This my favorite roll... The lobster roll. I request it be steamed (instead of fried) and it is delicious!
Over-priced, the waitress needs training, and the cocktails were very weak. Not worth my time and money.
This place was awesome.
Great modern but warm decor. they refurbished an old home.
The place is small so reservations are a good idea.
The most fresh and inventive beautiful sushi plates I have ever had.
The owner came by and spoke to us several times as well.
Great service as well. Also had their own signature saki which was very good.
Great food. We loved the sex and the city roll. It was a perfect night to eat on the patio. Such a great atmosphere.
Amazing restaurant. The food, mixed drinks and service was incredible. Very friendly and knowledgeable waiter (Justin). He helped us pick some great options for dinner. This will be our go-to for date night.
Not your typical sushi. The service was GREAT!! Definitely try one of the specialty cocktails.
It was great... great service, great food... just a little too pricey for frequent dining.
Great food, great drinks, great service, great atmosphere - unique place.
The food was good but the noise level is quite loud. Service was mediocre but acceptable.
One of the best meals I've had in a while...we will definitely go back!
Absolutely the best Asian fusion restaurant around. Innovative and delicious, and the service was fantastic! We ordered the yellowtail jalapeno shots, the ribs (phenomenal), a sushi roll, and bang bang shrimp. The portions are generous for tapas-style. The drinks are fresh and sooo good.
While the food was pricey, it was delicious and exquisitely arranged. The decor and table settings create a delightfully modern atmosphere. Our waiter gave great recommendations. I highly recommend the California King roll.
Food was amazing and it’s wonderful to have a very high quality sushi retairant along the lines of MF here in Roswell. Delicious and creative. Unique flavors, outside the norm. We have really great sushi options in town but this is the elevated option! Jason was our server, great guy.
Wonderful evening addressing Some of my current cravings that I was having. I absolutely had to have the bang bang shrimp, the angry ribs and the kimchi pork fried rice. Everything was fantastic, service was prompt and attentive and we live within walking distance, so we will be back often! Total bill for these three shareable’s and two beers and two glasses of wine was $80
Service was awful
First time and I was very impressed! Amazing ambiance, and not super small like most of the places in this area. You aren’t sitting on top of your neighbor which is nice. Patio is fabulous as well. Great sushi and tapas, even better cocktails. We had the calamari and Brussels to start. Calamari was sub par, wouldn’t order again. Then we ordered a few rolls, the Rolls Royce was amazing which I was very surprised as it is essentially a California roll. But it is a must try, even for an experienced sushi eater like myself! Will visit here again.
Best sushi in Roswell! We each ordered a different roll for all to try, all delicious! We ordered duplicates of the ones we loved. The smoked soy sauce is unique, goes well with various rolls. The service was great, very knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. We will go again soon.
The food and service was fantastic. We enjoyed celebrating our anniversary at Monkey 68. We will definitely be back
Very slow service and waitress didn't got the simplest order!
We stopped in here for our first time, and probably last time. Came in about 8:15 and I bet you, it took damn near a half-hour or even a little longer to get our first meal. Service was very slow. I could understand if all the tables were full, but at the time we were there, they only had maybe 20% of the tables with people at them. I will say, for the amount of food, it was a ok value
Had a reservation at 8:15. Didn’t get seated until 8:55. What’s the point of a reservation if you can’t get seated within a reasonable amount of time.
Food was excellent but always seems to be something they are out of. All in all very good with those exceptions and the noise level is always high!!
Enjoyed our evening. Knowledgeable server and didn’t have a dish we didn’t all enjoy.
Fantastic meal, all four of us loved everything we tried, can’t wait to go back!
I read a bunch of reviews before deciding to go there for my 40th birthday dinner and it did not disappoint! Who would have guessed behind the doors of what looks like a little house was this fun and contemporary environment. The food was by far the star of the show, as was the amazing service by our waiter with the contagious smile and wealth of menu knowledge. My only slight complaint was the bar was beyond swamped that night due to not having the second bartender. The entire experience made up for that and I will certainly be back and refer to many others!
We let the server choose our food throughout the evening and he did a superb job. Everything was amazing. Drinks were fantastic and the atmosphere is very unique.
Just another 'trendy' stye restaurant that tries hard for 'trendy' while failing to be a great restaurant...I'd even take 'good' but that was not the case. The atmosphere was stereotypical trendy but poorly executed. The noise level was ridiculous and the seating was downright uncomfortable...bench seating in particular was extremely uncomfortable and the chairs were not much better.
The service was also bad. We went on a Saturday night and our server kept coming back to us telling us 'it takes a long time because they make sushi and that takes time and when its a Saturday when its really busy it takes even longer' .
Really? You are a sushi restaurant! I appreciate that good food takes time but to not be prepared to serve your Saturday customers in a somewhat timely manner is ridiculous...more so that they seemed completely unprepared to handle a full restaurant. Prices would not be unreasonable if the quality of the sushi was worthy of it...it wasn't. Many great sushi restaurants in metro Atlanta are superior for the same amount of money...and less.
Too much liquid smoke on everyrhing. For a sushi joint who the heck smokes the soy sauce ?? Bottom line the noise level was like a jet plane taking off really!!!
How about installing some sound absorbing panels on the wall, it was like dining in a bunker.
The place was overpriced as well. Ya know I'm so sick and tired of dining ignorance people. Just because the place was packed does not mean the food is good.
Anyhow this place is off our list.
Monkey 68 was great. Cool atmosphere.
Would recommend for dates and special occasions.
Our first visit. Great, very unique cocktail menu... delicious. Naha (spelling, but wonderful server) helped us select EVERY THING and made the evening enjoyable... lots of very unique sushi-esque selections.
Monkey 68 is my new favorite sushi spot. The sushi was fantastic, the cocktails delicious and creative. It was the middle of the week, so not crowded. We had no trouble hearing each other. The server was knowledgeable and pleasant.
The host and wait staff were great. The food was amazing and didn’t take too long to come out once we ordered.
One of the best sushi spots in the greater Atlanta area!
I’m a huge sushi fan and this was some of the best I’ve had in Atlanta. I love trying new kinds of fish and they had a great selection. Very fresh, creative, and artistic.
Food was great, service was poor. They started cleaning up the restaurant at 9 when it closed at 10:30. They stacked chairs on top of tables next to us and turned up the house lights. It felt like they were trying to kick us out. Very disappointed.
Outstanding cuisine, well trained wait staff, taste sensations you will want to revisit.
Food good, service good, rude valet who made us uncomfortable as he appeared to try to damage our vehicle while parking another vehicle. We told manager who didn't seem to care.
My husband is a disabled vet and we prefer not to allow valet service to drive our vehicles due to past bad experiences.
Our Valentine's Day special night out was ruined due to the tense atmosphere as we were made to have constant concern that the valet would attempt to damage our vehicle intentionally.
We will not go back to this restaurant again.
This was my first time at Monkey68...and all I can say is WOW!! Small house converted to a restaurant, like many in Roswell. This was just such a fun experience. First of all, their cocktail list is just really awesome....very unique and creative concoctions for sure! The food, well is simply amazing. Very expensive but very amazing and again, unique in many cases. I classify myself as a sushi aficionado and have tried hundreds of places around the US. For anyone who has been to Austin and had sushi there, I would equate Monkey68 very much to Uchi in Austin. I'm a little worried of posting this because I don't want it to get impossible to get into :). If you are looking for sushi anywhere near Roswell, come here for sure.
A wonderful addition to Roswell..to Atlanta as well. Simply delightful.
Food is delicious and waiter was great about helping us order.
We were referred to Monkey 68 by a friend who is picky. We loved the sushi and appetizers and cocktails here. They were traditional type Korean and Chinese foods with a twist. The cocktails were also unique and tasty. The owner is friendly and comes by to make sure we are taken care of. It was a little more pricey than I thought (about $90 for 2 people for 2 drinks, 2 appetizers, and 2 sushi rolls), but the quality of the sushi was excellent and no fishy flavor- was fresh.
