Monkeypod Kitchen - Ko Olina Ratings and Reviews
3rd dining this stay. Always a favorite choice. Prices are reasonable
food. Always consistent
Tried my 1st Mai Tai. Fabulous. Where have I been
Pizza always a good choice
But anything on menus is fresh and well prepared
pumpkin Ravioli is one of my favs also
Went for happy hour, great table by window listening to wonderful live music and had an attentive waitstaff that keeps coming around to push drinks. Really disappointed with the food...crust on pizza was really soft, should be a little crispier. Not worth $19 regular price. The garlic fries again was pale colored, soggy and limp, how can any restaurant mess that up? My husband ordered the fish and chips, 3 small pcs with same limpy fries, definitely not worth $24.
Food was much better a couple of years ago................
My wife had the Fresh Gnocchi with Pork Sausage but some of the gnocchi was under cooked and mushy. She ended up eating it all except one piece because the server never returned to the table until it was bill time. A manager did end up stopping by and offered her a dessert but she is not a dessert eater. He said he would advise the kitchen and thanked us for coming in.
I think an invitation to return and try the gnocchi on his dime would have been more appropriate than a dessert.
The Monkeypod pleases us twice, once for lunch, once for dinner. Both visits were accompanied with very pleasant live music and were enhanced by terrific servers, Quinn for lunch and Tom at dinner. The four of us were all pleased with our food. We went for the mai-tais, which are fabulous. (Did they steal the recipe from Gannon's or vice versa? I'd love to have a side-by-side comparison). The upcountry special was one of the best tasting steaks I’ve ever had while my companions raved over their fish choices. For dinner, inside was pretty loud so we were fortunate to find seating on the terrace. I highly recommend Monkeypod and look forward to returning on our next visit to Maui.
My guests were leaving EARLY the next morning so we came at Happy Hour. The lobster deviled eggs, an appetizer we order regularly were the best EVER. All in all, food was great, server helpful and we never felt rushed or hurried. The weather cooperated. All and all, a terrific MPK "event".
Had family of 4 with us for lunch. The kids were able to order from the Keiki menu and were satisfied with their meals. Booth/table area where we sat could have been cleaner at start but the kids were messy as well. Server was gracious and very helpful with menu choices.
Great place to dine with outstanding service. Food and drinks were well above average.
My wife had the Monkeypod maintai and it was terrific...She had a specialty pizza and the mahi-mahi......we shared a macadamian Nut creamed pie that was awesome..
Noah was our server and very, very good!
Food was marginal at best and way over priced for the portions. Drinks were very expensive as well ordered 2 drinks came to 28.00 and they were about 4 ounces each. We stayed at a resort close by and there wasn't a lot of different options to walk to so we gave it a try. Save your money nothing spectacular.
