We love, love this restaurant. The food as well as the experience is very special, making it clear that the staff works together as a cohesive team who loves what they do, and do it exceptionally well.

Great place! The food is outstanding...every single bite! The four of us each got a different meal and we tasted all of them. So yummy. And the cocktails are divine!! They have their own signature cocktails, but you can ask for anything and the talented bartender will know how to craft it. We were here when it was a new establishment and the service was kind of clunky, but that is not the case anymore. We had such a great evening!

Awful service; sat for 1 hour waiting for appetizer: waitress forgot salad course; signature steak was terrible.

Music was blaring and our table was wedged between 2 others.

Incredibly irritating; wish we had walked out.

This was our second year at Monarch Prime for New Year’s Eve. Last year experience was exceptional and there were four of us. This year we brought 10 people. Our service was terrible. Our waiter never smiled and generally did not seem to want to be working. When we asked for additional water and additional menu the waiter and say well it’s down at the end of the table and not hand it to anybody or offer to get more water. Unfortunately we won’t be coming back for a New Year’s experience even though the food is amazing.

We visited Monarch based on a friends recommendation. Had the NYE Prefix menu so I was slightly disappointed but there were still interesting options.

I would say the food was mediocre. The presentation was pretty but for the price... it wasn’t mind blowing.

Fun to try somewhere new but this wouldn’t be my first on my list as a menu to revisit.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary on a Saturday. We were greeted quickly for our reservation and seated almost immediately. Our server Kylene introduced herself and was very helpful in explaining any item on the menu. We went with the Chef's tasting menu and it was superb. We were pleased with the very tasty and original combinations of flavors as well as quite taken with the wine pairings (we did the regular and not the reserve wines and were not at all disappointed}. The pace of the tasting menu presentation was nice...we were allowed time to savor each element and not rushed from one item to the next. Toward the end of the meal (about 2 hours after arriving), the chef came to our table and spent some time with us and we were able to share about our interest in food and he told us of their vision and practice at Monarch, as well as some details about himself as a person, which we appreciated. All in all, one of my more pleasant dining experiences in Omaha and I highly recommend them.

Underwhelmed and disappointed in the food. Food was luke warm and inconsistent flavor between multiple of the same dish at the table. Love a great, creative and eclectic meal but this was not impressive. Service was underwhelming and sporadic. Disappointed for the price point. Too many other better options at the price point in omaha.

Everything was perfect for our Christmas brunch; the hostess held the door open for us; our waitress was friendly and professional; the food was literally to-die-for - everyone loved their meals. I drank a French75 - one of the best cocktails of my life; my husband drank the coffee and thinks it was so delicious. From soup to nuts (yes, we had a fabulous dessert) it was amazing and we will go back when we return to Omaha.

The service was slow. Took several requests just to have water brought to our table. It didn’t seem very busy and I saw 9 or 10 waitstaff, so it didn’t make sense. I don’t like to be rushed, but from the time we sat down to the time we walked out it was just over two hours; which seemed excessive.

We found the food to be excellent albeit pricey. The service was slow at first, then unfortunately, delivered by a waiter who exuded an unapproachable attitude. We believe service is paramount and should include friendly, helpful, and attentive demeanor. Our server was severe and minimalist; a deterrent to the entire experience.

After a horrible experience at another local high end steakhouse Monarch helped us with last minute reservations on Christmas Eve. Fantastic waiter, great Old Fashioned and French 75, excellent wine recommendations and food and presentation was excellent. Little pricey but will be back because it was a great value.

We arrived early and had expertly crafted cocktails at the bar to start our experience at Monarch. The host let us know when our table was ready and didn’t hurry us to be seated, which was perfect as we were not in a hurry. Once seated, Michael was gracious and made excellent suggestions based on his extensive knowledge of the menu. He was attentive, professional and fun to interact with throughout the meal. We each tried several different menu items and all were happy with our choices. The steaks are always amazing, which one of us had, and the others had the short rib and the waygu beef meatloaf. Chef has a tremendous knowledge of his ingredients and he takes everything he cooks up several levels to deliver fantastic flavors in each dish. All in all another wonderful experience at Monarch Prime and Bar!

Everything about this was amazing. It was so good that we came back for lunch the next day. The value cannot be beat and the chef is a genius. I've eaten 2 Michelin star food and the best restaurants all over the world and this quality is extremely high. The decor and silverware and plating has all also been carefully thought out. I'll be eating here again every time I'm in town. I'm also adding this review to Yelp.

I loved the reno from the old space. The food was divine! The blue cheese and kale is a MUST!!!
My only complaint was that instead of bringing a new wine glass or small single carafe of wine with our additional glass of wine, he brought the bottle and poured directly into a glass on the table- unfortunately was poured into a glass with a different wine!!!! It was an expensive and unfortunate mistake that he did nothing to correct.
Otherwise, we will he back to try other things on the menu.

We arrived and the restaurant was nearly empty. We were to be seated in the back near the restroom and one of us were to share a couch with another couple. There were several open tables with seating for two. We do not like the shared seating. Seems like we were at a breakfast at holiday inn express.

The waitress was very good and help save the night. She recommended a great bourbon.

This was our second time at the restaurant before going to a show at the Orpheum. The first time the waiter went out if his way and even had our pickup parked. This time we were told that they would not park an F150.

Overall not a good experience.

The food here is very good. We've been here 2x now and both times went with 5-course Chef's selection. This basically is 5 courses of whatever the Chef wants to make for that hour or your group. It truly gave us an opportunity to try and be pleasantly surprised by some food that we would not have ordered for ourselves normally. This time we did a wine pairing and we should have done the wine pairing the first time too. It truly enhanced the overall experience.

The last time we were here, all was amazing. This time there were a few discrepancies. The music was really too loud. We were in a private booth, but it was still a bit difficult to hear each other. Our server should have been more knowledgeable about what was happening both in the kitchen and in the bar. She didn't seem to know the menu at all. We had to open the menu and point at everything we had ordered. Still, the food was amazing and we will most likely be back.

I think we ordered the wrong thing. We were excited to have found a "Thanksgiving-inspired" pre fixe turkey dinner for Thanksgiving. The space, decor, tableware were charming and sophisticated. Our server seemed upset to be working on the holiday, told a couple of odd stories, and reached over us uncomfortably a couple of times. The food here was trendy, often good, but sometimes totally puzzling, as in the nearly raw smoked carrots served with farro drowning in an overly sweet tomato aspic sauce reminiscent of canned baked beans... (fortunately I love baked beans.) In each course, there was something delicious, but I didn't really get it as a whole. The local mushrooms were amazing, but an afterthought served with heavily battered tempura green beans. Flavors were bold, but sometimes that meant a cranberry sauce that tasted more of mustard and vinegar than anything else. (My bf loved it, but the cranberry definitely took the backseat.) It was all a great idea, and we were happy to eat turkey on Thanksgiving, but the people next to us ordering beef off the menu seemed to have a much better time. I would recommend this place if you are looking to enjoy the artsy but sophisticated, colorful but elegant vibe.

We were visiting Omaha and it was suggested we try Monarch Prime instead of Omaha Prime. The restaurant is cool and funky but the Service and Food was just not good. A few of the appetizers were tasty but they were all very small. A few of us decided to try the Filet Tomahawk and were very let down. The meat was very chewy, not tender. Service was abysmal. It pains me to write this, but felt this is why Open Table asks for reviews.
