Had a great time celebrating birthday for a friend
A great night out for my wife and I. Very good service, everything we ate was delicious, and we are excited for our next visit. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great meal.
We came tonight for our anniversary as we do most years. Monocacy Crossing has never disappointed us.
The food is fantastic. I ordered the sea bass special and my date ordered the filet special. Both were delicious. We were there early on a Friday night so it wasn't crowded/loud yet.
I’ve had a coworker rave about this place and on Sunday my wife and I tried it. The food was very good and the service was on point. A little pricey but we’re going again before we relocate to another area
We had a great dinner here with a another couple. Everyone was very satisfied with the restaurant - from drinks to appetizers to entree to dessert. Service was great.
We will definitely be back!
Always enjoy are meals and the friendly service
What a great experience! We've been to Monocacy Crossing many times to meet up with friends for a good meal. This weekend we came on a beautiful day to enjoy the outdoor patio area. The restaurant was very busy but nevertheless service was very good and the food was exceptional. Our meals included a lamb shank special with beets and gnocchi, shrimp and scallops over tagliatelle pasta, and another special - veal and pork bolognese also over tagliatelle pasta. All were beautifully prepared. Interestingly, several dishes came with the option of 1/2 portions so I paired a half portion of the bolognese with a grilled romaine salad. Just perfect. For dessert we shared a chocolate bread pudding and the restaurant's very special coconut pound cake. All in all a magical evening!
I brought in a small cake for my boyfriends birthday and forgot candles. Our server put some in without me having to ask. Service and food is wonderful here
You must have the crispy deviled eggs. They are amazing.
Always amazing service and food. One of my guests ordered a special order meal that came off of the dinner menu even though we ate at lunch
Great service and just as good food. A great experience...
We have never had a bad meal at Monocacy Crossing. The staff is friendly and funny without being intrusive, the decor is a bit old fashioned but in a comforting way. Wines are delicious without being overpriced. And the best part is the food - always tasty! This particular night I had lamb that had been slow roasted and was falling off the bone. Delicious! The smashed red potatoes were crazy good as was the kale. You can't go wrong here. We've had fish, chicken, salads - all wonderfully prepared. And I dare you to walk out without eating a piece of their signature coconut pound cake!
good food - great service - nice quiet table - really enjoyed the pork temderloin
This is a great restaurant. We did have one table if people nearby, who were very loud and disruptive. I think the manager should have spoken to them, because it did affect those around them.
Overall , a good experience with great food
Food and service was great as always!
The service was excellent..food fantastic, treat you like family..My go to restaurant for lunch, dinner,a drink with appetizers on the patio...Try it..you will like it. Thanks Kelly H,Rosa,And Chef Rob..
The food is always amazing and the service spectacular
Overall fantastic experience. Impeccable service, food was absolutely delicious. Love the ricotta fingers!
Three of us had dinner on a Saturday evening. The wait staff was pleasant and accommodating. The cocktails were very good. Had a few special cocktails for St. Patricks Day. The food came to our table hot and at the same time. It was delicious as well. We enjoyed the quaint atmosphere and look forward to eating outside when weather permits. Good value for the money.
I’ve been there 3 times this week. So. Freaking good. Love the Cobb salad and add shrimp to it. The servers know me by name. 😳 shows how much I go there.
Great food and great service! It was a perfect lunch, except that they sat us next to an exit door and it was extremely cold.
Wait staff was very good, enjoyed our meal and had a very good time with our friends. Would definitely come again.
They have a small, but unique dinner selection. My husband enjoyed his dish. I had the crab dip, which was horrible. More disappointing than the food was the service. Our waitress was impatient and rude. We definitely will not be going back.
We drive 25 miles to eat MC’s food, it’s always fresh, imaginatively prepared, and delicious to eat! The menu is diverse enough to please many. Tonight our party of four enjoyed the potato/ham soup special (delicious), the Caesar salad (one without and one with chicken, each good), calamari (dipping sauce was salty, calamari perfect), the pork chop special, the grilled salmon with lo Mein noodles (amazing), and the crab dip. The restaurant’s pound cake dessert was shared by 4.
Ignore the worn interior, dated wall hangings and sagging ceiling panels. Go for the great food, and good service; the food is fantastic, the waitstaff amiable and attentive.
We went to Monocacy Crossing for a birthday dinner. To begin with, everyone was super friendly, and we felt they really cared that we were there. We started with the hush puppies - absolutely to die for. The children with us didn't have time to get bored before the food came. Everyone's meal was delicious - beef medallions, steak, lamb shank, chicken breast, special of cioppino. I particularly liked the half portion of shrimp and scallops with pasta, which was the perfect size. The coconut cake for dessert was excellent, and the birthday boy was given a special treat too. I highly recommend this restaurant.
We live in Rockville, MD and have been coming to Monocacy Crossing for over 10 years. Delicious Farm to Table food, great service and relaxing environment no matter what time of year. Five stars plus.
We have been there several times and have yet to have a bad meal. The appetizer scallops are excellent.
As always great food. A creative menu well executed. Wait staff were helpful but not intrusive.
Overall a wonderful restaurant.
Excellent as always!
I have been dining at Monocacy Crossing for years. It is never a disappointment. The food is delicious, the service is great and it is also a good value.
We had a great time and the food was well prepared and very good. We had four different dishes and each one was excellent.
Meet our expectations very pleased. Will return and will use opentable again. Thank you
I've been coming here for over 20 years. The quality is always amazing. The chef is fantastic and the wait and bar staff are so friendly and genuine they are wonderful. Also let me tell you they know how to make a drink and how to pour one. The wine list is excellent and extensive but the house by the glass wines are wonderful too.
It is cozy and relaxing quality has increased not diminished over the last 20 years. a hidden gem!
this was our 3rd time at this restaurant and we have never ordered anything we didn't like.
The bartender, Fernando , on a Friday night really adds to this overall experience. He is very welcoming and works the bar as if he is the owner. Too bad that he is not the owner, as he is a natural and is very in tune to the customer base. The overall ambience is rather lacking in the dining rooms and really needs to be updated with perhaps better lighting and some greenery. The patio in the Spring is great but the chairs need to be updated. The wait staff in the dining areas is just adequate and lacks energy. These aspects are overlooked as the food is excellent and the drinks from the bar stellar. We go for these reasons and are hopeful that the owners will invest more energy going forward to attract the next generations wanting more whole foods, fresh vegetables, whole grain breads and wait staff who smile and are welcoming.
Monocacy Crossing is a hidden gem in a remote historic setting. Interesting, innovative menu with something great for everyone. Terrific ambiance and people. Love the multi room setup - allows privacy for those at dining tables and lets folks at the bar laugh and play without interfering with diners.
We were there for a special date and loved the service (Katie and Cathy), the wine list, the menu options.
However the 2 appetizers we ordered (crispy calamari and duck nachos) were so huge that we couldn’t eat an entree. Would have been great for 4 diners but not just for the 2 of us.
I’ve been to MC before and have always loved it. Will go there again and again for sure. Just bring a few more diners and order sparingly. We have to return for the shrimp & andouille dish we never got to!
Not fancy on outside but dining area is quaint, food was good, and service was very good. Good value for lunch. Good spot for business lunch meeting.
One of best meals I’ve had in long time
Never dissapointed...always the best. Bar is wonderful quite atmosphere
