Fresh is the key to all of our fare from fresh organic juices and light snacks to robust pastas, our menu has something for everyone. As a hotel guest or a South Beach local, make Mondrian Caffè your first stop of the day or your last stop of the evening.
Outside seating is in the middle of the pool. People walking around with boom boxes and terrible service. If you are trying to see the sunset and sit on the water go somewhere else.
Great ambiance, nice view, good food but service was slow for drinks even though we were there for the buffet and served ourselves the food.
It was ok. Have been there for brunch a few times and it’s been much better. Feels like the quality and variety of food and drinks has deteriorated but the views are consistently beautiful.
Accommodating and attentive service made my experience in a positive way.
Service was good but buffet and a la carte was beyond non-eatable. Even the egg salad was a fail, same for pastries and granola. I do not recommend!
I enjoyed the Happy Hour drinks and appetizers. Dinner was delicious. The view across the bay was stunning.
Lovely view for a relaxing brunch.
Food was amazing!
Essen einfach gut! Service war sehr langsam obwohl keine Kundschaft vorhanden war aber waren sehr freundlich. Außenbereich schön aber war sehr leer gegen 21 Uhr. Innen auch sehr schön!
This place is nothing like the pictures. The “restaurant” is actually in the lobby area of the hotel where ppl are coming and going to the pool. There is also a very small selection of food and it wasn’t all that good. For what this cost it’s just not worth it.
We had brunch here during our vacation and loved it. Great views and good, just a little pricey, but to be expected. Very attentive and friendly service.
Everything was great except the flan. Looked good but not what you’d expect.
They add a 20% service fee. It is a buffet, you get your food yourself. Plus workers there are not into customer service at all.
One of the best quality, moderately priced brunches in town. Great value, offering a variety of dishes to choose from. The best part, however was the attentive, high quality service of Chef Odel and his entire staff. They did not skip a beat, checking on our table, bringing drinks, clearing that table, replenishing the buffet, etc. We had a splendid experience and highly recommend to locals as well. Thank you Odel, Omar, Anthony, Marie, Luis V, Luis S and a huge huge thank you to Luis, the pool manager. He worked so hard to ensure that we felt welcomed and pampered. His staff is incredible. The Mondrian, would be just another pretty hotel without these dedicated folks.
The most amazing Sunday Brunch!!! We will definitely be back!!
Loved the restaurant! Beautiful decor inside and out, and the food was very good! Servers and hosts were very welcoming. Took a long time to get food, but once it arrived, it was delicious!! So that says something ...the food was worth the wait!
The modern look and feel and proximity to the water create a nice first impression. The appeal is only skin deep, however. Waiting staff had a very indifferent attitude and was not very friendly. Food had little flavor and, for the money, dishes were totally no creativity and had no dressing of any kind. Seriously overpriced and tip automatically included, whether you like it or not.
Didn't seem very busy when we got there. But took maybe 30-45 minutes to get the bottle of Presco that was offer with brunch. I wasn't very impressed with the selection of food that was on offer during the brunch buffet. It's a pool side outdoor setting good music and ambience. Lots of people walking around from servers to pool goers. Beautiful view of the bay. Boats passing bye.
Had a great time today. Brunch was amazing, the different stations were great. And the variety of food as well. Will definitely go back
Thee food was very good, It exceeded my expectations. I wasn't expecting for the food to be that good.
Absolutely beautiful views, especially at sunset. You can't see them from your table but you are free to walk around the resort and get a great Miami skyline iew from across the bay. The outdoor setting and music was wonderful. The food was priced well and tasted great! The only down side was the service. Our waiter was always scarce to be found and we waited almost an hour for our food.
This is a must do when you visit South Beach! The view is spectacular and the food is amazing!! Such a cool vibe! Everything we ate was delicious. Great variety of sushi, omelette bar, carving station, dessert bar, etc, etc, and free flowing mimosas and/or champagne.
I did Sunday Brunch and pool afterward. Service and food was excellent service very happy from the style of the hotel to the food presentation. Can’t wait to go back
Enjoyed our brunch, with very good service. One suggestion: the greeter should point out the carving station and sushi bar to guests. We didn't see either until we left. In particular, the carving station was far to the side, and, judging by the lack of activity there (the beef wasn't touched), no one else knew about it either.
If you visit for breakfast and lunch you should have a good experience, have dinner somewhere else.
Valentine’s Day - we love the setting and ambiance, and the wait staff was excellent. However my wife ordered a martini and they brought it in a tumbler. Sorry we have no martini glasses...ridiculous!!
They brought me two beautiful prawns. When I cut into the first one, it wasn’t cooked. They took it back and brought back perfectly cooked prawns, they were delicious. My wife’s oysters excellent.
The main courses were also delicious.
Then the waiter announced he was sorry but the special dessert was not available. Wait what? There were only a dozen people eating at the restaurant. So what happened to the special Valentines dessert??? So he said they were going to give us a sampling of three desserts, which turned out to be sub-par.
All in all, overpriced, very uneven. We did manage to have a very nice time in spite of the Mondrian Cafe.
Excellent customer service
I went to the Mondarian for my anniversary and it was fun. We had the brunch which was decent. Free bottle of Prosseco. The drinks are pricey but the ambience and the pool is nice for younger couples. I would not bring kids here.
Beautiful place...The beach is very close. Dress comfortable a lot of walking involved.
Connection between Open Table and the restaurant was lost or disconnected. Had not been made aware there was an issue beforehand. Was told that we had no reservation and did have a table. However, the manager Omar made up for the error and graciously made wonderful accomodations. Brunch buffet was delicious and the ambiance along the Miami skyline was AWESOME!
The brunch is alright. I would not rate the food offering or the service outstanding but just fair. The sushi was very limited, just California rolls really, not real sushi. They didn't have any chopsticks, soy sauce, ginger, or wasabi out for at least the first 45min - 1 hr. I asked for it and the sushi chef looked at me like I was crazy. The told me let me check with the manger. And I'm like...check what? He didn't come back for about 15 min. so I just went back to my business. After a long while they brought soy sauce and ginger to our table, but only for one person. We are clearly two people sitting there, but still no chopstick or wasabi. Kind of annoying. Anyway...the meager sushi is the only fish option really on this menu, and it's really no fish at all (imitation crab!)
The rest of the offerings are just average.
Tried the Sunday champagne brunch for the first time. Food was good and there was a nice variety. Service was friendly. Very nice atmosphere overlooking the bay. We will definitely go back for brunch!
We love the brunch at Mondrian. Very good music from DJ, Bottle of Prosecco and great service from Juan
Brunch was AMAZING worth 4 stars, but dinner was the opposite unfortunately... I definitely look forward to returning for brunch!
Great experience with the pool and DJ also
The server, (lady who takes you to desk) is ridiculously rude
I don’t know how the hotel / restaurant hires people like them.
She totally ruined our Sunday.
I said we have a reservation at 10:30 and she said no our brunch starts from 11:00 and ignored us (what? Everybody is eating there and people keep coming in) I said excuse me, I didn’t want to have fancy brunch, I just came in to eat breakfast. And she said Fine, then you have to eat in 15 min, otherwise you will be double charged (breakfast and Lunch). iS SHE CRAZY??
And then the manager came out and Nono~ enjoy your self..
I didn’t get her name but this hotel should be shamed.
Later I found lots of people’s experience about that person at many hotel reviews. Oh yes that makes me feel slightly better as I am not the only one. She should see herself what she is doing.
The service was amazing Jose who served us during brunch was awesome. The food was hot, fresh & tasteful. I would recommend this place to all my friends and concierge team members.
Descent food offers but very slow service
Brunch was fantastic! The sushi was especially good. Not a huge buffet but very high quality. We will back for brunch!
I was really looking forward to this brunch but I was disappointed, I love the Mondrian hotel but the food selection was limited, very busy, too many half naked people, I understand that guests may be at the pool and come inside the restaurant to eat but they should cover themselves, it is gross to see someone's behind while you are eating ;-) the restaurant staff should enforce more the dress code in the restaurant, apart from that, the value vs food was not there either, sorry guys
Great brunch! We had a Travelzoo deal and enjoyed it so much. Sat outside and enjoyed this lovely hotel cafe next to their gorgeous pool! Service was great and brunch food was fantastic!
