I love the restaurant but was very disappointed that there were no dirty fortunes. That was the fun part. I heard it was because one lady complained. That’s messed up
Great waitress, food, ambience
Food and service was excellent always love dining there especially for special occasions
The calamari we ordered came out extremely cold and rubbery. The steak was lukewarm and the seafood fried rice was also warm not as hot as we would’ve liked.
We went as 2 couples. As always the bartenders, hostess, waitress, managers were all great! We loved most of the food. One appetizer wasn’t too good, but they didn’t charge us for it. We truly love this place and we will be back! I highly recommend it!
The evening began with a perfectly prepared cocktail at the bar followed by a delicious appetizer small plate of Bibb lettuce wraps. The surf and turf entrees where prepared precisely to our requests. Overall, our dining experience was exceptional!
We enjoyed our dining experience. The drinks were great and the food was delicious. It had a very NYC feel. This restaurant is different and special.
Monsoon is always a favorite of mine! The typhoon and starr roll are my favorite rolls. You can’t beat the Babylon express drink and skirt steak skewers.
The dining room is not nearly as attractive as the bar area. Drinks were weak, shrimp appetizer was good and plentiful. Miso black cod dish was meager for the price. My husband's Peking duck was a better value.
Glad we tried it once as the hype drew us out there.
The food and drinks were absolutely horrible. The sushi had such a fishy taste to it. We ordered appetizers and the food was very bland.
Drinks came out wrong. Bartender did not know how to make a lychee martini.
When we asked the manager and told him that our sushi was not good. Our server came back out and told us that she had tasted our food and agreed that the lobster was bad. I’ve never had this experience before having a sever admit to tasting the food we ordered.
Not professional at all. Sever looked sloppy.
Would not come back here at all
Always delicious but food comes out slow so if you’re starving be prepared. DJ went on at 10 which got a little loud
Over all a very pleasant experience. Food was good. Service was great. I little pricey but I felt it was worth it
We went for my Husband’s Birthday. From the drinks at the bar with the bartender Erick, the waitress Danielle the hostess and manger: everyone and everything was GREAT! Great atmosphere! The staff all made us feel welcome and cared for. The food was great too! We will be back!
I took my family(wife and two daughters) on a quiet Monday evening for dinner. The service was very good on this slow evening. The roll that featured a deep fried potato crust(Typhoon?) was overcooked and the shell was too hard to truly enjoy. The chicken fried rice that my daughter ordered was too salty and while my short rib entree was absolutely delicious, the filet mignon portion was small for the price(very tasty though).
We went to celebrate my birthday and had an incredible meal. The 21 day aged steak and roasted salmon were delicious, the Brussels sprouts may have actually been our favorite part, and we were blown away by the soft serve ice cream trio. Our server, Bobby, was wonderful.
The food was amazing, the service was great. Loved it!
Not bad to loud though
Great young crowd , night club atmosphere.
Peking duck was dry and fried ice was starchy.
Go for the bar scene.
Good atmosphere. Loud .food not as described on menu. My duck was chewy
The experience at Monsoon was fair but the food was not good. The food was not as tasty as expected and overpriced for the type of quality given. Would most likely not come back but the service and ambiance were nice.
Service was very attentive. Overall a good time and good food.
our dinning experience was very good from the dumplings to the Peking duck..The thing that we would like to say is that the duck would be better thinner cut . The seafood rice was good too. Our server Eric was very good and the manager Kayla came by to see that all was good.
Thank you
Weak drink selection for beer and sake. Unprofessional service for something pretending to be a high end restaurant . The food was bland especially for ‘pan asian’ . Would not return even if someone else was paying the bill. Adios
There were 8 of us there for my birthday. The food was excellent and the wait staff were helpful and apologetic . The problem was that the food did not come out of the kitchen. We had to wait for each course to come and were there for almost 3 hours.
Food and drinks were great and we had a very attentive waitress. The section we were placed was a bit noisy but not enough to be overly distracting.
The food and service at Monsoon are always excellent. Nice atmosphere and we never feel that we’re being rushed.
Monsoon is one of my favorite restaurants. I have never been disappointed. The atmosphere is elegant, but relaxing and the menu is outstanding. I've eaten there often and I've never had anything that was less than superb. The serving staff is fantastic - they never intrude, but they always seem to be there when you need them.
As usual, both the food and service were excellent. The only negative was the noise level.
The seating for diners is in a loud cafeteria like room with metal chairs and tables. Absolutely no decor! The lovely room shown on their website is for the bar only. It’s a shock to walk through this area and into the dining area. The noise level is very very loud. Servers walk back and forth through the middle of the dining room in an endless stream which makes noise level higher. On top of all of this, our appetizer took so very long to appear. After another hour we left the restaurant. Our main course was never served. Steak was our order. This is a steak and sushi place! Throughout the long wait we were not offered another drink or even an apology. Completely ruined our anniversary dinner.
Amazing !!!!
Half hour between courses.
Food was good but not worth the wait .
Over priced not worth $210 .
Never go back again.
Where to begin. Well the heat was apparently broken so they sat everyone in the same room which was ok However it was freezing in the place. I wish they would have let us know. My girlfriend was wearing a little black dress and was literally shivering and had to eat cold food with her winter jacket on. The wine tap apparently wasn’t working either they informed me after I ordered wine. They offered to open a bottle- gee thanks- but then charged me for that bottles glass price. The waitstaff was definitely hustling and working hard - I give them credit. However it was a waste of a night out going here. Very disappointed.
I have zero complaints. Everything was fantastic. My boyfriend and I were celebrating Valentine’s Day and they made us feel so special.
I called from Maryland to make reservations for my mother and her friend to celebrate her 70th Birthday. The staff went out of their way to make it special and accommodate me paying for the meal out of state. When you say awesome customer service you must be talking about Monsoon!!!
Some of the best sushi I’ve had in a while. Lychee martinis were amazing. And the red velvet/cheesecake ice cream was superb. Can’t recommend enough.
Food delicious, service was great. A bit loud in the area we sat, unfortunately very loud, rude diners came when we were halfway through our meal. The room was lovely and I have dined in there before but it’s close quarters and the people were quite drunk and obnoxious!
Over priced, presentation was sloppy, sauces everywhere and to sweet. The sushi was room temp and when i didnt eat it no one asked why. Servers took to long to check so my guest was done before they came over anyway. Left hungry and def not happy.
Had a reservation for 7pm on a Friday night and was seated right away. The food and service was great. The price is a little high. I will come back.
Expensive, but good food and service. Nice variety of options. Shared menu items, so need similar tastes.
We were greeted by a very nice and professional hostess, I thought the night was going to be fun. Then we were brought into the room and seated at a table that was clearly going to be uncomfortable so we asked for one of the other many open tables that were available. Right away I got a bad vibe.
The room was lit up like a diner. Didn’t care to eat like that during a late night intimate dinner with friends. It seemed sloppy and not appetizing. The carpets looked old and worn. Our meals were fine, we were all quite happy with our selections, but I truly love to have dinner in a place with ambience. It makes your dish and your cocktails seem friendly and age appropriate. We had loud me cursing behind us and we all seemed stuffed into this very bright, uncomfortable room, although there were a enough tables that were empty.. The restaurant isn’t very old but already looks shabby. I only went once before, when they first opened and vowed I would never return, but my girlfriend insisted we try again. Won’t be talked into that place again.
To end with, our friends and I were having a well, over due conversation about all that had gone on since Christmas. We were rudely interrupted to hand over the soy sauce and other bottles of sauces on the table because they made it quite clear it was time for us to leave. I apologize to the staff for having them wait for us and a few other tables not leaving as quickly as they had hoped. I wish management would check on that place once in a while because it is nearby.
