Very, very old decoration. Food is ok. Don’t spend your time and money there.

We were having a very nice evening and remarked to one another how the ambiance was so nice. Unfortunately, shortly there after, there was a drunken couple near us who were arguing loudly and profanely. So sad.
They ruined the otherwise quit and romantic room.
I do wish the restaurant had asked them to leave. But understand this may have made matters worse.

The food was good but the restaurant only had a few other couples eating there. A quiet dining experience.

This is authentic Italian food in a refined setting. It is possible to conduct a quiet conversation while enjoying good food. I recommend the lobster ravioli.

When you walk in you think great quiet restaurant in a quiet street but 85/ noisy when ther are 3 or more tables filled. Food is Average and overpriced for what it is.

Make sure to ask for the price fixed menu.
Been here a few times. This is the first time Salmon did not taste fresh.
Good place- but in NYC one OK meal and I am tempted to try a new place.
Come on Monteb...get with it.

As always, a wonderful dining experience! Every mouthful a delight. Impeccable service with warm, caring staff. Joe Bozic is the perfect host and it always feels like I'm coming home. Bravi!

It was disappointing that the restaurant was so empty, but NYC in August is like that. However, I would go back there.

Well executed classic Italian fare. Solid service and nicely priced. The decor is a little tired and the chair seats could use a cushion...hard and somewhat uncomfortable

This is a consistently great dining experience. Such a rare find in NYC - delicious food in a space where you can actually converse without having to raise your voice. The wait staff are professionals - not temporary help on the way to something else. A classic and classy place to have a good meal and enjoy the company of those at your table. What more could you hope for?

I have given this restaurant a low rating because I ordered an appetizer and an entree not on the menu that was one of the "Specials" the waiter told us about without telling us prices, and it turned out that both dishes were more expensive than other comparable dishes that were on the menu. Similarly, at the end of the meal they brought over a desert card for us to select desert items with no idea of their cost. I would not go back to a restaurant with those trade practices. We thought the total check was excessive for the value of the meal.

We enjoyed our evening and the food was good, but the price was high relative to the quality particularly in comparison to many other UES Italian restaurants. We had a server switch about half-way through with no announcement, which is a pet peeve of mine having worked and eaten in restaurants for years. The first server rushed us, obviously because he was wanting leave -- the second server was much better -- more relaxed and yet attentive. Again, the food was good, just not great enough to return to with all of the other places I want to eat at in Manhattan.

One of my neighborhood favorites. Consistently good food and good service with a reasonably quiet ambience so that you can have a pleasant conversation over dinner. I like it a lot. And there is a private room that can hold 25 to 35 people easily. I heartily recommend it.

Very good for a friendly, leisurely lunch. The food was very good and priced well since it was "Restaurant Week". The tables are a bit close together, but it was quiet and easy to have a conversation.

We live in Pennsylvania and go on the same yearly trip. This is always our go to for Friday night. We have been here for many years and have never had a bad meal. The food is amazing, staff is great We look forward to this every year. A little pricey but when the food is amazing, sometimes you don't mind paying a little more.

The food was mediocre and it was clear they did not want Restaurant week visitors. I had sausage that was not even as appealing as the same street sausage one buys at a New York street fair. They managed to charge me twice for the same meal.

Delicious food in a quiet and elegant atmosphere with excellent service. Salads on the price side ($17) but other options priced well. Delicious Pici pasta and Chicke Montebellow. Attentive and pleasant staff.

I came for restaurant week and overall was not that impressed. The quality of the food wasn't great, I had a seafood pasta dish that was too oily/buttery. The service was ok, not bad but not great either.

Portion sizes and choices were excellent for a Restaurant Week dinner. Food was very good. And an extra and very important, for me, plus, is that you could talk to your dinner companion without shouting!!! Really enjoyed it and I will be back.

As usual, a exceptionally enjoyable dining experience. This is a neighborhood gem in Midtown NYC which always results in a meal where we have taken considerable number of people over the years and everyone wanted to return on their own.
