiter kept trying to clear plates we weren’t finished with and while other people in our party were still eating and then ignored us after we paid. By far the worst experience we had at a Montgomery Inn. On a positive note, the valet attendants were very nice.
