Monkey Thai South Shore
Our pride lies in the unique blend of spices that are either homegrown or imported from the land of wonders itself. If you like Thai food, you have come to the right place.
Just a leisurely lunch with a friend. The lunch special fixed price for an appetizer salad entree and drink
is my favorite . Service today was good but is spotty depending on which server you get. The food was very tasty.
It was a good atmosphere and we were quickly taken care of. The food presentation was spectacular. My girlfriend and I ordered fried chicken wonton which was super good, ordered thai fired rice which was okay, nothing special ( just like any other fries rice ) and we also got Tom Yum which was really good and had a nice spice to it. Like I said the presentation was amazing. I would recommend this place to anyone, as it was overall a great experience.
Great late night eatery.
Not sure how this is rated so high and why reservations are needed. We walked in for a valentines date expecting to give our names and a table would be waiting for us per reservation protocol. We were told to sit wherever we liked which was good, and we didn’t even have to give our name. The service was also average. Wasn’t bad, but seeing as it got busy later, they get a pass here. If you make a reservation here this is what to expect: average Thai food. Mediocre service. Horrible ambience - TVs everywhere, wires dangling, graffitied windows, bathroom is a few minute walk around the building, so expect your company will await your return a of 5min minimum. The pricing didn’t reflect the level of food quality, but did meet expectations of an average Thai restaurant. My recommendation is neutral.
The food was well prepared and tasty. However the food was brought all at once rather than being served as a series of courses.
I really enjoy coming to this restaurant. It’s cozy yet has enough table where you do not get rushed out when you are done with your meal . The pas Zee ew noodles are my favorite. I usually order the lunch special which includes a choice of appetizer a salad and beverage like Thai ice tea or coffee. The Thai ladies are very welcoming and very pleasant.
The food was really good, and they had a combo plate for $45 that fed 3 people. I highly recommend it.
Stopped here before heading to Oracle Arena. Happy hour menu and pricing as well. Wide variety of dishes, yummy appetizers, large portions. Way better than food options at arena. A local favorite with many take out orders.
Great garlic noodles and pad thai. We come a lot for lunch, since there is a low-priced lunch special including a fresh appetizer. The soups are very large and shareable. The SouthShore Mall location stays open later than the north Alameda location, and has a lot more seating and parking.
