Montana's is our usual go-to restaurant. What was unusual last night is that the chicken was not added to TWO of the customers Apple Pecan Chicken Salad. We were introducing another couple to our favourite restaurant. A bit embarrassing when two orders were so obviously wrong. The food was great and the server was generally attentive.

was disappointed with nachos. Ordered meat & cheese only on nachos. They arrived with all kinds of onions, peppers and misc. fillers. We were told that they come pre-packaged and pre-mixed. this tells me that this item has more fill and less meat. The order for chicken tenders was thin chicken fingers. Good service though.

We had a birthday dinner at Montana’s. The restaurant was steady with people but appeared to have adequate staff for the busyness. Our server was amazing. Quick, knowledgeable and great with our kids (Hailey was her name). We ordered appetizers, main meals and desserts. Everything was timed out perfectly and great quality checks were completed at the appropriate times. Overall a great experience and would definitely be back (with the kids).

Although the service was commendable and attentive, the quality of the food (ribs) was not so! If you ask for this menu item, ensure that you request ribs with a minimum amount of fat on them, otherwise it is 50-50 and you end up chewing through a lot of rib-fat! The most disturbing aspect of the meal was finding two separate hairs in our meals - one in my wife's ribs meal and one in my own. That as disgusting!

Service was good. Sirloin steak was very tough. Very very loud table of 4 next to us. Feel that staff should’ve asked them to tone it down.

Although we have visited Montana's multiple times over the years, unfortunately, the service and quality has been declining. After arriving early for our 5:45 reservation, it took well over 45 minutes to order our food, and being a family of 5 with 3 kids all under 8, this is unacceptable. I also made sure to mention to our server that we are celebrating a birthday which she replied "oh, nice". Does Montana's not celebrate birthdays anymore with the antler hat and honking of the horn? I also made a point to mention this on our OpenTable reservation. Our appetizer came out at 6:55pm and then the kids meals followed at 7:05pm to which one of their meals was incorrect. This prompted another wait. Our meals followed at 7:20pm and then the replacement kid's meal arrived at 7:25pm. The meal was a plate of plain cheese nachos. All of the cheese was situated around the bottom of the plate. Not quite sure how that is messed up. Desserts for the kids came after we had to order them which should have been done at the time of our initial order when again prompted around wait. We finally paid our bill and left at 7:35pm. I realize that businesses are experience staffing shortages and maybe there was a dining rush, however, the unnecessary wait times followed up by incorrect meals with another wait especially with a family with 3 young children going out for a celebratory meal on their first day back at school AND to celebrate a birthday is unacceptable for an establishment with such a long history in the city and being a national chain. We might be back, but not after following up on future customer reviews to see if progress has been made.

The Bad My reservation instructions were fully ignored. Food was not well presented on plate…but was edible. The same thing I’d say if eating at my aunts….without paying the $30 for an over cooked steak on a plate. The Good Waitress was friendly while at table & delivered all the right dishes to us. The Ugly Having negotiate with non carrying Hostess that I get a table style that I reserved over 72 hours ago. Table not Booth! Host: “….would take a half booth & table? “ ….how about a High top?” Me : No! We’re 4some of 85’s & 61’s year olds with a cane & bad limps…(wtf?) I’d like what I specifically requested….table not near an exit…because there are currently 6 open that I can see. My need was met & we got our table. The time between order & delivery of meals 55 minutes (long) 1 - bunless burger, 1 - chicken strips w O-rings, 1 loaded Baker & 1 -10oz Striploin w Baker…..FYI how does a meat potato place under cook baked potatoes!

Every plate and piece of silverware was dirty (food bits dried on or streaks from oil). The chicken burrito bowl is half the size it used to be the chicken breast is tiny and rubbery now. I understand inflation and rising prices but the quantity and quality has decreased significantly.

Enjoyed our visit to Montana’s ... The service was great ! Our server Sydney was GREAT she looked after all of our needs . My Wife and I both had the Smoked Ribs . I would have them again we will be back . I would recommend to friends and family ..

The service was awesome and the food was the best, just a point that my steak was overcooked so my wife traded with me because her steak was closer to our request. The server offered us free desert as compensation which was acceptable, thank you. We enjoyed the evening very much thanks.

My wife and I enjoyed our meal at Montana's. The food tasted really great. Its' presentation was appetizing and the portion size was more than adequate. The waitress was courteous and friendly at the same time. We really appreciated that Montana's has cushions on the booths and chairs which weren't present on the other times we attended at Montana's. The lack of cushioned seating was the reason we didn't frequent Montana's in the past. We now will attend the restaurant on more occasions because of the cushioned seating now available.

I used open table to make reservations. There were many available tables when we arrived and we still had to wait for them to clean a booth which I had requested. My husband had to wait a long time for his beer. Our meals were satisfactory. We only go out to eat maybe four times a year and this experience was disappointing.

Found out that all fried food is fried in the same oil such as seafood or shellfish in same oil as all other foods such as wings, fries, onion rings etc. as is most things on the menu so the problem is I have a serious shellfish allergy and that made the choices very limited, even though I have eaten here many many times not knowing this till now and not having any previous issues to date that I am aware of, I am now very wary about future visits now this is in my head and will definitely reconsider my frequent visits. I was some what shocked to find this out after all this time but are hoping you may consider limiting some fryers to just shellfish as this could become a serious issue in the future plus I love your food and would like to know I can eat in confidence I am not going to die for a meal. Thank you.

We ordered appetizers they where served very efficiently, however after 3/4 bites our meals arrived . I ordered fajitas and they definitely where not sizzling like the menu says, I do believe they fried some peppers and o ions and put some chicken on top and that was it . No warm pan was used for the sizzle part.

Early reservation at 5 for 2 adults 3 kids. Wasn’t busy. Husband ordered all you can eat ribs. First rack showed up in a timely manner. Second rack took 45 mins to get to him, meanwhile the rest of the table was now finished including kids desserts. Was told by our waitress that she had spoke to the manager but no one came to speak to us. We were told it’s because the restaurant is busy why it took so long by our waitress. Restaurant was not busy. I ordered nachos. When they came chips were still dripping in grease and all the topping were piled in the center as if someone pick up a handful and plopped it in the center. I ended up taking it to go so I could fix it at home. Very disappointed. Most likely will not be returning.

We got to the restaurant on Saturday night at 6pm - luckily we booked via OpenTable because it was so busy! Food was fast and super yummy and our server was very nice. Thank you Montana’s Thunder Bay!
