Monsoon: Steak & Sushi Ratings and Reviews
Beautiful restaurant, classic bar. Seating was comfortable without feeling cramped or having the the next table sitting on top of you.
The food was superb. The duck was excellent, the sushi as well. The appetizer was both plentiful and tasty.
All in all (that was four of us) put this establishment on the GO BACK list!
Very pricey!! You don’t get much food for the price. The place is just for the ambiance. Service wasn’t the greatest. Waitress took our drink and food order and didn’t come back to see if we needed anything else. Came back towards the end to see if we wanted dessert. We would have probably brought a few more drinks but since she didn’t come to check on us we didn’t.
Not a first time diner, and will most likely come again. However, the acoustics are horrible so unfortunately the more people drink the louder they become. Difficult not to be distracted & focus on your own conversation. I would definitely find a way to implement a 'suggestion' to large groups from the servers as they are seated...letting them know the noise level can get crazy due to the low ceilings(back area obviously)& to please be considerate of guests around them. There is always a graceful way to say anything where no one wld take offense!!
Ok so we go restaurant week-the last night $29.00 (roughly) for 3 course meal-EXCEPT in tiny print $8.00 uncharge on crab cake happy and $8.00 uncharge on skirt steak.
why bother including these on "special" for rest. week w, when that's not special at all.
steak came out barely warm for two of us.
really let down by this visit!
The best meal we have had in a very long time! The food, service, and atmosphere were amazing!! We have some gluten allergic people in our family, so we really appreciate that there is a separate gluten- free menu. We look forward to coming back soon and often!!!
What a Great place to celebrate a Birthday, had a fantastic time celebrating my wife’s birthday! The food and drinks were unbelievable and the dessert was delightful, finishing the night off by hitting the Big Brass Gong was my wife’s favorite part. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening!
I brought my father to Monsoon for his 65th birthday dinner and he absolutely loved it. We wanted to try something different, and this was just the place for that! All 4 of us were very satisfied with our meals and the service provided by our server, Gabby. Highly recommend! Thank you Monsoon
The food was very good and it was made even better by the outstanding and friendly service by the staff. Our waiter Nick was knowledgeable, friendly, efficient, and more than accommodated special requests. The hostess was very friendly and patiently escorted my two elderly in-laws to the back elevators so they could reach the second floor dining area. She was very patient - they walk very slowly - and didn't press them at all. Altogether an excellent meal and experience.
Comfortable table and pretty quick service. Just got the Monsoon Chicken for 2 of us. Chicken tasted really good, but didn't realize the only rice was going to be soaked in Monsoon sauce (like General Tso chicken sauce) so we got an order of Jasmine Rice on the side. Good experience and good food. One dish is usually sufficient for 2.
We had the Surf n Turf Sunday special ($25) sliced filet mignon with seared tuna with a bed of spinach. Side of Seafood fried rice ($16) was plentiful but really nothing special...try something else for less $$. Edamame appetizer good. Fried oreo dessert was delicious-4 lightly battered and fried oreos with powedered sugar...
Interior modern, black in color, nice bar, upper level w/stairs on both sides-dining tables in back of restaurant..
Would definitely return to try another of the 3 S & T Sunday specials before it ends...
Excellent service by waiter Joey..
This was our second visit and we thoroghly enjoyed every appetizer and entree. The staff in friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is inviting and speciaous. The sushi rolls are wonderful and I would especially recommend the Cowboy roll which is expensive, but worth it. Definitely worth the drive if you don't live near Babylon!
