Monsoon: Steak & Sushi Ratings and Reviews
I've been here before and always enjoyed it, but this time I went on a Sunday night ! The Surf & Turf special was a great value on Sunday's. And since it was the 5th Anniversary celebration? We received a gift card for half the amount we spent! I also love the specialty cocktails! Especially the Ficollini & another great deal since it was happy hour!
We've been here before on a weekend when it's hopping. Being here on a Wednesday evening was quiet and quite enjoyable. Bottle of wine was half price and the Peking duck was excellent as was the fried calamari and brussel sprouts. We ordered for two but could have eaten for 3 or 4 so it came home with us for some delicious leftovers. The bonus for being there on their fifth anniversary...a discount card for our next visit. We had a discount card for this meal which they used toward our evening bill. Dinner was a great value and quite delicious. We'll be back
Nice ambience with a NYC vibe. The Sunday special pricing of selected main courses was unbeatable for the quality and portion of the food served. Otherwise, they may appear to be a little on the pricy side. The drinks were good. Our server was very nice and knowledgeable.
We will return.
Went for Mother's Day with kids. Ambiance is nice. Second time eating here. Sushi was good. However the other meals on the brunch weren't special at all. Had chicken and waffles --this is no Roscoes Chicken and Waffles nothing special, chicken wasn't flavorful. $35 Daughter had a meal with eggs in it , Eggs were bland The drinks were fine. in my mind I wish it was a Tao Downtown. Beautiful place though!!
I went there with my friends during the week for restaurant week and we enjoyed it so much that I brought my husband and son back there Sunday night. The set menu with the wine pairing was very good and I would recommend it to anybody who wants to try a new restaurant or new cuisines. It's a little pricey, but it was worth it.
Atmosphere and music great. Korean Chicken outstanding. Nice presentation for my daughter's 30th birthday. They gave her a gift and had her ring the GONG which was fun! Peking duck good, but not as good as NYC and came out barely warm... Housin Sauce was thick and not authentic tasting. Fried rice was cold. French fries were cold, as was eggplant side dish. Desserts fantastic. Waiter showed no sense of urgency when I told him that 3 of my guests had to make a 9PM train to Manhattan. They missed the train. Served food family style, however did not provide serving spoons!
We ordered from the fixed price menu; an appetizer, entree and dessert for under $30 is a great value, as is the wine flight that accompanied it for another $10, otherwise this restaurant is pricey. We had one pre-dinner cocktail each and that really brought the bill up. The food was very good, except for the chicken choice.
The one problem we had was when one in our party knocked over his water glass; the waiter left us to clean it up on our own.
Looking for a contemporary restaurant with a varied menu for the sushi lover to meat lover? This is the place. The food was freshly prepared. Nick, our server, was polite and checked in on us often. The atmosphere is stylish and contemporary. Nice bar and lounge area. Great place for a group or couple.
