Loved the Mondrian for Sunday Brunch. The brunch buffet was amazing. The service, however, was very slow in ensuring plates were removed and serving drinks. I was very surprised at how slow our server was, given the small amount of tables being waited on (drinks only).
Nevertheless, I would return to the Mondrian as the view, food, and atmosphere was great.
Overall, nice spot but train your staff on delivering better service.
I went to celebrate mothers day. I took my two year old daughter. She didnt eat anything and i was charge around $50 for her. I disputed the charge and i was told that she was seen eating. I literally gave her a little piece of my eggs. Very disappointing
It was my friend’s birthday. Our waiter seemed to have been doing some profiling in the beginning. He wasn’t friendly at all . We asked about sitting closer to the water and the answer he gave was a complete turn off as if we weren’t worthy of the seating in that area, at the least bit he was very snobby. We ordered unlimited mimosa and had to cancel because he didn’t come back after giving us the first one. It wasn’t until we gave him a little extra of a tip he warned up to us. We’ve been to many brunches, but will not return to this one.
We went for the Sunday brunch and had alot of fun. It is quite noisy, but that is to be expected at a poolside on South Beach. The buffet was fairly decent, but not extravagant. This is a fun place to take out of town guests
Where to start with this venue? I went here for the Sunday brunch with my wife. We had made reservations 2 weeks in advance for 1pm for January 21. Before arriving we were a few min late, which I called the hostess and informed her I would be about 10 min late max. She replied with an article stating my table outside would be given away to other people, very rude. However, we were able to make it right at 1pm. Once we arrived, the told us we would have to wait 20 min because the tables were full. We then waited at the bar about 25 min to which the hostess stated they were getting our table ready. 5 min later, she came back stating the owner had come in and took our table. I found this to be the most rude, disrespectful thing any restaurant owner could do. You NEVER take the table away from your customers if you’re truly an owner that cares about your business. She then told us to wait a bit longer and she would get us a table. All in l, we sat down about 45 min later. About 20 min later, they started taking down all the food from the buffet!!! How on earth do you take away the food from a buffet when there’s people eating??? They offered us some discount, and to order something from the regular menu. However, the entire experience sucked, the food was average, and they Really don’t have their act together and have huge attitudes, starting from the top, since clearly the owner leads by example by taking tables from customers. Though the view is great, for $62 per person, many other places in miami deserve your brunch business than this place.
The brunch here was excellent and the food was very good especially the sushi! Our waiter was great!
