Good food, no noise, good vibe, and the waiter was amazing
Great good. Great time!
Food and service are great as always. The most delicious and authentic Japanese restaurant on upper east side. My favorite is mini-course with Shabushabu. The beef is juicy and veggies are fresh. Definitely coming back soon.
Momokawa has very high-quality sushi for a reasonable price. My wife and I had the Omakase. My daughter the Waygu steak that was excellent too. Momokawa also has a nice sake list - we had two bottles. Definitely a go-too place for excellent Japanese food at the right price.
Bathrooms require updating
Was highly recommended but mediocre food, overpriced and slovenly service. Do not sit in the front of this establishment in cold weather. Will not return as there are much better choices.
The sushi is beautifully prepared with fresh fish. The hot dishes were delicious.
Meat was thick and low quality it was also thick
Really wanted to like this place
Shabu Tatsu remains the best
Food and service were excellent. Sukiyaki was terrific as was the sushi and appetizers. Everything about our experience made it a wonderful dinner.
Wonderful dinner. Had the Hamachi Kama entree… amazing. Was there during happy hour. The happy hour sake was “Oishikatta”! Service was great too!
One of finest sushi experiences anywhere. Japanese staff. Superb fish. Best Agedashi tofu appetizer. Somewhat of a hole in the wall but a brilliant Japanese restaurant. They also feature Shaba Shaba which we are eager to try next time.
good was pretty mediocre. service was good but only 1 server for the entire restaurant during lunch.
Server so rude
I’ve been this restaurant 4 times. This is my worst experience. I think they change the beef. I ordered the wagyu beef but it taste like the cheapest beef I bought in Walmart.
Food was definitely not as good as the online pictures looked. The entrée portions are the same size as the appetizer portions. In my opinion the food didn’t have much flavorAlthough the quality of fish was good.
Mie Okuda-SAN’s food is very tasty and healthy! We had three shabushabu of different flavors. They were the best I’ve ever had in the US. Will definitely recommend and will definitely go again!
Cozy and delicious- definitely one of a kind Japanese restaurant!
Nice Sukiyaki with rib-eye beef
Fish of our assorted sushi $31 and our assorted sushi/sashimi combo $37 was fresh, staff very attentive, good covid precautions. Yuzu cocktail delicious $12. Hit the spot for a sushi craving on a hot day!
The Agedashi Tofu, Akadashi-Miso Soup, Shrimp Shumai, and the Sushi with rock shrimp are all delicious. Their green tea icecream with red beans and hot chocolate are great desserts. I honestly wish they had more variety on their menu. I am not to crazy about their fish entrees.
Always amazing food. I can’t think is a better Japanese place in Nyc which has authentic sukiyaki. Been going here at its previous location as well.
Fantastic neighborhood find! The agedashi tofu is a must try- light and delicious. We each got the dinner Sashimi bowl over rice- fantastic- large pieces of sashimi over deliciously cooked rice. The serving was really large and an excellent deal at $31.00. Service is excellent. Will become a weekly stop I am sure.
Great shabu shabu, excellent service and fresh sushi. We had a great time.
The Sukiyaki is a top notch experience and would highly recommend anybody to come try it.
ordered the wagyu beef doesn’t taste that good
If you want sushi, get the set sushi which they are organized to do and is very good. Do not get al a carte sushi which they are not prepared to do and can disappoint.
Omakase was expertly prepared with a varied selection. Presentation was artistic. Selections were fresh. Server was extremely friendly and helpful. All in all well worth a return visit.
Great lunch spot, amazing sushi!
The foods we had was great.
The staff was very courteous and the experience was a delight.
Great variety and quality of sushi, sashimi, and other favorites. Excellent Saki menu.
Their seared yellowtail salad was really good; so was Agedashi-tofu. However, I did not enjoy clam ramen at all, which, to me, was too salty and the noodle was doughy. In retrospect, I should've ordered sushi or shabushabu instead. The service was good. Overall, I was a bit disappointed, although my expectation may have been too high.
Great! Shabu shabu is really good
Desert is also amazing
Amazing real Japanese style restaurant
Most of the people were having hot pot, so it must be good; however, we made a mistake of ordering "omakase" sushi at a table: both fish and rice were dry, and thought that it was not worth $65. We would come back for hot pot, though.
A great addition to our neighborhood. I appreciate the authenticity and creativity of the food. The staff were very polite and accommodating.
