Monkeypod Kitchen - Ko Olina
Our restaurants are founded upon a passion for craft and we are dedicated to mastering the craft of food, drink, and merrymaking…with Aloha! Our menu features fresh island fish, hand tossed pizzas from our kiawe wood burning oven, and homemade pies made from scratch.
Thirty-six craft beers served at twenty-nine degrees are on tap, representing the coldest beer and best selection of microbrews on the island. Our culinary cocktails feature unique ingredients such as acai spirit, coconut water, and Kula lavender. Our passion for craft also extends to our diverse wine list, which emphasizes sustainability, drinkability and fun.
Made a reservation through Open Table, arrived 15 minutes early for the reservation, waited 30 minutes.
We’d have been seated just as fast without a reservation.
Good service from the wait staff, good, not great food from the kitchen. For example, fish and chips, excellent fish, but soggy fries.
Excellent coconut cream pie
They add 2% to the bill for the kitchen staff, maybe they could add 2% for looking in the mirror twice.
It’s basically the only “sit down” restaurant outside of the resort eateries.
Service was excellent and my dinner beer (Hefeweizen)was very cold and delicious.
Second time coming here and the food was unexciting. Pot stickers were bland and the two sauces served with them seemed to be a last minute decision. One tasted like cocktail sauce and sriracha, the other a thin mixture of mustard and horseradish. Ordered chicken wings and it came with a bowl of green “wasabi” sauce, again very thin consistency, that I presumed was for dipping.
The Opah and prawn special of the night was nothing special. Fish and prawns were average, but once again the sauces, which covered the entire meal were difficult to eat. Tasted like a cross between butter and hollandaise.
I’ll stop by for a cold delicious drink here and there since I live in Ko Olina, but for now I’m not interested in eating the food here after my two experiences were unfortunately disappointing.
Excellent atmosphere, live music, great food!
We went to Monkeypod to celebrate our anniversary. The staff greeted us with two glasses of champagne followed by a wonderful dinner. The NY Steak was outstanding and my wife went with the over the top burger.
The service was great and the ambience very hip. I definitely would recommend the Monkeypod!
Great food, atmosphere and music. Whenever we’re in Ko Olina we make sure to eat at the Monkeypod!!!
Fantastic food and our server was amazing. Enjoyed eating here would highly recommend eating here.
Server tried to rush us to order food before he delivered our drinks. We ordered two of their signature drinks that we finally got 25 minutes later. They were not busy at all. We should have ordered food if we had any idea it would take so long to get anything. Almost an hour and one drink later we ordered food. Our meals came out pretty quick but our waiter disappeared for good. Two other people brought our $80.00 bottle of wine and the food. Finally the server brought the check, then took forever to bring my credit card back. The stood there to shoot the breeze. I have a lot of experience with island time, but this was disappointing.
Amazing Ahi Tuna and my favorite draft beer. What more do you need?
we were there for happy hour and got a pizza and pod sticks app and a couple of drinks, great experience.
Great happy hour. Loved the food and music
Our server Sarah was awesome. The overall experience was exceptional.
Great place. We ate dinner outside on the patio. Live music was wonderful, but a bit loud as we were there with 2 other couples and it was difficult to chat with the music. Server was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and the food was really good. Drinks too :) We sat at the bar upstairs later that night and the bartender there was very friendly and also knowledgeable of drink selection and made recommendations.
The staff was very friendly and helpful
Monkeypod is an OK choice, but certainly there are other restaurants nearby that are better.
The best happy hour menu on the island!
Loved happy hour: Cocktails were spectacular! Monkeypod has a really fun family-friendly ambience with nice views upstairs. We ate there three times in one week.
Great service. Welcomed and seated in short amount of time. Wait staff was prompt and helpful. Great place.
Great BBQ chicken pizza and the best Mai Tai’s ever!
Great, we loved it!!
Great food and atmosphere, a go to place when we visit Ko Olina Hawaii!!!
Went there 4/6 nights in Hawaii. Absolutely awesome and much better than hotel food.
Monkey pod was recommended to us. The food was good but pricey. Did not care for the mai tai at all. Not a place I would feel I had to go to again on my next visit to Hawaii.
Excellent! Our second visit!
As always, great food and service. Got several appetizers and a salad for two to share. It was all terrific. Love the ravioli, potstickers and salad with beets. Paired with a few glasses of wine and live music and we were happy campers. It was a great way to unwind after a long day of travel. I’ll definitely return on a future visit.
Great time had by all! Service was phenomenal!! Food was pretty good...
Good place considering location with limited choices.live music was great, food was good, service not awesome. But if you want to get away from Disney restaurants it’s a good choice, but nowhere near what is available at Four Seasons.
Nice way to celebrate anniversary- they made it very special
Poke Tacos are by far the best item on the menu. The quality of the fish is amazing and it is a must visit place for Ko Olina or any of the other monkey pod locations!!!
Excellent service, excellent food, a great array of drinks to choose from, and a friendly and inviting staff and atmosphere.
Pizza was good. Fish and chips as well as pork tacos were great. Fish tacos and fish sandwich were sooo dry. Server never filled our drinks and manager was the only person who actually checked in us to see how things were going. Drive somewhere else!
We have been to Monkey Pod multiple times in the last 7 years (last time 2 years ago). Each time we have been happy with our food choices and price. However, this time we found the food very bland and extremely overpriced. Out of three seafood options, none of them were anything to rave about. My youngest daughter’s fish and chips had the most flavor. I wouldn’t recommend Monkey Pod to anyone, nor do we have plans to return. Truly unfortunate!
Outstanding service and meal. We had a great table by the live musician - Big John. He was great! Perfect ambiance for this birthday dinner celebration!
Just really not worth the hype. Service was mediocre at this price point. Food was good, but not great.
Great food, casual and family-friendly atmosphere. It’s right across the street from Aulani and so it’s a nice alternative to the pricier options at the resort. Best place to sit is the second floor covered patio.
Great Mai Tai’s and great food. We were able to take advantage of happy hour specials. The strawberry pie is a must!
We decided to sit at the second level bar. Service was great. Plus it is more fun as there was just the two of us. The bar group and bartenders were much more entertaining plus the service was excellent
Great food, waiter and ambience (Kristi M playing).
We have dined at their Maui Restaurant, so we had high expectations. We were surprised to find this restaurant so much larger and with more elaborate decor. The food did not disappoint, and the wait staff was very attentive despite a very busy Friday night.
Kids love the pizza and fish sandwich was so yummy love the homemade pickles
Wonderful wood-fire pizza, my favorite type, and fish tacos. The strawberry pie was delicious. Our server was prompt and knowledgeable. Monkeypod's Mai Tai is good and very popular. We definitely enjoyed our meals and plan to return the next time we visit Ko Olina.
