The Monk’s Kettle is a neighborhood tavern in San Francisco’s Mission District offering upscale pub fare and a broad and balanced craft beer list.

A place where all are welcome, where the mission is simply to create a place people want to be.

Named the Best Beer Bar in California. Named one of the best Burgers and Fried Chicken Sandwiches in the region.

Monks Kettle is moving to Rockridge in Oakland later this summer. Our last day of service in San Francisco is Sunday June 30. We hope to reopen in Rockridge around September.

We booked a table but decided it would be fun to sit at the bar. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. We shared ahi tuna burger and fries, but the fries were a little cold. Wish they had a full bar. That being said, we loved the energy and staff.

We really enjoyed Monk's Kettle. I would describe it as elevated bar food. Vibe is good and service was attentive. My only complaint is the booth seats are pretty uncomfortable! Get chairs if you can. I would gladly go back.

The food here was not great. The restaurant was so cold we could see our breath, and the service was slow and mediocre for a half full restaurant.

Ate on a Thursday lunchtime. Fantastic place. Food was great. Drink was really great. We were a family of five with three kids and the service was exceptional from a lovely guy who made us fell very welcome. Nice space
