good food, excellent service, a little chilly....always good, never disappoints
Food is always decent here but nothing great about it. It was also SUPER loud on Saturday to the point of not even being able to have much of a conversation with my wife. Not really ideal for a quiet night out. I’m sure we will be back, but I’m never blown away by an experience here.
We had a delicious meal for our anniversary. The waitress was very pleasant- didn’t come by too often-just the right amount so we felt our needs were met but we could enjoy ourselves. Delightful evening! Will dine here again
We love Monocacy Crossing! Always a great meal and great service. Thank you!
My wife and I really enjoyed the food and atmosphere to celebrate her birthday!
The food and service is always outstanding!!!
First time dining at Monocacy Crossing (1/14/22). The food was excellent. I had the salmon and my partner had the beef medallions. Maybe the best of each we’ve had and we’ve dined out a lot. The buffalo cauliflower was also fantastic. One thing we commented was how well everything was timed and the food was hot! Lately when dining out food is never nice and hot, but it is here. Definitely recommend.
The food was amazing! The space was warm and welcoming. The staff were on point. A perfect night out!
I just love this place. Food is great and the drinks are not small and skimpy. I recommend this location to anyone looking for a nice and not over the top location.
Each time I go is the same fantastic experience! The food was so good! I ate every bite, including dessert and I’m not a big dessert person. We split the scallops appetizer— very delicate and delicious. I had the Rockfish for an entree. It was amazing! And the butter pecan cheesecake was delectable! Service was superb. All super staff and teamwork was obvious. Prices were very reasonable as well.
Another excellent meal and wonderful service.
thank you MC!!
The food was great as usual, and the service was amazing. We enjoyed our meal very much.
By far my favorite spot! Always so welcoming and the food is out of this world!!! Highly recommend
Our experience was nothing short of fantastic. The food, the service was outstanding. Everything about our night was great. Would highly recommend. The food and desserts were prepared very well and tasted so good. My wife and I loved and will be returning.
Place is great!
First time dining at Monocacy Crossing. Nice little restaurant with a great menu. Celebrated husband's birthday with dinner. Look forward to dining again. More of a date night or special occasion place for us.
First time dining here. Dress code said business casual yet hostess was wearing a hoodie. Tables were too close together for COVID. The table of 4 next to us was extremely loud. We could hear their entire conversation. Food was just OK. Service was good. Will not go back.
We’ve been going to Monocacy Crossing for years - always great food, good service, and great owners and employees.
Really enjoyed it. We’ll be back.
I always love my meal here. Amount is great and many times I can take a little home for the next day. Price is good and service is very kind and friendly. If you like adult cocktails, I have found them to not be skimpy! I highly recommend this location.
Excellent food and excellent service!
Always the best food and service! Perfect way to start the new year!
The food and service were great on a very busy New Year's Eve.
Great food, great service!
I checked table availability on my way to restaurant and there were multiple options available from 7pm-7:30pm. I lost service on the way there so we walked in (around 7pm) and asked for a table. We were told by who I later found out is the manager that there were no inside tables but I could sit at the bar. So I asked when the next available reservation would be. I was told 8:30. They close at 9pm. I couldn't figure out why she said that unless there was an error in the system. So I left, went to an area with service and booked a reservation for 7:15pm for an inside table. I walked in, spoke to 2 different staff members and we were seated immediately and received fabulous service. (Not by the "manager") She seemingly intentionally ignored us. After dinner, I approached her and asked if it was intentional or coincidence and she said the kitchen was backed up. But wouldnt that affect the bar tables also? So I am only left with 2 reasons this happened. I dressed pretty casually. (Flannel, vest, boots) BUT I checked the dress code before arriving and I noticed several people with similar attire. Or it's because I was the only black patron in sight. Either way, that part of the experience was confusing and seemed to be individual to this manager. The rest of the experience was absolutely perfect.
The food and the service were great. Nice ambience. I highly recommend this restaurant
A great hidden gem near Frederick. Outdoor dining on the patio for us on a nice but slightly chilly day; the restaurant's heaters were helpful. This is our second visit for Sunday brunch, and it hasn't disappointed. A very nice menu and excellent food preparation with super helpful wait staff. We will be back, for sure!
Petit filet was rather tough. Wife's fried oysters were over breaded and stale, not fresh. Definitely not worth what they charged, and not what we were used to in terms of food quality.
Excellent spiced cranberry cosmo. Very festive feel which was great since it was Christmas Eve Eve. Had the deviled eggs which are always spectacular. Tried the new burger. A delightful and tasty mess. It was absolutely delicious. Service was attentive and personable. Love this place❤️
Our waiter Matthew was the BEST!
Duck nachos and mussels were awesome!! Meal and drinks, fantastic!
Can’t wait to go back!!
This was an evening with 3couples getting together for a Christmas dinner together. We all had salads to start. The wedge salad won the best salad. Salmon, airline chicken and the pork main dishes were chosen and all thought the food was delicious. We saved room for dessert. My favorite was the coconut pound cake. But others loved the crème brûlée, chocolate pie and the apple cake. The waitress was exceptional and very nice. We were given one wrapped surprise box at the end of dinner. We will go back and enjoy another meal and when we open the box we be excited to see what we won! Thanks for a great evening! Happy holidays!
The food was absolutely outstanding!! The pork tenderloin with sage and cider was delicious!! The shrimp and grits, crisy pork chop and scalloped potatoes were also raved about. We sat in the bar which had zero ambiance. The lights were too bright, it was cold...just nothing appealing about the environment. The service however, was outstanding.
I consistently good restaurant. It has become one of my favorite since moving to Maryland. You can’t beat those deviled eggs!
Food was amazing. Cinnamon buns were huge and really delicious...could have shared that with 8 people easily! Really fun and creative brunch menu.
Monocacy Crossing is a quaint restaurant with friendly ambience and very good food. The server was knowledgeable, friendly, and personable. My entrée, the crispy pork chop, was extremely tender and tasty. The only negative was the entrée my sister-in-law ordered, Caesar salad with salmon. The romaine gave the appearance of being wilted, and unlike any Caesar salad I've ever seen, the salad contained no croutons. The salmon, I was told, was, however, delicious. All in all. our experience at Monocacy Crossing was very good!
Had a delightful surprise visiting this place the first time. The ambiance was cozy, relaxed and comfortable. The food was very tasty and generously portioned with a very modest price tag to it. Had tuna bites(A), crunchy burrata (A), Mushroom crepes with added sirlion (A+), cauliflower (A+) and cheesecake (A++), wonderful bottle of Riesling ($10 off Thursday special!) and a "surprise gift" encouraging us to visit soon. So we ARE encouraged in deed to return ASAP. Thanks to the whole teem and particularly our waiter Matthey for a great experience we had.
Always a good time at Monocacy!! My favorite "go-to"
Usually absolute love this restaurant and it was really good this time, but a few comments. First the Buttermilk Chicken Tenders with Tasso Gravy was removed from the menu. This was one of a most favored dishes. Second the salad we ordered was just kinda bland. Otherwise is was once again a great meal.
Best place in town. No doubt.
Excellent neighborhood gem, never had a bad meal here.
