At this second location, David Chang rethinks his iconic noodle shop. The Columbus Circle Noodle Bar serves a constantly changing roster of noodles, steamed breads made in-house, soft serve, and daily dishes, in a sleek wood-accented space. Bar-wise, there’s a full selection of beer, wine, sake, and cocktails, with a focus on highballs. Stop by for a quick bite at the kitchen counter, or book the private dining room for a celebratory event.

Noodle Bar Uptown accepts reservations 30 days in advance starting at 10 am. Although making a reservation is recommended, walk-ins are welcome and can be accommodated at the bar or at tables if space permits.

Our Whole Roasted Duck Ssäm feast originally hit the menu at Ssäm Bar in the East Village back in 2011. As we celebrate 20 years of Momofuku, we’ve revived this fan-favorite large format and are now offering it alongside our bo ssäm at Noodle Bar Uptown. The Whole Roasted Duck Ssäm meal includes one whole dry-aged, roasted duck stuffed with duck and pork sausage. It’s served over duck fat rice with confit duck legs and comes with scallion pancakes, lettuce wraps, hoisin, Korean-style barbeque sauce and crispy shallots. This meal serves 4 – 6 people. It is $225, exclusive of any additional a la carte food or beverage, tax, or gratuity. Reservations are offered at dinner at 6pm and 8pm.

The prix fixe lunch deal is a bargain ( even though they failed to give us the included chocolate cookie) Brussels sprouts, steamed buns with pork cheek and with shrimp patty were outstanding. Best was the ginger scallion noodle ramen. Yum!

The Smokey pork ramen was way too salty, it drowned out the other flavors. The cookies were also too sweet. My friends ramen had a tiny piece of plastic in it. At least they comped us that bowl and gave us the cookies

This visit a friend & I tried the vegetarian bowls of noodles and tuna hand rolls. Both were tasty and more than ample servings . I am from San Francisco where we also have an abundance of Asian fusion restaurants which I have yet to experience that David Chang’s offerings in NY have exceeded.

We were sat quickly, server and staff worked together to make sure us and other guests were okay. Negatives food was just okay. Over all not a memorable experience probably won’t be back.
