Nice place, nice service...good food. Disappointed in iced tea...in taste and cost.
Overall tho, glad to have Momo near me
A great evening with friends celebrating a 30th birthday. Food was family style, and the wine paired nicely. Thanks for a great evening!
Awesome addition to the Momofuku chain. Brisket with cucumber and yuzu was incredible
We had a great meal and the service was great. It was a HOT day and the AC was pumping.
There were so many wonderful, flavorful, combinations. The Endive Salad was so savory - hard to believe there was no meat in it!
After eating here and a misunderstanding in the bill occurred I wrote a complaint and immediately received a message from Anna Utevsky.
She apologised and offered to give me a refund. We were on holiday in New York and were travelling back to Australia so a refund was not going to be possible as we paid cash.
Anna then spent over a month organising a gift card at Momofoku in Sydney. She went above and beyond to make sure we had an enjoyable experience and her customer service was exceptional! 10/10
An amazing Italian restaurant revisited with Japanese influences.
The sourdough focaccia with burrata and bottarga Is a must have.
We also had pasta with ceci e pepe, really delicious and we'll balanced.
Ambiance was great, and low noise level allowed private conversations. Service was very cordial.
Highly recommended of you want to try a culinary experience!
Food was great per usual. Really enjoyed the vegetarian pasta tasting and Erik provided great service and wine pairing descriptions
The food was absolutely delicious and the wine paired to perfection. We also had wonderful service; our waitress could not have been more helpful when recommending wine and select dishes that would pair accordingly. Overall we had a wonderful evening filled with delicious pastas, fresh salad/green and yummy wine.
Nishi had delicious and innovative food. The space was a bit narrow, but what you would expect from a Japanese style pub. I sat at the bar and wad very confortable and the staff were really friendly and received great service. All in all very enjoyable.
Small shareable plates that are amazing. My wife and I had the peaches and they were great. We had the blue oyster pasta next. It was very fresh and great. The pork chop was next. I am not exaggerating by saying it was the best pork chop I ever had. We finished with the pistachio bundt cake. It was good, but for sure. This place is all about the starters, pasta, and meat
Pastas were generally ok. Desserts were not.
Nishi has become a comfortable place to enjoy interesting, well-prepared food. It's not as experimental as it was, and the seating is now traditional. But many of the favorites from the early days are still on the menu, and everything is prepared with care.
Nick and the team do an awesome job. Highly, highly recommend.
The team at Nishi is EXCEPTIONAL from Anna (the new and lovely manager) to Walter (supporting Anna and delightfully engaging and welcoming guests) to the EXTRAORDINARY Vinny who commands the bar with AMAZING cocktails and words of wisdom and interesting ideas to ponder. And then there IS the food!! The food, the food, the food!!! Nick....BRAVO!!! You bring creativity, deliciousness, and humility to an EXCEPTIONAL level - we LOVE Momofuku Nishi!!
We both had the Cacio Pepe, which was outstanding! I’ve been here before for Restaurant Week and had the gem salad, which was delicious. Service, as always, was
wonderful. Very attentive but not intrusive at all. A neighborhood gem!
Hair in our food. Refined all experience unfortunately
Food was okay, but pretty unmemorable. Expected more from the Momofuku franchise.
I was there with my husband for our anniversary. I told the waiter I am pregnant so I cannot have any alcohol or raw items. We had the pasta tasting menu which was great, however at the end of the meal for the dessert, another person gave us our dessert, the cherry tiramisu but what I didn't know there was alcohol in it when I had specifically had mentioned that I am not allowed to have any alcohol. Until I asked she told me there was vermouth in it and took it away. She gave us a pistachio bundt slice as something extra for our special day as I told her I was not able to have the cherry tiramisu. However, I felt since we paid for the tasting menu, I felt like she should have given me something else when she took away the tiramisu.
We were in NYC for a long weekend and this was a perfect send off dinner. We did the pasta tasting and it was a delicious and delightful experience. Pasta with an interesting twist!
This was a great spot for brunch and catching up with friends. The burger was delicious.
The egg crespelle is my favorite brunch dish !! So excellent!! Loved the pistachio bundt cake, too...
There was a very annoying manager who interrupted our conversation to lecture us about the evils of making two reservations for 4 at the same time. We did it the night prior when we couldn’t book 8.
Honestly, I didn’t care for the pasta. It was overly salty and most definitely not al dente. Italians- stay away:)
The salad and fish, on the other hand, were quite good.
The sourdough focaccia and beef brisket were incredible and I highly recommend them. I do have to say the Campanelle was pretty disappointing-- supposedly contains crab and old bay but neither was detectable; it just had a general fishy flavor and tasted vaguely like nutmeg. No actual pieces of crab meat.
Another great Momofuku experience. Both the food and the cocktails were delicious and very reasonably priced. We had the Hiramasa for an appetizer followed by the Bucatini and Campanelle. Then strolled a few doors down to Milk for some sweet treats.
If you’re looking for an intimate place to have a conversation - this is not it. A busy night with all the hard surfaces and close tables made for a fairly loud dinner. I know way too much about the couple sitting beside us now.
Consistently wonderful food! Gem salad, bucatini pasta and yellowtail ceviche are must haves!
I ordered a salad which came dripping in a dressing that was predominantly melted butter. The salad was way too heavy and became increasingly unappetizing as the dressing cooled and congealed into a giant mass of butter. My friends hamburger looked similarly soggy and overburdened with rich and greasy sauces.
Great meal in beautiful compact space. In addition to our knowledgeable, funny, never overbearing waiter, we had a near-perfect salad experience with their Gem salad: deceptively simple, dressed just enough in a light lemon vinaigrette, topped with soft grated Pecorino and fresh toasted sunflower seeds. The peach salad was also perfect in its simplicity: slices of white and yellow fruit with an unexpected umami counterpoint of the perilla leaves in a salty hazelnut-oil infused broth. Tagliatelle with porkskin and tilefish special were both well-executed with good flavor balance and texture. Special nod to the Penicillin and Naked & Famous cocktails that were appreciated and enjoyed by all.
Nice lunch. The salad was really well dressed. The soft shell crab was nice but a little heavy with oil. May be that the oil temp was not right. The raw fish app was nice. Pasta with crab was way too salty. I realize that old bay is in there, but wow...that is a lot of salt. The vanilla frozen mouse was ok. Good meal, but I expected more after all the other great Momofuku experiences.
Great experience, great service, excellent endive! Enjoyed dining solo here and had a great meal. The tagliatelle was good, not my favorite overall, but the endive is a must try and everything served looked delicious overall!
Came for brunch and though it was busy, service was excellent! Our server was sure to point out her favorites and make sure we ordered enough for the two of us.
I am a long time fan of the brown butter black truffle pancakes, which this time were a little lackluster. They seemed slightly less sweet than usual, though the texture was still spot on.
We were late for our reservation but they were very accommodating and were still able to seat us. We sat at the bar and our bartender Vinny was very knowledgeable and helped us pair wine with our dinner. We got the Campanelle and the Tagliatelle, and I can safely say the Campanelle was one of the best dishes I've ever had in my life! We had a wonderful time!
I had to make a couple of adjustments to our booking outside of OT, and, the 2 Reservationist I spoke with couldn’t have been more friendly, accommodating, and basically made the process stress free. And, of course, the food was amazing!
Expected great things, and the food lived up to it; the service, wine list, and creativity of the items on the menu (peach and brisket, in particular) exceeded expectations
There were 6 of us and we ordered 5 different entrees to share. We all loved every selection. The service was excellent too!
Overpriced average food.
Scallop Crudo was unimpressive. However, the pasta is phenomenal and definitely the best brisket I’ve ever had. Will be back for the pasta tasting.
Had the pasta tasting. It was delicious and had a few interesting twists. Service was very attentive. Would love to go again!
I adore the other Momofukus, and although the food at Nishi was solidly good, the experience was not overall spectacular.
