The food and service was amazing. Totally worth it for a special occasion. Better than 11 Madison park and other similar spots IMHO.

A special unique restaurant offering multiple courses of outstanding food and wonderful service. Interesting that there is nothing commercial about the outside or inside décor, lots of black with wood accents. Only very special wines and a huge selection priced accordingly. You will have a dining experience that you will remember for a long time and you'll pay for it. The counter seating was roomy and comfortable and a great view of the food preparation.

This is one of the best experience I've ever had at a restaurant. The counter seating is such an enjoyable experience, talking with the chefs, learning about the ingredients, and the staff (and chefs as well) as so nice and enjoyable.

The food is amazing as well. 3 hours of dishes after dish of palate pushing delights. You'll see innovative plays on things you've had in the past (puff pastries and filling meant to resemble your favorite childhood chips and their innovative play on chicken nuggets) and dishes and ingredients you likely never have tried.

This was an expensive meal for my date and I, but the experience is something I'll speak about for years to come.

Recommend 10/10.

Ko continues on its fabulous trajectory. Food is inventive, surprising, but not excessive. It’s always a special occasion to eat here. As an older guest, however, sitting next to the speakers for the music, was a bit of a trial for me conversationally.

Such a wonderful experience, the food was truly top notch. It's such a great experience at the counter where you can watch the chef's do their magic. The chef's actually present courses to you and explain the dishes, it's amazing! Every dish was wonderful, and we had an amazing non-alcoholic beverage pairing that was truly a delight. It was the best beverage pairing I've ever had the pleasure of partaking in (pregnant girl problems). We went to another Michelin star restaurant the same week and their non alcoholic beverage pairing was nothing in comparison. Unique, truly suited to the dish and each one was so different. I really can't say enough about this restaurant experience, I'll never forget it. I just wish it was in my state!

One of the best meal's I've ever had, but also the most expensive. We did the full tasting menu, which is some 15 odd courses and left very satisfied and VERY full (don't have a big lunch before hand!)

What a wonderful way to start my eating adventure in NYC. It was a welcomed home for a few hours out of the snow. Perfectly cooked duck, and lightly seared beef were highlights, but the dishes were thoughtful and delicious. My N/A pairing was refreshing and delicious.

Momofuku Ko was amazing as always. While it is very expensive, it’s worth treating yourself! I love not knowing what you’ll be getting and am never disappointed. You definitely have to be adventurous in trying different foods to eat here. Also great wine and cocktails too! I love watching all the chefs work together like a well oiled machine.

I feel so disappointed. The decorations of dishes are extremely bad. The food tastes moderately. Dishes do not show any techni at all. The ingredients of dishes are also moderately. Won’t go back again. It does not at michelin two stars standard at all.

An amazing experience in every way. Everything about it was flawless, from the moment we stepped in the door until the moment we left. It goes without saying that the food was spectacular, but more than that, the service and ambience struck just the right note between formal and casual, the pacing of the meal never felt rushed or too slow, the portions were just right, and I really can't think of anything about the whole meal that I would change. Sitting at the counter and watching the chefs work their magic was an added bonus. It's a thoroughly modern interpretation of fine dining, and it all works beautifully. A meal at Ko is a splurge, but if you're celebrating a special occasion or just looking for an amazing and memorable dining experience, go for it--you won't regret it.

Truly outstanding tasting menu. The dishes are so creative, inspired and innovative. Conventional dishes like a lobster roll, chicken oyster (essentially a chicken nugget), cabbage with duck, lobster bouillabaisse and esp the ko egg were completely reinvented. Other dishes just blew our minds with how creative they were , particularly the Wild rice ice cream. All of the desserts really were just beautifully crafted and balanced. The service is incredible, the staff friendly, so gracious and well informed and chefs were happy to explain a lot of the cooking processes (I’d highly recommend counter seating ). Overall a pricey but wonderful experience.

My girlfriend and I went for the Valentine's special menu and we weren't disappointed.

The ambiance of the place is beautiful, and watching all the chefs do their work in near silence is something to behold. The food is outstanding, unique, and perfect for a special occasion. The service is formal and professional but without being over the top, which is perfect for the style of restaurant that it is.

If I were to make one criticism, it would be around the wines. While they were matched perfectly to the meals (and I know the quality is much more important than quality) I didn't feel that we received the same value for money as we did for the food (as compared to similarly priced restaurants). I'm definitely not looking to get boozy at such a dinner, but it really felt that we would have been potentially happier with a really nice bottle instead of the range of matchings.

Overall though, I can highly recommend!

We went in blind and sort of missed the $195 set menu plus tax and plus service thing. It left a rather giant lump in the throat the days leading to the meal but it disappeared once we entered the door off Extra St (so extra). This place could have been the most pretentious place in Manhattan, however the staff feel relaxed, punky music plays as you sit down in the most comfortable seats known to the human behind. The chefs, all smiling before you are busy preparing you insane delights. Ko's site said 12-15 dishes, maybe we were just lucky but we got 19 dishes including a little secret something to take away. We were politely full by the end. Not too much, not too little. Go for the earliest slot possible else you might have your entire meal ruined by seeing other people's meals sitting across from you. It was expensive as hell, but you know what, every penny was worth it.
