Monocacy Crossing

This was our first experience at Monocacy Crossing. The food was amazing! Delicious homemade bread, my entree was completely perfect - ricotta gnocchi with sweet potatoes and crispy kale with mustard crusted salmon which the server suggested I add. There were so many great options on the menu so we will be back.

The ambiance was nice but not great. The tables were close together so we could hear our neighbor’s discussions unfortunately. The servers were great though. Attentive but not over bearing.

A longtime staple of Frederick and always consistent. Service and food met expectations as the staff was very courteous and special dietary requests were accommodated. The establishment has a very small lounge area and the restaurant as a whole is in dire need of updating from which I understand is supposed to happen this Spring. the rockfish special they had was very tasty and cooked to perfection. I also recommend the veal and pork bolognese.

Great fine dining restaurant. The place for special occasions when you're willing to spend a lot more than you normally would. Most entrees exceed $25.

Best restaurant in Maryland, I travel and have visited many many restaurants throughout the state, if you want the best go here!

Valentine’s Day dinner was very nice here, food was delicious and atmosphere relaxing.

Food was excellent. Steaks very tender. Portions are large so be prepared to take some home. Ambiance is pretty plain, but quality of food more than makes up for it.

This is the go to spot for my wife and I, it's about five miles from our home and we go every chance we get. The food is always good and they make small changes to the menu from time to time. The price is a lot better than some of the larger places.

Enjoyed another dining experience at Monocacy Crossing. Food is always wonderful and service is attentive, but not invasive. The coconut pound cake is a perfect ending to a special meal! Monocacy Crossing is a gem!

We enjoy our Sunday Brunch very much. Came with our children and grandchildren and everyone enjoyed the food, service and ambiance! We will be back!!

Our lively and sociable group had a great time at the restaurant, food was delish, server was attentive and accommodating. Three of the couples had not eaten at Monocacy Crossing before and they were impressed. More importantly, we had great fellowship time and didn't even realize that we had been there for 3 1/2 hours! Kudos to the staff for making it a memorable event for us.

Consistently excellent food, service, and drinks. A nicely varied menu which can accommodate a variety of tastes. The spicy margarita special was the best of many that I’ve tried and favorites such as the popcorn shrimp, pork tenderloin in sage cider sauce and the coconut pound cake always deliver!

Absolutely amazing food! Duck nachos were very tastey. Both steaks were cooked to exact specifications. Coconut cake was the best dessert I have had.

We drive 45 min once a month to eat their, awesome food great price. We would go their more often if we lived closer. cant wait to go back thank for a wonderful night.

We got seated right away, the waitress told us about the specials then asked if we were ready to order, we hadn’t gotten menus yet. She asked if we wanted bread we said yes it never came until we asked a different waitress for it same for our drinks. My fiancé ordered the salmon which was fine, I ordered the Strip steak which looked good but was not easy to cut and harder to chew, such a disappointment. The scallop potatoes were oily, just a sad experience overall. We canceled our Valentines reservation.

Been to Monocacy Crossing many times and it never disappoints! They’ve added some new items to the menu (the pork and veal Bolognese over pasta was outstanding!) and they all look so good. Excellent service as well!

service was great. We felt taken care of during our entire meal. Dishes were excellent and the apple crumble with home made vanilla ice cream was delicious. Highly recommend for a date night or casual dining.

Four of us drove 1 1/2 hrs. to get there. It was worth the trip - will definitely go back. Not impressive from the road but the food was outstanding. Appetizers were awesome. The crispy deviled eggs and popcorn schrimp (big schrimp) were unique and delicious. The soup of the day - taco? was wonderful. The entrees also wonderful: beef medalions tasty and cooked perfectly and the schrimp not what we expected but unique and delicious. All four of us agreed to return. We all enjoyed our meals so much - it will be difficult to order different selections next time.

I’m a regular here The food is always good, the service friendly and the pricing is fair On this reservations I got the lamb shank...can’t say enough good things. One of my favorites I didn’t get this time but generally so are the mussels I have not found anyone anywhere even on the eastern shore that does them better add their delicious bread and you have a WINNER ! Highly recommend

Food and service were both exceptional!

Food- Great! First brunch experience, and it was just as impressive as dinner.

Service- Waited almost 10 minutes before the server arrived (not impatient customer time, real time on my watch). Server we had seemed to have a lot going on.

End of meal, check paid- CC slips just set on table in front of me to distribute, not even a “Thank you!” (Which she said in passing as we were gathering our items and leaving)

I have been here numerous times before, first uncomfortable service I’ve had. I’m hoping it was a one time thing.

We have eaten here twice now and loved it both times. They have great specials and wonderful fried deviled eggs! I always have the fish which has been prepared fabulously, but my husband is a beef eater and he claims it is not tender, and he's an expert at beef cuts. That's our only complaint.

We've been here before and it's always a pleasant experience. A nice quiet New Year's Eve dinner. Good service, great food, nice variety.

The food was delicious and the service exceptional. We have eaten here several times over the years and this restaurant has never failed to please.

My wife and I have been there a number of times for lunch and dinner, and we finally had the chance to bring the whole family. The service, food and atmosphere were all fantastic. I recommend this wonderful restaurant to any and everyone. We have never had anything less than a great meal there.
