We have enjoyed Monterey many times for dinner. Last night the main courses were very disappointing. The starters were good, Cesar salad, onion bread & a shrimp appetizer. But the pasta was tasteless for my main courses, the chicken dish for someone else with us was not cooked enough, the burger was not great and the steak was just ok. The desserts were good but not rushing back unfortunately.

Drinks were very underwhelming. I ordered an expresso martini and they brought it in very small wine glass. Not classy at all. Food was good.

My husband and I had dinner here last night and it was a 10/10 experience. From the martini (the ultimate chilled martini I think it was called), tans the food and wine, to the service and ambiance, everything was on point. Our server Bora and Chip the Sommelier were very attentive and helpful. This is not an inexpensive meal by any means, but it is on par with steakhouse pricing. We were very happy and had a great time!

Burger was 10 oz, but it was two thin patties of beef so the burger was not juicy as it would normally be if it were one Pattie. Beef quality was good though.
