Monarch Prime and Bar
Nice setting, staff were good, food too salty or overloaded with mayo-based toppings
Ate at Monarch before a show at the Orpheum. Menu had a nice variety of options and the service was great. Our server explained the dishes and we had a great dinner! The items were a delight to the eye & palate, with some surprising twists. The menu was fresh and playful. My husbands meatloaf was more than simple meatloaf. The kale appetizer was fun, too. Very enjoyable experience. I would recommend that due to its proximity to the theater, they consider a prix fix pre-theater offering.
The service was fantastic!! I’m still tasting the bison carpaccio, 😄 jake and allll the staff that helped make our night a wonderful event and not just a” night out “
The food was excellent. When one of our party did not particularly care for just one item, the server and manager made sure to make it right, for the whole table! Overall, a lavish dining experience.
We enjoyed the resturant however the Halibut was very flat no taste the bison & filet very chewy taste good. Prices are were higher than other high end restaurants in downtown Omaha. All the veggies were excellent!!!
My food took 50 minutes to come out after I ordered it and my steak was overcooked. By the time I finally got my food, I did not want to go through with the trouble of re-ordering my $45 steak. I would not return.
This place is absolutely spectacular; every time it has been a perfect experience. Cocktails are strong and delicious, the atmosphere and ambiance of the entire building is beyond compare in Omaha, the food is incredible and the staff are on it! Even the music is great! We've been there only four times in the past year and the manager welcomes us back every time and remembers us. We love the pate and the bleu cheese kale apps (seriously, we could make a meal of just these two items!). The aged wagyu steaks are like eating the essence of steak. Our favorite place in Omaha hands down. Wish I could live in the hotel and eat and drink downstairs every day!
Epic and wonderful romantic dining
The filet was off the charts
Excellent service and food. Great staff who were willing to work with dietary restrictions and still provide delicious food!
First visit here and enjoyed it quite a bit. It was busy - Sat night and there was a Justin Timberlake concert that night. Loved the decor and energy of the room. Service was a bit slow, but that seemed deliberate. They did offer us an expedited menu if we were trying to make the show. The menu is non-traditional for a steakhouse, and we found it very appealing. There are steak of course, but everything from gnocchi to pork shoulder to roasted cauliflower in the entrees. The blue cheese and kale app was excellent, we enjoyed our salads, and the gnocchi and waygu sirloin with broccolini were very good. Our server was personable and laid back. Very good to excellent experience - we'll be back for sure.
My husband and I went prior to seeing Justin Timberlake. Our waitress made a great recommendation for me when I asked for a margarita, she recommended to try the Paloma instead. It was amazing. Our waitress also let us know that there was a SHOW menu, preset to get food faster and out on time. She let us know that the main menu may take longer. We did the SHOW menu and loved everything. The ambiance alone is worth it, but you will also get outstanding service and food! Perfect experience!
Pete was an awesome waiter. The food was amazing. It was a great way to celebrate my wife's Birthday. A romantic setting and great dinner.
Good service, good beer, poor value. Portions are small and overpriced.
Fantastic service and wonderful food. We had the tasting menu and were very pleased. Kudos to the chef, sommelier, and wait staff!
No difficulty getting reservations, service was outstanding. The food was, simply put, wonderful. Price reflected quality of the meal. The setting was uncrowded and pleasant.
Great waiter; carpaccio fantastic; excellent wine list; VERY quiet; loved the ambiance
Cocktails were very good. Food was good but not sure worth the price point.
Great atmosphere and quality food. Nice cocktails too!
First experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious but pricey. The waiter barely spoke and came across as rude. His attitude dampened what could have been a great experience. It is easier to overlook the price when the service is good.
The dishes were delicious! Wonderful flavors. Great experience. We’ll be back.
I will be dreaming about that spinach for a long time! They transformed a boring starter salad into something that easily became my favorite part of the meal. I also had the wagyu sirloin and it was cooked to perfection.
Outstanding food and service! Unique Omaha dinner experience.
This is a great date night or corporate night out. Service was amazing (Jason) and so was food. I'm in love with your wedge and short rib dish. Heaven help me.
We'll be back -
Love this place. It's beautiful and modern and very chic. Pricey, so be prepared for that. Love to host guests here.
Superb flavor, chef's taste menu is the way to go. We are already looking forward to returning and doing it again. 5 courses over about 1.5 hours. Small savory and delightful plates with massive flavors making you want more.
Cocktails were pricey and one special drink listed wasn't available. Also was offered sparkling water but was brought tap water. Two relatively small issues that should not detract from the phenomenal food and flavor experience.
First time dining at the Monarch and we loved it! Our waiter- Michael was outstanding! Food was very tasty and ambiance was cozy yet elegant.
Delicious great service and wonderful experience. The chef is creative and he made my night
Everything about our experience was amazing at Monarch. Highly recommend this place for wine and steak enthusiasts.
Our sever Chelsea was fantastic! We had the 5 course chef’s tasting and wine pairing and were not disappointed. Definitely will be coming back.
MEH. Bison carpaccio appetizer: A nice portion, but so overworked with other ingredients that you could not taste the meat. Dover sole in brown butter caviar sauce: the sauce itself was delightful by the spoonful, but way to over powering for the sole, of which there was only a tiny, cigarette box-sized piece. Wait staff was insistent, almost demanding, and all clearly had a script for the evening, which I kept hearing at the other tables, and was off putting. Not recommended.
Thee food was disappointing, especially for the price point. Will not return.
Great meal, service, atmosphere.
Get the chefs menu/pairing if they offer it. Great all around!
We love Monarch so much we came here to celebrate our engagement, just the two of us. We love the atmosphere and the staff here makes everyone feel special. The space is big enough to not feel cramped, but divided up enough into niches and different levels that it still feels cozy. The menu is extensive enough that everyone will be able to find something for their palate, but small enough that every dish is a specialty, with no padding. All the food we've had has been delicious, but you can't match a steak and the pommes purée for a first-time visit.
Cocktails are reasonably priced for a nicer place, and have a nice variety to them, with seasonal changes. You're paying a little more for the food, but you'll know it was worth it the second you take the first bite.
We had the WORSt service I have ever had at a restaurant. Waters were never filled, coffee was ordered and never brought. Waiter never checked back with us EVER! For this caliber of restaurant, excellent service is expected! I would not recommend or return when there are so many other steakhouse options in Omaha were you can get a great meal with exceptional service.
We had a reservation for 6:45. We didn’t leave until 9:45. This would have been fine if during that time we were offered drinks or cared for at all. It was the worst service I have had in a very long time. Luckily, the food was good once it actually arrived.
Big, big fan. The decor. The music. The attentive, knowledgeable, and fun staff. The thoughtfully conceived, complex yet incredibly balanced dishes. One of the better dining experiences my wife and I have had in many moons. I request the highest of fives. Special thanks to our server, Kylene. We’ll be back soon to soak it all in and to showcase my reflexes for the staff.
The tasting menu was a complete delight! Excellent service, wine and food!
We had the five course tasting menu and it was amazing! Every bite was absolutely divine! We added the wine pairing option and it truly took each course to another level in taste sensation. The course we liked the least was dessert. It was just meh in comparison to the previous courses. However that’s not unusual with an amazing chef; they tend to specialize in sweet or savory. It wouldn’t make me hesitate in the slightest to order the tasting menu again. It was an experience that shouldn’t be missed!!
The meal was delicious and the service was exceptional!
