Montesacro's first location opens in San Francisco in 2015 as the first Pinseria in the US.
Amazing authentic Italian comfort food. Engaging and friendly staff. A gem of a find.
This is one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants. Tried a new salad this time, Arugula with roasted Delicata squash. It was absolutely delicious. We each get our own Pinsa, so there are plenty of leftovers to enjoy.
Fantastic food as always. The pizza dough is light crisp and unique. The ingredients are very fresh and the Aperol spritz is fantastic!
So good !!! Love this place. I heard they are closing ?? I sure hope not. WhT a loss that would be
Fantastic experience. Great atmosphere.
Always fabulous. Our go-to during the pan
Loved the pinsa and the Cauliflower salad! Their Rose by the glass was delicious!
Amazing pizza, great helpful staff and overall lovely experience!
Great food , great people and amazing experience .
Fabulous dining experience, great food, pleasant atmosphere and personable owner and staff.
We love Montesacro. Friendly and welcoming staff and great atmosphere — at least pre-Covid when we could go inside! Best of all are the pinsa, which are fresh and light and so much better than pizza. Only disappointment are the side salads, which could use some more creativity. Please support this restaurant. There is nothing like it in Portland!
Great food in a pleasing atmosphere. The waitstaff is excellent also.
The food was amazing! I thought the main menu’s could all just use a pinch of extra salt and the tiramisu wasn’t sweet enough. But other than that; really great experience!
Fabulous as always! I'll be back on Friday for more! Thanks for another amazing meal.
Service was great and the food was fresh and delicious
The food is fantastic! We will be back!!
Lovely yummy fun
Always delicious and the staff are delightful!
Love this little gem in the Pearl. It’s got a nice, Italian farmhouse vibe, comfortable and adorable decor. The wait staff is not only very knowledgeable but also very kind and pleasant. They don’t hover, but allow you time to enjoy and savor.
The wine list is very good and their recommendation s are always spot on.
I have enjoyed their speciality cocktails and everyone was very lovely.
Their happy hour is very reasonable, good selections and is every day from 4-5pm.
Their dining menu is small but they seem to be excellent at everything. We enjoyed the charcuterie and cheese platter, the Kale and anchovy salad, the margarita Pinsa, of which the dough is fantastic. It is light and airy, puffed up and cooked to perfection, the fresh mozzarella and basil is fabulous. For dessert we enjoyed the pannacotta with aged balsamic vinegar and berries, so delicious, not too sweet and not much of a vinegar taste, the vanilla was excellent.
We have been at least 10 times and always enjoy this little place. Don’t miss it!
Seever was spot on and very good at explaining the menu, pinsa, and specials. Was also very knowledgeable about wines!
The host forgot to check me in through Open Table even after I told him when I arrived. Luckily I noticed and had him correct this before leaving. He also asked if I wanted another drink when he delivered our pinsa to the table. But he also forgot to put the order in.
Luckily, our server checked backed in and made sure to get what I had asked for.
Overall excellent service by the server and wonderful food and drinks. There could be a bit better attention and detail by the host especially when it wasn’t busy when we arrived. Nothing too horrible, but it would make the experience much more rounded out.
It was really good. We should have ordered wine by the bottle not the glass.
Wonderful authentic Italian food. The owner is lovely!
Fun, Fresh new "pizza" place with a twist. Friendly attentive service. I felt like I was in a little restaurant in Italy!
I cant recommend this restaurant enough. This place was welcoming, yet quaint. Gourmet yet not overpriced. Service was casual but friendly. Our party of 6 just had the best time sipping good wine, and sharing 6 of their amazing dishes. If I was to give them one thing to improve on is their desserts. We had 3 for the table and none of them I would order again. (well, maybe the tiramisu which was the perfect size and served in a lidded jar--so very cute!).
Staff was so nice and accommodating. Would like different salad choices 🤷♀️
I was part of a group of 9 and we arrived right as the restaurant opened. Our waiter created a relaxed, friendly and fun environment. Even as the restaurant became more busy the service we received did not change.
Wonderful true Italian food and good wine with service that was both attentive and friendly. We will definitely return for the food and experience !
Birthday party with 13 people was amazing!!
Montesacro is our favorite restaurant for pizza--absolutely delicious!
We were in early and it was pretty nice and quiet but around 6:30 it got very loud with the tall ceilings. Very good food and decent value. Service was congenial and fun like they really like their jobs! I’d go back for sure.
Apps were very good, but the pinsas lacked flavor, and that is the main point of the restaurant. We had the raddicchio salad, kale salad with anchovy dressing, meatballs and cauliflower to start. All were delicious. We had the Margerita Pinsa and one with artichoke, muchrooms, pepperoni and a hard-boiled egg. They were just ok.
We had an excellent experience all around and will definitely be back
The atmosphere was nice and we were greeted warmly by one of the waiters, who I wish had served us. We had a few questions about the menu as it was our first time. The menu looked good and we we asked a few questions and got one word answers. We selected a few items and were very surprised by the lack of quantity for the cost. The couple next to us were served by the waiter who sat us and received a detailed explanation of the menu. They ordered the same salad I did and i was surprised to see it was twice as big! the Pinsa was good but very small for the $$. Disappointing to leave a restaurant still hungry. The food itself was very good, however, I will not be returning.
Very cool little bistro. The atmosphere was chill. The food was amazing - dessert (especially the tiramisu) is delicious. Excellent beverage selection. The price is surprisingly good for the quality - definitely worth every penny.
This is an amazing restaurant, the food is perfect! I already recommended Montesacro to all my friends!
This was a perfect date place, we could hear each other talk, the food and drinks were amazing! We will be coming back for sure!!! One thing, our server was on point and she was very nice and we didn’t have to wait for anything. Thank you!
I tried Montesacro "pizza" when it first appeared in Portland and fell in love. Great selection of unique pizza toppings and the wine selection is very good. Chinotto drinks are very good. You can get a vermouth with Chinotto, but I usually end up getting a Chinotto drink with a shot of vodka.
We had a fabulous meal, ordering the PINSA, which is why we tried the rest for the first time. Also had the very delicious cauliflower dish. The PINSA was much larger than anticipated, but neither of us left a single morsel. Our server was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and guided us flawlessly to menu choices and wine.
We will definitely return, but wish there was a second location on the east side!
Honestly speaking best Italian restaurant in Portland, authentic food, amazing service, great environment. Burrata with pesto and Roman margherita pinsa are fantastic. you should go!
Wonderful food and great service ! We loved the experience and dessert too !
