Monkeypod Kitchen by Merriman is a place where foodies, beer lovers, and families escape the stresses of their day to day lives by enjoying an ice cold beer and a great meal while surrounded by people who consider them honored guests and friends.

Our restaurants are founded upon a passion for craft and we are dedicated to mastering the craft of food, drink, and merrymaking…with Aloha! Our menu features fresh island fish, hand tossed pizzas from our kiawe wood burning oven, and homemade pies made from scratch.

Thirty-six craft beers served at twenty-nine degrees are on tap, representing the coldest beer and best selection of microbrews on the island. Our culinary cocktails feature unique ingredients such as acai spirit, coconut water, and Kula lavender. Our passion for craft also extends to our diverse wine list, which emphasizes sustainability, drinkability and fun.

My wife and I had the lobster seafood medley for our anniversary dinner. $50. each. Noodles were all stuck together, mixed with tomato paste, and the lobster was about 3 inches long and cooked as tough as a piece of rope. Will not come back

I arrived late from traffic and they were very accommodating still, and had the table ready within 5-10 even though it was packed for Valentine’s Day. The server was awesome as well!

Went for happy hour, great table by window listening to wonderful live music and had an attentive waitstaff that keeps coming around to push drinks. Really disappointed with the food...crust on pizza was really soft, should be a little crispier. Not worth $19 regular price. The garlic fries again was pale colored, soggy and limp, how can any restaurant mess that up? My husband ordered the fish and chips, 3 small pcs with same limpy fries, definitely not worth $24.
Food was much better a couple of years ago................

My wife had the Fresh Gnocchi with Pork Sausage but some of the gnocchi was under cooked and mushy. She ended up eating it all except one piece because the server never returned to the table until it was bill time. A manager did end up stopping by and offered her a dessert but she is not a dessert eater. He said he would advise the kitchen and thanked us for coming in.

I think an invitation to return and try the gnocchi on his dime would have been more appropriate than a dessert.

Lovely spot for lunch or dinner. Sitting outdoors on a patio surrounded by greenery is my idea of a good time! Excellent drinks and nice brunch choices.

The Monkeypod pleases us twice, once for lunch, once for dinner. Both visits were accompanied with very pleasant live music and were enhanced by terrific servers, Quinn for lunch and Tom at dinner. The four of us were all pleased with our food. We went for the mai-tais, which are fabulous. (Did they steal the recipe from Gannon's or vice versa? I'd love to have a side-by-side comparison). The upcountry special was one of the best tasting steaks I’ve ever had while my companions raved over their fish choices. For dinner, inside was pretty loud so we were fortunate to find seating on the terrace. I highly recommend Monkeypod and look forward to returning on our next visit to Maui.

Sat upstairs by the railing which was very pleasant. Too close to the music when it started. Too loud to hear each other. Food was so fresh. Beer was so cold. All good.
