It resembles old Roman “Fraschette” offering a wide selection of artisanal cheeses and cured meats, cold dishes from Roman tradition and a modern take on Pinsa, a low fat, low calorie and easy to digest flat bread made with a blend of rice, soy and wheat flour imported directly from Rome, all GMO free.
Our wine list represents mostly old world regions. We carry wines that are made from grape varietals native to their respective areas. We feature smaller producers of less known wines with a focus on organic, biodynamic and natural agriculture.

Great service great food great environment.
I didn’t like it… I loved it……!
Wonderful food. We especially enjoyed the Ostia.😊
Great , unique food in an unconventional street
Good vibes and even better customer service. Will definitely be back!
They were very accommodating with our reservation when our work day went late . Welcomed us at the door and escorted us up to the terrace. Wonderful food, really amazing ingredients !
Weird location, but food was worth it.
The food was phenomenal. BEST pizza I’ve ever had. His ingredients are as fresh as can be. His method is old school and delicious!! The host took personal Care of us. Eclectic place. Loved it.
It’s a wonderful restaurant but in a very sketchy area and the streets lead to it are dirty.
Montesacro needs to open another restaurant in the South Bay like in Mountain View or Sunnyvale....
Other than some of the uncomfortable metal chairs this is a great spot. Like walking into some highly rated Spot in a Rome neighborhood though this is on the edge of one of SFs edgy neighborhoods. The pinseria are wonderful- light and flavorful. As are the vegetables in oil. Our server was just the right amount of attentive. Thanks again.
Great food, very interesting setting up on the roof deck.
LOVE Monte Sacro, but the sevice is beyond bad. Friendly! But disorganized.
This is the best hidden spot for pinsa in San Francisco. Period. Service was great & the food delicious. This is the perfect place to take a date or friends & family!
First time eating Pinsa and loved it. The atmosphere is laid back and seems that everyone waits on you not just one waiter. Very friendly.
Food and service were superior. First pinza on the menu is unreal. Dessert pistachio pinza decadent.
Tomas is a skilled server and guide. His warmth and attentiveness are exceptional.
Location isn’t great but view from inside could be from a Roman side street cafe. Nice vibe. Local diners were cool.
One of our favorite reminders of how much we wish we could jet off to see our Italian friends. We ate on the roof, which was lively yet chill. Fantastic service as always, and the food was great.
LOVE Monte Sacro, and the Thursday rooftop scene with live music is a joy.
Great meal great service great restaurant
We had a wonderful family dinner at MontesacroSF! Would highly recommend for an lively family dinner or group outing with friends!
Amazing authentic Italian food and great service. Be careful in the neighborhood but absolutely worth the visit to this restaurant.
Great rooftop terrace, friendly staff and delicious pinsa!
Wonderful food & everything
Fantastic restaurant great service wonderful atmosphere a diamond in the rough
Best pinsas in town, great ambience - and selection of cheese / charcuterie.
Pinsas are outstanding, flavorful, expensive pizzas. Our pizzas took over 30 minutes to arrive to the table but with our wine and appetizers the wait was ok. This restaurant is definitely a SF gem just be careful because the neighborhood is sketchy.
Pinsa was wonderful! I had never had it before, but I think I like it more than pizza now. Most importantly, the service was outstanding. It was just like being in Italy, all super helpful and welcoming. We ate on the terrace, really nice ambiance.
Fun experience, great setting, great food, charming waiter
Great place and the food tastes great.
Our simple pizzas took an hour and a half.
We stumbled upon this gem when we were staying at a hotel in the area and were so impressed. Our waiter took us on a culinary adventure with a great wine suggestion paired with an amazing selection of cheeses and cured meats. We then went on to enjoy an amazing pizza and locally sourced mozzarella. My only regret is that we couldn’t keep going through the menu. What a find! Highly recommended!
Fantastic food service and ambience it’s definitely a go to place all the time
Good food, excellent choice of wines and lovely staff!
love this place. excellent food and the patio is really nice and covid safe.
We were seated on the beautiful roof terrace since we requested to sit outside. The heaters were warm and plentiful, and the ambience was lovely. The food here is always amazing. And the waiters attentive but not over bearing.
Delicious and authentic Italian food in a very nice atmosphere.
The Vegan pizza was outstanding. The crust of their pizza makes everything taste great.
This place is great! The atmosphere is chill and cool the staff is also really friendly. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. best pinsas in town, some Italian classics, and some twists, and for their prices, it’s 100% worth it.
I can't believe this place has been open for 6-7 years... how have I not been here before? So good, great for group. Super chill/casual, food was INCREDIBLE... all of it. Really friendly and attentive service. We went with 6 people which I was very happy about as we got to try more things on the menu. We will definitely be back!!
A unique Italian restaurant serving Romas specialties. It comes with very urban surroundings but the food is top quality and Nino, our host was outstanding. Will definitely return for more.
Wonderful experience! I look forward to returning soon.
After a year of no travel it was great to feel like you were in Rome. Wonderful place and super hardworking staff. It was delicious.
