Wonderful food and great service ! We loved the experience and dessert too !
Food was AMAZING! All of the Pinsas looks delicious so it was hard to pick just one. Don’t miss out on the dessert pinsa as well-so yummy! Just go, you won’t be disappointed!
This is great pizza, with magic flower in the basic crust.
Nice experience, good food
Unique place with unique pizza crusts. Service was good with only 2 waiters working entire restaurant. Pizza was one of a kind with a solid beverage selection. Worth the stop if in portland
What a lovely, unassuming place. We had delicious food, wonderful wine, and a really delightful time all tied together by the truly exceptional service of Charlie. He was charming but not too charming, helpful With our ordering quandaries but not pushy, really a pleasure. Can’t wait to go back to this place!
Nice Italian place at a nice place! Love their cheese, meat and pinsa!
Amazing food!! Best pizza in town! Authentic and delicious! Great service as well
Fabulous find, best Italian cooked ham with burrata as an appetizer/small plate. Pizza was beyond terrific, amazing selection of toppings and a the absolute best crust I have ever had. Wine selection and advice was experienced and solid. Nice ambience, a little noise but certainly acceptable. Will go back anytime.
Couple of good dishes but nothing special. Nice atmosphere and good cocktails.
Delicious food, fabulous server who knew we (9 of us) had a play to catch, various dietary considerations all cared for. About $50 a person including lots of salad, pizza, wine, and tip. This was my 4th visit and I highly recommend.
Montesacro is a wonderful space that delivered a great dining experience. We will be back!!
Wonderful, polite staff serving such delicious menu items! I’ll be back!
Great staff, setting and food
Awesome for vegetarian s
Lovely little Italian gem
The food and the service were excellent. The menu is somewhat confusing but our server, Phoebe, was knowledgable and very helpful with the questions we had. There were six of us in our group and every one of us deemed the food and service to be excellent.
The pizza crust and the bread were perfect & so delicious! The server seemed inexperienced, but was polite. Although we hadn’t realized this is basically a nice “pizza” restaurant, and pizza s not one of our favorites, we enjoyed it.
This is my third trip to Montesacro. Excellent overall. The crust on the pinsa is a revelation. Would come back again!
This was very good all the way around. A bit pricey for what it is, especially wines by the glass. Pizza really just needs a basic red choice, carafe blend or Chianti. But crust, cheese & toppings were very tasty and good service
Delicious food. Great setbice
With so many great restaurant options in the Portland metro area, it's rare that my wife and I go to the same place twice in the same season, much less the same month. However, after our first visit to Montesacro two Sundays ago, we had such a tremendous meal and experience that we were back again just one week later. And the second time was as good as, if not even better than, the first.
Our server (Charlie) remembered us from the first visit and we quickly engaged in a conversation. We introduced our sons and their girlfriends and everyone settled in. We ordered cocktails and waded into the difficult task of figuring out which salads, meats/cheeses and pinsas we would order and share, with some great advice from Charlie.
As it had been on our first visit, the salads were fresh and flavorful, and the carpaccio was delicious (we split the three between the six of us, which was perfect). We ordered four pinsas with very different flavor profiles and all four were delicious...only a couple slices survived (and were quickly boxed up).
We highly recommend Montesacro and will definitely be back soon.
Dinner was delicious and the staff very attentive. We loved it here and will definitely come back!
Top notch Charlie was our server really enjoyed it… Way to make pizza special and I love it
I had high expectations based on their description as authentic Roman working class fare. I've been to Rome and was looking forward to the wonderful imaginative and vivid flavors that appear to only be possible in Italy.
Service was terrific, people are very nice, food was a bit too bland for me. Be bold, put it all out there
Best pizzeria Romana in PDX!
First time at this restaurant, I will be back and soon. Fabulous menu with many Italian style appetizers, a huge selection of cheese and charcuterie, bright salads with farm fresh ingredients and pizza with an extra ordinary choice of ingredients. Their signature pizza crust was light fluffy and a little charred which was truly outstanding. Great wine selection and a knowledgeable Italian server. I totally recommend this place.
Great addition to the PDX food scene!! Authentic Italian food with some unique flavors and dishes you won’t find anywhere else. Especially great if you like sharing small dishes. Authenticated by my significant other, who is from Rome. Buon appetito!
Charming restaurant, delicious food and ambiance - sitting in the at our outside table drinking aperol spritz and eatting pinsa - you can almost imagine you are spending the afternoon in Rome. Highly recommended
Had a salad and their version of pizza. Both were quite good. Pizza size is shareable
We had fantastic fresh salads and pinsa! Lovely outdoor seating and great service!
A lovely little restaurant in the Pearl and the food, once we got it, was solid. Server was just great, but the kitchen was slow as molasses. We arrived at 6:15 pm, did not order cocktails and left 2 hours later. OOPS! And our order was simple. Two pizzas, a shared salad and two sides of vegetables. Thank God we had good conversation.
Decent neopolitan pizza. I’ve had the real deal in Naples and their pizza was just ok in comparison.
The wine, food, and service were great. If you’re in the mood for Italian this place is perfect. 10/10 recommend!
Our best meal in Portland. And we are pizza snobs! A real highlight of the trip. Strongly recommend.
Wonderful dinner sitting outside. Warm, attentive staff. Delicious food!!
The pinsa is delicious—flavorful, hearty and creative. The other menu items were good, although portions were small and not outstanding when comparing to other local Italian restaurants with similar price point. Service was excellent and I like that they have happy hour. We’ll be back!
This is a very cute place with great ambiance. The meat and cheese board was outstanding, along with the Roman-style pizza. Everything tasted very fresh, and our server made sure we loved everything. I highly recommend this place for a date night. We have been recommending this to all of our friends and will be back soon!
We are frequent travelers to Italy, & had loved everything about our previous dining experiences at Montesacro. It had been just the two of us, after our first time, we pretty much knew what we wanted(the delicious burrata from the piatti freddi section of the menu, & the Casal Bertone & Trullo pinsas to share). We didn't pay much attention to the price of the items, & don't remember if they may have gone up since the last time we ate there. This time, we brought two other couples to introduce them to the wonders of pinsa. In addition to everyone wanting their own pinsa, after some consultation, we thought we wanted the Tagliere Misto for the table (3 choices each of cheese & meat at a special price), & chose them according to some of our dietary concerns. When we placed the order, we were told that the chef chooses the items, & we'd have to order what we wanted a la carte if we didn't want to take our chances. At $6 per, that meant it would be $36, rather than $26 for the chef's selection. We opted for 2 cheeses & 2 meats, plus the must-have burrata, & a salad, which we were going to order anyway. We were quite surprised at how small the cheese portions were, especially for $6 each, barely enough for all of us to have a tiny taste. The honey & fruit paste accompaniments were also very stingy, & hard to share. Fortunately, the meat portions were more generous, as we had expected. Everything was delicious, so no complaints about that, the burrata & salad portions were big enough to share. Everyone but one of our group(not a fan of the thicker dough edges, go figure) really liked the pinsas they ordered, would have no problem coming back again for more, just won't order cheese as a starter. The rustic, casual atmosphere was a hit, the service much appreciated.
We had been to this restaurant in San Francisco and were so excited to stumble upon the same restaurant in Portland. It was delicious and reasonably priced.
Absolutely fantastic pizza and phenomenal service by Charlie. Meat and cheeses, almonds, apricot, and fresh honey- excellent pairings. Pizza is not my go-to, but this was excellent with a perfect crust. Charlie was informative and pleasant to have as our server and host!
