Atlas Restaurant Group presents Monarque, a French brasserie located in Baltimore’s Harbor East. Monarque is inspired by the French era of prosperity when culture boomed and extravagance flourished. The cuisine is complemented by a beverage program with over 500 French wine labels and an extensive collection of Cognac and Armagnac.

Transporting guests to another time and place while being rooted in the present, Monarque hosts a rotation of acts every weekend, with Baltimore's best jazz musicians, cabaret vocalists, burlesque dancers, and more.

Monarque welcomes guests of all ages Tuesday and Wednesday. On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, the experience is suited for guests 18 years of age and older, and only adults are permitted to dine.

When making your weekend reservations, note that parties of 1-5 guests will have two hours to enjoy our cuisine and entertainment, parties of 5-8 will dine for two hours and 30 minutes, and parties of 9 and more can enjoy seating for three hours.

    My husband was excited to celebrate his birthday at Monarque on a Thursday but not sure if it was an off night for them. It all started when our server was impatient and seemed checked out when taking our order. The restaurant was light and empty pretty much the entire evening. We explained and went over how we wanted our food to come out with our entrees at least three times. No birthday shoutout or complimentary dessert and ordered the largest steak (42 oz) in the building. Husband called this out so not a successful birthday to him.

    Our experience was very unsatisfactory. I made this reservation for a birthday and I spoke so highly of this place because I came here back in 2022 and it was amazing so I had high expectations, but I was disappointed.We were seated for roughly 20 minutes before I stopped someone asking to bring bread or something to the table, then waited again before stopping someone else asking for the same thing because the first person did not come back. Though our waitress apologized for the neglect it would have been nice if she or anyone had said something prior so that we weren’t sitting waiting with just a glass of water. The waitress came took our order. My appetizer was horrible and I pretty much did not finish my dinner. I would give my experience a 2/10 and the points came from the performance, which was still lacking. I guess because of the experience I had from years prior, I had Monarque on a pedestal my expectations were obviously too high. I am highly disappointed.

Monarque delivered a world-class experience in every sense—food, service, and entertainment were all nothing short of spectacular. We started with the beef tartare, which was expertly prepared tableside—a beautiful and delicious performance that set the tone for the evening. I ordered the filet mignon Every bite was perfectly seasoned and artfully presented. The service was impeccable, with staff who were warm, knowledgeable, and attentive without being overbearing. The entertainment added another layer of sophistication and charm, creating an atmosphere that was both lively and intimate. Monarque is the epitome of an upscale dining experience—elegant, immersive, and truly unforgettable. If you’re looking for a night out that feels like something out of a dream, this is the place. Absolutely magical!

    Service was on point, but the overpriced food was less than desired. $82 for over cooked rib cap and $24 for a Black Manhattan up that came in an old fashioned glass with a rock. The waitress brought it back to the bar who strained it into a nick & Nora instead of just remaking it correctly!

    The staff was fantastic. They were very helpful with food choices and drinks. Allowed us to stay Omar our table to enjoy the show. Loved the talent and will definitely return.

    Our waiter went out of his way to ensure my friend with food allergies had an equal experience in terms of choices and opportunities, as he asked the chef to make dishes differently so she could try them safely. The staff in general were very accommodating, and the food of course was delicious!

    This’s an interesting concept. Good cuisine combined with “burlesque”. We were there early, which I understand is a tamer show than after 9:30. Smarmy is the best term I can think of for the band, singer and two strippers we saw. I felt embarrassed for the performers who were playing music that was popular when their grandparents were young. Three of our 6 ordered the steak and frites. It was good, especially the Mickey D style fries. We all thought our food was good, especially the profiteroles for dessert. Monarque is expensive and they add 20% tip. Our service was good so I probably would’ve wound up tipping about the same, but I resent them automatically adding it.

    The quality of the food is good however it was way too salty. Eaten there before and it wasn’t too salty. I love the mushrooms however that was very salty too.  Enjoy the burlesque show. Staff is friendly as well.
