   Service was good. I did order hot tea and never received it, but that’s not a big deal she was very busy.

   I’m VERY disappointing at both the restaurant and especially Open Table for not updating your database. This restaurant no longer used open table, yet I received all the confirmations from open table for my reservation and continued with all the follow up emails as well. I booked here for my birthday and was very disappointed to find out the restaurant did not have my reservation. Open Table - I will not be using you for my future reservations as you have lost all credibility!!

   It was my and my wife's 25th wedding anniversary. While we had travel plans the following week, we wanted to do something to celebrate the day of. The place is small but quaint. It captures a French bistro feel in central California. The food, while not "traditionally French" is good, but pricey for a small town. A singer performed in English and French, which added a certain amount of charm. Plate sharing was no problem and portions were good. The most delightful part was our waitress. She was very sweet and helpful. She didn't hover but was there when we needed her. She offered us our dessert for free because of our anniversary (very thoughtful.) She also offered our cappuccinos for free because they had to be made with cream (they had run out of milk) and offered my wife a free glass of wine that she had been bragging on (it was very good.) We were able to lounge for 2 hours eating, listening to music, gazing into each other's eyes. While the food was not the finest I had ever had, the memory of the entire experience is one I will cherish.

   Monet's is a very quaint and delightful bistro. My favorite kind. To find this restaurant in an out of way charming little town in Exeter east of Visalia was very surprising. We would have never known of it's existence if not recommended to us from the bed and breakfast we stayed in Lemon Cove, a mere 8 miles away. We had a small dinner because, being on vacation, we had been eating all day. So we ate light. I had the french onion soup and a garden salad with a ceasar dressing. Both were very good. My husband had a pizza which was served like individual crostini on a platter. It was very nicely presented. The ambiance of the bistro is very pleasing to the eye. During our meal, we were entertained by a guitarist/singer who added to the overall experience. All in all it was a fun evening. I only wished we were hungrier.

   The moment my girlfriend and I walked in the door we knew we were in a very special restaurant. The food was excellent. Service was superior. I strongly suggest the lobster ravioli and lavender cheese cake. I have cooked in 5 star restaurants and monets good is definitely 5 star

   We had been here before and I loved the ambiance on the outdoor patio. So while in the area on a camping trip we made a point to stay in Exeter to return here. It was just as nice as we remembered! We had 3 1/2 glasses of wine, pizza and salad. It was delicious! Friendly staff! So glad we were able to return here!
