   My husband and I dined at Momento recently to celebrate his birthday. We arrived an hour early for our reservation and the hostess seated us at the bar to wait. While seated there we observed two empty 2 tops in the dining room. We assumed they were reserved and the parties would show up soon. An hour later we were seated at one of the 2 tops that had remained empty the whole time we were at the bar. I can only assume they wanted us to spend some extra money on drinks at the bar. We chatted at our table for 20 minutes before another server asked if we’d been helped. No one had even come by to fill our water glasses. Finally our server showed up to read the specials off her pad. She seemed in a hurry, barely looked at us and was not friendly. It took another half hour for our appetizer to arrive and it was just ok. We had the clams in garlic butter sauce. Not sure what kind of clams they were, but they were the smallest clams I’ve ever seen. After being in our seats for an hour and a half our entrees were served. My husband ordered the veal ravioli and I had pork belly. I was hoping the food would save the night but unfortunately that didn’t happen. We both found our meals to be extremely salty! We weren’t able to share that with anyone though because no one (neither the manager or our server) ever came to check on us. The whole experience was very disappointing. A certain level of service and quality is expected from a restaurant at that price point and they did not deliver. We won’t be going back. March 28, 2023 UPDATE The restaurant contacted me about my review. Their cordial response leads me to believe our experience might have been an anomaly, but they handled the situation with grace and have restored my interest in visiting again. We will be going back again soon!

   This restaurant could hold its own in ANY major City. What a blessing to have it in Stroudsburg. Many thanks to the staff for really caring to bring a dining experience to the people . We were visiting from out of town and wanted real food and found it. Thank God, we needed it last night. Much thanks! We’ll be back :)

   From the greeting by name at the door you knew you were at a special place! The chef’s specials were excellent! The service was very good even though the staff struggled at times with a large number of guests. One large table was very noisy but settled once there dinner was served. We go often and I think this was the best dinner so far! We will be back again soon.

   This is one of the best meals I have ever had the Caesar salad was on point perfect amount of garlic, and Parmesan. The Bronzino was amazing. Tommy was a great bartender. Cocktails were perfect and the chocolate mousse and espresso end of the meal perfectly. I will definitely be back. Thank you.

    Food is always top notch thanks to Chef Nicola and our server Dominque (I apologize for spelling) was fantastic, attentive and super friendly. We are regulars at Momento and every time we go we are reminded why. 10 out of 10.

    Always a pleasure to dine at Momentos! There was a really festive vibe the minute we walked in on Valentine's Day. The food was delicious; the escargot was especially amazing. All the servers were in the spirit making the whole night fun. We love this restaurant anytime, but it's really great on Valentine,s day!

    We were staying at Camelback resort, about 15 minutes away, and drove to Momento on a recommendation. It was well worth it! Our server, Karen, was delightful and knowledgeable. The food choices were fantastic and freshly prepared. The Brie filled polenta and chicken Parmesan were outstanding! Would definitely recommend to anyone - especially if your other option is the food at Camelback

    . Service was not good to start. Waited about 10 minutes before we got water or waitress. Once we had service, it was pretty smooth. Great food, but a tad overpriced in my opinion. But worth going, and I’ll go back.

    Excellent Italian food, but very pricy. The homemade pasta is excellent, but add in a $4-00 surcharge for homemade pasta. I had mixed seafood with pasta, and the price of $34.00 is t bad, until you consider that they give you 3 medium sized shrimp with about a dozen or so mussels and clams. It’s all all’s carte, so my Caesar salad was an additional $13.00. My wife had seafood with pasta for $25.00, her salad was $16.00, and her glas of wine. $120.00 includes the tip. Great food, but not generous portions, and pricy. I will continue to return, but not too often, since you can easily go broke coming here too much.

    Our Waitress a young lady was outstanding, while manager / owner she was kind of ok. Food overall good maybe little bit on the salty side. Great the spaghetti meatballs for my son and really nice the butter in the begging. My wife mushroom soup was good my filet mignon overpowered of sauces . To be honest I will go back when in the Poconos even because there is no much better choice over there a good surprise overall

    This restaurant makes me so happy. We haven’t been here since last summer and were eagerly anticipating our return. The food was as wonderful as ever. I tried the veal tongue for the first time. It will be my new go-to dish. Super tender and flavorful. The accompanying mushrooms and polenta were the perfect complement. My wife’s scallop dish and risotto were great. My daughter’s agnolotti del Plin were just like in the Piedmont of Italy. The service has only gotten better. Our server was outstanding. She was super knowledgeable about the menu and wine list and was very efficient and personable. This is absolutely my favorite place in the Poconos and is right up there with my favorite places in Philadelphia. It is not inexpensive but when compared to restaurants of similar quality (and there aren’t that many around), momento represents a very fair value. Thank you Chef and team for a lovely meal and a great evening.

    Higher prices doesn’t always equate to better experience. When Momento opened many years ago their food and commitment to customers was impeccable however times have changed. If the chef comes out to speak to customers please simply ask everyone if they are ok and walk around. Don’t be selective as if my money is not worth anything to you. And remember your prices should not be higher or just as much as the restaurants in NYC. At least in NY I don’t have to wait 2 hours to be served.

    We enjoyed our visit to Momento and the food. We also had a great server! The only thing I wish could be changed is on opentable that you can choose if you are wanting a chef's course, so the staff is more prepared. Due to that it did take a bit to get seated, but well worth it.

    Mussels are delicious, the endive and Avocado salad is a treat, Calamari with two different dips makes your tase buds say thank you. Ravioli with veal ossobuco ragu is a delight, always try one of the specials, like the White Snapper- Yum - perfectly cooked and accompanied by the freshest butter lettuce salad. Go there with a bunch of people so you can taste everything. LEAVE ROOM FOR DESSERT. Service was more than pleasant and accommodating.
