Great happy hour!
Love it. Great staff and outstanding food!
great food. mahi mahi and fish and chips. the mai tai were also outstanding. stacey our server was awesome
Amazing service! It was our anniversary and they gave us free Prosecco and dessert! Would recommend! Definitely try the Mai Thai too.
Loved the food and cocktails but especially loved the great service from Bernadette!
Checked in early but had to wait an extra 20 minutes for our reservation.
Once seated our service was outstanding!
Food was good but some items were very heavy on the salt.
I wish that there were enough stars to actually describe how much we love this place
Amazing service. Food came out super quick! Delicious!
Food was ok. Great location and vibe, very pricey.
Always a great experience! Service is amazing and the favorites were Poke Tacos, Pumpkin Ravioli and the Kahlua pork and pineapple pizza. One small issue was the order in which we got our apps and meals - all out of whack. But overall a great location and experience.
Birthday for my son in law
Best fish tacos on the island- great sauce! We will be back!
The best restaurant in Maui. Great food and even better drinks. Must do happy hour
Another amazing meal at Monkeypod! We look forward to hitting this every time we come to Maui, although were just told they will no longer be taking advanced reservations, which is crazy, so this will probably kill it for us moving forward.
We made a reservation here at the recommendation of our daughter. We did Happy Hour (4:30 resy). The Mai tais were $10 and the pizzas were $10. Perfection.
Return trip to Monkeypod after a two year break. While the menu seemed more limited, what we did order did not disappoint. Mac nut crusted mahi and NY strip. Both meals were fantastic and cooked as ordered and served hot (something we haven’t had great luck with in this trip). The drinks are overpriced, but that’s expected when your 100’ from the beach watching the sunset. The cocktails were also very good despite the cost. Our server was Katie and she was a pleasure and perfectly attentive. We had ordered wine with our meal and our meals came before the wine. It was as if she were keeping an eye on our table because she delivered the wine within a first bite. One of the downsides here and just about anywhere nice is the fact it is extremely difficult to get in without a reservation or some serious patience (think 1+ hour wait). We luckily made a reservation about 10 days prior to our trip. Looking forward to our return post COVID. Until then, great job Monkeypod!
Beautiful location oceanfront in the very busy Whalers village. The food was standard Hawaii tourist fare, well prepared and flavorful. Service was prompt, but not well timed as entrees came out and were placed on the table before we were done with our appetizers. All said, we were in and out in less than one hour.
Always a favorite of ours!
Touristy but a good time. Buzzing, good service, and tasty drinks. Had quite a few mai tais and tacos.
Went for Happy Hour. Ordered a pizza which was good. We both enjoyed their mai tai very much -best to date.
Great lively atmosphere off the boardwalk in Whalers Village with ocean views.
Monkeypod is always a great meal, but I must admit, tonight’s experience was far from something to brag about. I understand it’s busy and stressful when you’re operating under COVID restrictions. However, regardless of what environment you’re operating in, your hostess is your equivalent of a First Experience Officer. It can make or break a nice meal out. Unfortunately, tonight it was a complete failure. Two of the rudest hostesses you’ll meet on the island. No “Hi”, no “Welcome”, just the friendly “What’s your name?” Follow that up with no eye contact, no “thank you”, just a pleasant “you can wait over there”. 25 minutes after our reservation we finally were texted to queue up in the line, followed by “your table is over here”. Honestly, a disappointing experience for a Peter Merriman establishment.
Overall, the food was delicious, mai tais excellent, and great service from the waiter. However, time to hire the right team members to be your first impression. They’ll ruin even the best night out.
The mai tais are fancy but not the best we've had. Our server was super friendly and offered good suggestions. Food was good. The open air ambience is fine. Unfortunately this restaurant is really built up in reviews and I think that might be a touch overstated. Not sure I'd return but it was a nice dining experience.
Great as usual
Best macadamia crusted Mahi Mahi with lemon sauce on the island! Also, probably the nest Mai Tai too and I’m a seasoned Maui visitor. YUM
While the service was exemplary, the entree was over-salted and the soup overly starchy. Cesar salad was very good. Luckily the waitress knew how to take care of her customers, and provided excellent customer service to solve the problem. The Hawaiian pizza had almost no pineapple and little ham. Not the best meal in paradise. I am only recommending because it is worth another try given the great service.
We are during happy hour and had great food, a great server and a great price! We had our one year olds daughter with us and our server was so great with accommodating her!
Always good food!
garbage. worst food on the island
do not bother. go to leilanis
Boring food experience I would compare to an Applebees but overpriced. Beautiful views in the very very busy whalers village. Staff was friendly.
Everything was just okay. Not bad, but I probably would choose to go elsewhere next time.
Love that place!’
Awesome Mai Tai and fish tacos. Great view outside.
It was our 30th wedding anniversary. We traveled here and we were looking forward to coming to the restaurant. Luke was a great manager on duty! He listened to us since we did not have a hostess who was made us feel warm and welcome. I made reservations a month out, she showed us to a table that was right near the hostess stand. It did not feel like a spot to celebrate our special occasion. We requested a different table and the hostess basically told us we would be bumped to a wait list:( But we asked for the manager and Luke took care of us. Mai Tais were great.
