You won’t want to miss the two-level Soho outpost of this popular Upper West Side and Chelsea Japanese restaurant — with a 12-seat sushi bar, cocktails on the ground floor, and a plush dining room overlooking St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral upstairs. The fish and shellfish selection is unusually large, the kaiseki menu is imaginative, and the kitchen turns out everything from miso black cod to crispy duck.

    Not recommended. Service was so bad I could not believe it. Food was mediocre and the staff was throwing out garbage and cleaning while customers are finishing dinner in nyc at 10:30 pm. Never would recommend.

    The service here was really good despite them rushing to set up for a crowded Mother’s Day. I would say my only complaint was that the tables were really small, especially if getting the Bento and Momoya Boxes. I was shocked at how good the molten Matcha French toast tasted, very tasty, a bit pricy but you pay for the experience. Regardless, I would still rate this five stars!

    Food was good, but came out way too quickly. It was supposed to be a dinner to enjoy with friends I haven’t seen in a while but in the beginning it felt like we were being pushed out.

    Went for brunch and had a good time. They were quick to seat us and greet us. We wanted a light brunch so ordered the soba soufflé pancakes which were unique, a little eggy taste on the pancakes for me personally but still good with the white chocolate cream sauce. We also had the salmon carpaccio which was light and delicious and the spicy tuna rice crisp which was amazing! Had a great time would want to come back to try more of the menu!!

    The food was out of this world! I would suggest making reservations from 5pm on because that’s when they start seating on the second level which is much nicer and prettier. Our waitress was friendly and very helpful with her suggestions of food since it was our first time eating there. YES a bit pricier than other places BUT the food is above average so in my opinion it compensates. The only complaint I would have is they there’s no open bar lol but they serve wine which saved my day :)
