Great food , amazing view , good service
Extremely disappointing. Went to Molos for my birthday. We were seated at a great table overlooking the skyline, but it all went down hill from there. The food was very mediocre. Everything was salty and the fish was poorly filleted and bony. The service was awful. They did not refill our water once. After we finished our meal we were ignored for a half hour. No one asked us to order dessert or coffee. By the time the waiter came around, and did offer a free dessert, it was too late and we had to leave. This was the most expensive and disappointing meal I’ve had since moving to New Jersey.
My friend and I had the Giant Prawn. There was basically nothing to eat. More shell than meat. No side dish came with it. My husband had the Seafood Risotto.Every time he went to take a forkful every piece of seafood was in a shell. It was such a pain to eat. It was tasty however. The spinach Pilaf was nothing more then large pieces of spinach. Hardly any rice. I thought it would be rice flavored with some spinach. Portions were small. We left hungry. Second time coming. First time disappointed.
This event was a birthday gathering and although it was mentioned a few times, our waiter did not offer or surprise us with the birthday dessert that we watched the table next to us receive. It was very disappointing indeed. For the price, the quantity of food was small and the service was mediocre at best. The quality of food was OK but not a WOW.
The only thing I would come back for is the view of NYC and ambiance.
Amazing View! Lamb chops with sweet mashed potato my favorite dish! It was my first time and i had a great experience. Can't wait to come back!
Nice as always
Very nice place with amazing view of the city. Ok service. Not so great food, at least the meals we had. If you are looking for a memorable experience the food can be overlooked.
View was amazing but the steak that I was served was not good and very tough. Our food came out cold and it had to be sent back to get reheated. For a dish that was $50 it has to at least be better then an Outback Steakhouse cut of meat and unfortunately it was not. I pretty much paid for the view, food was not the highlight of the night.
Very very disappointed in everything
Valentines Day dinner, paid for the food and wine pairing. The wine was never (not once) brought with the appropriate course, we had to keep asking for it. We understand Valentine’s Day is a busy night for restaurants but paying $300 for a 4 course meal and being rushed out in an hour is not memorable experience.
The staff from reception, bartenders, bus, and waiters are exceptional. The menu is excellent and food consistently very good. We love this restaurant and go as often as we can. As we are always delighted with the service and fare.
When we first walked up there was a strong fish scent. However, we tried to give the place the benefit of the doubt and decided to try it anyway. We should’ve left after that red flag! I ordered an $80 bottle of wine; the wine was brought to us so naturally we drank it. However, on the bill I was charged MORE THAN DOUBLE the price of the wine I ordered. When I told the waiter that I was confused he said it was the wine I ordered. It turns out that there was a typo on the menu and the wine I ordered had the same item number as the $235 bottle of wine I was given. When I asked to speak to the manager. He basically said that I had confirmed the wine with the waiter and kept running off. He claimed that he was “just the assistant manager”. Seems like a SCAM to me. Customers shouldn’t have to pay for mistakes of the servers and managers should help the situation. The only good thing about this place was the view! The food was mediocre, the service was trash. The restaurant was no where near being full and yet we waited over an hour for our food. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY at this place. We will not be returning.
Wait was too long. Even for a table (with a reservation) and for the food.
