We love sitting on the patio! This past Wednesday, we had the lovely Alexa as our server.
Even though my husband doesn't like mushrooms, he ordered the Burger and Brew.
I wasn't in the mood for a burger so I got my usual, the Scallops in in bacon vinaigrette. Always wonderful. The sweet heat hushpuppies were good, too. And I got his mushrooms!
Alexa suggested I get the mashed potatoes so I did. Since they weren't all that hot, I was going to take them home when Alexa said she would bring some hot potatoes out, which was very nice. I ate them all!

It was our anniversary and everything was great. I ordered a steak and my wife ordered Shrimp and scallops. My steak was cooked to perfection in the manner I requested. My spouses shrimp and scallops were also delicious. Our order including an appetizer was served when we were ready and our server came by multiple times to make sure everything was okay. We left very happy.

Most tender flank steak ever, achieved with a very tasty marinade, and served with lovely tomato and arugula salad and super crispy, super thin shoestring potatoes. All four of us thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. We have dined here many times and have never had anything less than a delicious meal.
Covid safety measures are observed with patio tables very widely spaced. There is not much good weather left for outdoor dining so GO SOON. The diningrooms are spacious so social distancing is certainly possible. The Regans will no doubt continue to do their best to keep their clients and staff Covid-safe. The food and service are almost worth the indoor-dining risk.

We have been coming to this restaurant for a few years. They never disappoint us with the food or drink choices and their quality. Lemon drop martini and devil eggs are my favorite.

This was our first time at Monocacy Crossing and it was great! The filet with blue cheese mousse was amazing. The salmon was also very very good. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area. We love top of the line food and this place has it together! We will be back again soon!

The place is much bigger on the inside than it appears from the outside. The food was great (crispy deviled eggs "unbelievable"), sweet heat hushpuppies, our entrees were delicious as well. Of course, don't forget the drinks, try the Sangria "wow"! Last but not least, the service: I can't recall his name, but he made some great recommendations and was very knowledgeable of the menu items. We will definitely be returning!

I took my friend since she had never been and she was very impressed and can't wait to go again. We both had the crispy fried deviled eggs, which are phenomenal followed by dessert of their delicious, home made coconut pound cake! It was awesome.

Highly recommend the Shrimp and Grits with Tomato Gravy! It was delicious and enough for two meals — generous portions. Our neighbors loved the beef medallions and fried chicken. Oh — and we started our meal with Deviled Eggs with Crab — beyond amazing. We can’t wait to come back. Service as always was excellent and patio seating perfect.

our server, while efficient was not very friendly. Also, she kept reaching in front of my face to attend to my husband who was to my right. Awkward when it came to refills on our sodas. three of our party had soda, and our server wasn't getting us fresh drinks. I had to ask her if there was a charge for refills and she said you can have one refill. this policy should be clear as it was uncomfortable to have to figure this out.

The food and service are always excellent. I prefer the patio dining as the inside has a bit of an elderly vibe, but it’s one of of favorites. Highly recommended. Our waitress, Candace was superb.

The server, while very nice, was not at all knowledgeable. When our friend asked what is polenta, she advised it was root vegetable, and we had to correct her, the gentlemen asked what kind of bourbon is used for an old fashioned, she didn’t know and we didn’t expect her to but she returned with the ingredients of the old fashioned... only to be sent back to inquire about what bourbon again. She didn’t know the tap beers. It was just not a great showing. The cocktails overall were lacking.
As for the food, it was ok. We have eaten there before and been blown away, not this time. No crab cakes, which was highly disappointing, the crab dip was just not good, my husband’s filet was undercooked. The hush puppies were tasty but the glob of almost frozen maple butter on top took away from them. Our friend did discover that the monkfish with the lemon sauce on polenta was quite nice.... currently limiting our outings to once month for a nice meal, we unfortunately will not return.

In the past year monocacy crossing has gone downhill. it took over 20 minutes for a person to come to our table to even take our drink order. The drink order was wrong. The food order was wrong. And the table behind us was loud and raucous and swearing. I am flabbergasted that no one asked them to pipe down and to stop swearing. I was there with my 87 year old mother and this was beyond comprehensible behavior by a bunch of 30-somethings.
But the worst is that nobody from the restaurant asked them to be quiet.

They accommodated our two young boys well. The server was not well versed in wine service and the bottle of wine they brought didn’t match the vintage on the menu. The food was very good. Overall, we’d go back again.

We try to drive out here a few times a year and always have a wonderful dining experience. This is one of the first restaurants we tried Post-Covid and were very satisfied with the restaurant’s strict observance of social distancing, masks, etc. We went for my birthday and decided to visit again two weeks later for our anniversary. We requested to be in Cheryls section as she is a favorite of ours, so easily friendly and professional as only a seasoned waitperson can be. Both occasions I tried the fish special: seared salmon one night and seared tuna the next. Both were excellent with creative and complementary sides and flavors. The quality of the fish was outstanding. Generous portions so needed a box for me because you have to leave room for dessert here! My husband said the shrimp and grits were superior to the dish in one of our favorite southern restaurants! This is a delightful out of the way gem!
