The Blue room offers the same flexibility in the soft glow of blue light, and a relaxing twenty foot water wall. Seating up to 40 guests, this room is completely private.

    Great steaks and service by Sara. Always a go to place for a really nice meal .no need to travel outside our local area for superb food and service

    Montarra has always been our go to place for special occasions or just to enjoy a wonderful meal. However, something has happened to end that! Our last great meal at Montarra was July 2019. Since then, on two occasions, both my husband and my dinners (grouper and chilean sea bass) were dry and lacked the wonderful sauces and combination of flavors that were an expected Montarra standard.

    Have been there in the past and very happy. Our server was very nice, however once we ordered our meal took at least half an hour to come to table. My scallops were cold, but my husband said his filet was good.

    One of the top restaurants in all of Illinois is Montarra located in Algonquin. Fine dining at its finest, Executive Chef Joshua Lynn's offerings are all outstanding, appetizers through desserts. Even their drinks menu is creative. I don't say this often, but Montarra is a Bucket List restaurant. Service was very good, prices are moderate, beautifully designed space... but the food is for those that appreciate the finer things in life. Five stars in every category. Montarra is as good as, if not better, than the best restaurants in Chicago, New York and Los Angeles. Trust me, I've been there. Thank you, Chef Lynn. You and your team are doing outstanding work. I'll be back soon.
