Manager was our server and she was just going through the motions ….zero personality.
Food was great as always. Service was just ok. The beer that was advertised as being on super sale was out of stock so we were offered Coors light instead. It was awful so paid more for beer that tasted like beer.
there were 3 of us and we all enjoyed our meal and the ambiance.
We had a wonderful time and great food. We felt that the staff did a good job at keeping us healthy & safe. Thank you Montana’s at Signal Hill SW, Calgary.
I’ve ordered a AAA steak and my boyfriend ordered the all you can eat rib. The steak was like a cardboard quality even the cheapest steak at a grocery mart would’ve been better than this. The rib was sooooo dry as well. Total waste of $60. The spinach dip and the server was great. I wouldn’t be coming back here for sure. Maybe their wings are good? (Wings are hard to be dry so...)

Food was good, but it took forever for food to come. It’s not the first time either so I know it wasn’t just one bad night. It wasn’t even packed in there!
Would have been better, except for a screaming child that continued to run around the restaurant and scream for over half an hour
Montana's is always a good option for lunch and celebrate birthday!
Waited 40 minutes for our food which was a salad and chicken fajitas. No communication regarding the delay and it was very quiet so not a lot of other tables. Asked for several things removed from salad but they were on it.

It was a good choice for the children, but the server was not polite or attentive.
Service was slow generally but particularly in getting our food orders delivered. We were told the kitchen was “a little backed up” even though the restaurant was only about half full. We eventually had to leave and take our food to go as we had a movie to get to, after about 50 minutes. They did discount our meal but the experience was very stressful and unsatisfactory.
We went to Montana's for the first time in ages and were sadly disappointed. We made our reservation through open table so we didn't wait long to be seated but then once we got our table it took awhile before we had a waiter come over. Once he came, he took our drink order which was literally just water and one iced tea and again it took way too long to get our drinks. The waiter was very nice and friendly, it was just the long wait to even get him to come to our table, then wait again for our drinks then wait again for our food! It was almost 50 mins from the time we sat down to the time we got our food. We didn't order any appetizers so everyone was very hungry. I looked around the restaurant and every table had no food it seemed and you could see people were getting impatient then all of a sudden waiters were coming out with food. The food itself was good but just the waiting was too long. They had enough staff it seemed so not sure why it took so long? Compared to other family restaurants they need to really improve the service standards at this location.
We went on Valentine’s Day, 6 pm only to be told they were all out of ribs! Spoke to the manager who said they sold out right away, obviously they under ordered especially being Valentine’s Day! We were very disappointed but it was too late to go anywhere else! Glad we stayed the good was delicious, the service provided by server Envi was fantastic, and management gave us our meal on the house! What a great gesture on their behalf! They know how to treat their clients! We’ll definitely be back there again! Hopefully for the ribs!
Second time we have been here and the food was average to poor. We specifically went for ribs this time for the kids. Montana's had no ribs. Great job Montanas.
Went there for dinner to celebrate my husbands birthday. Took al 4 kids along (between the ages 11 months and 8 years). It was child friendly experience. Friendly staff. Did wait a while for our food and drinks but was worth the wait. Ordered steak and it was so so tender and was just the way I like it. Kids also enjoyed their meals.
Today's service was incredible smooth and great. Our attendance was nice and help us with the birthday to my wife
We came for a Birthday celebration. Christin (the server from Newfoundland) took special care of us and helped make it a very special event. We like coming to Montanas for special celebrations because the food and atmosphere is very nice. The new reservation system is easy to use and makes the long waits to be seated a thing of the past.
Food was good, better than some Montana’s-and i am a Montana’s fan! Service great, ambiance average for Montana’s. Great value!
My only complaint would be the womens’ bathroom. Not clean, garbage overflowing, clearly no one checking on a regular basis and at least two of the stall door locks were not working. Bathrooms matter!!
Incredibly slow night. It was my daughter’s birthday and no song was sung and no antlers etc. Maybe they were still coming but after 1.5 hours of getting very slow service we didn’t have to time wait with 5 young kids at the table.
This isn’t the first time I have noticed very slow service but I thought coming on a night that wasn’t dedicated to kids (kids eat free) it would be different. It wasn’t.
We waited 50 minutes for our food and then it came out cold.
We went for a family event and enjoyed the variety of the menu, as well as, the offerings on the children’s menu. Took advantage of the daily bar specials and found the final total very reasonable.
We went to celebrate a birthday and we had a very good time there. The service was fast, friendly, and the food was very tasty. Lots of choice on the menu. We will definitely be returning to Montana's.
Cheap, bland chain food — but surprisingly expensive for what you get. Not worth it.
As for ambience, they’ve put ugly “daylight” style lightbulbs everywhere, casting the whole place in an awful, institutional ‘skim milk’ shade of bluish-grey light. Kind of wrecked the cutesy log cabin feel.
We won’t be back. Lots of way better, higher quality options at the same price level.

Overall it was mediocre at best. It was very busy and the restaurant may have been under-staffed. Our waiter Steve was friendly enough. Food was bland. Service time was long. Part of my entrée was missing and the manager was quick to take responsibility yet blame me at the same time.. She did amend the bill, simply asked the kitchen to fix it.
The saving grace is that this place is very good for children. The bathroom has sinks and dryers which are kid friendly heights. Coloring on the table paper is also fun. Obtaining a high chair was simple. You also don't have to worry about the sound...
Has to visit do my dad could enjoy all you can eat ribs. The food was great and the mini donuts the perfect end to the meal. Excellent value for the amount of food we received. The all you can eat ribs got kudos from my the dad; the steaks the thumbs up from my mom and husband. I had the sample platter and was able to taste a bit of everything, which is how I like it.
