At Moliceiro we not only celebrate the food and flavours of Portugal, but
also the Portuguese spirit to sit, relax and enjoy the meal.
Our guests return regularly for the comfort of a home-cooked meal and a
friendly atmosphere. We are open for lunch and dinner daily.

Paired with our exceptionally fresh and high quality catering menu, we're sure to make it a memorable night for everyone.
Amazing food !!! Great location!!!
The food was excellent. Very well prepared and presented. Informed server. Comfortable chairs.
It was ok. My cod was over cooked and a bit dry, it took our server 45 minutes to clear appetizer dishes (he kept bypassing us until I finally directly asked him to clean off dirty empty plates) and there was no lime at the bar, which is bizarre for a fully stocked bar. Gin and tonic came with lemon as my request for lime couldn’t be accommodated.
This is a great find and a neighbourhood gem! Casual, vibrant atmosphere. Feels like mom's cooking in the kitchen - cozy, homecook Portuguese dishes. Love the spicy clams! Shared dishes encourage conversation and exchange of food preferences. Mostly Portuguese wines and some Spanish - good selections! Great value for a wonderful meal! We'll be back!
Fantastic; the food was phenomenal, and the prices we amazing.
The service was great, and we had our bottle of wine within a minute after ordering on a Friday night.
We have found a new place to come back to!
Great home made food! Great service. Definitely would return to try more dishes.
Food was awful - squid, octopus and rapini where almost uneatable
Loved it... Elevated Portuguese and good value. Loved it.
Really pleasant experience- food was great! The fish, perfectly grilled. Highly recommended!
Moliceiro was really cute, the service was great and the value was amazing, the wine was very affordable.
I would definitely recommend this to friends.
Great service. The food was really tasty. I loved the bass but am used to not having a whole fish and found there were too many little bones which were hard to see. My friend who is used to whole fish did not have the same issue. The shrimp appetizer was great. We were going to a play so did not try the desserts.
This was our first time at Moliceiro to celebrate a birthday. I chose it because of the emphasis on Fish in a Portuguese restaurant and it did not disappoint. We had the seafood pasta with piri-piri and the grilled squid. The latter was really tender. We will go back.
An amazing meal! The food and service were fantastic. Ambiance was great. Server was knowledgeable and recommended great apps and wine. The clams and shrimp are must haves. Would come back again!
All four people in our party loved their food. Everything was delicious and portion sizes were good, the atmosphere was lovely, and the noise level was low so we could easily chat and hear one another. We'll be back!
Our clams in a butter sauce were really good, although our mains and dessert were really disappointing. We got chicken piri piri and pasta with shrimps. My pasta was floating in a bath of a mixture of tomato sauce and oil, while the chicken was dry and bland. We got a chocolate mouse dessert to finish, but even that was bland, and unappealing by the look. Service was good and we got the dessert off from the final check.
Amazing meal and outstanding service. Definitely recommend!
I went for the first time last weekend to celebrate my husband's birthday. I loved the place, the food was very tasty and the service was excellent.
The only suggestion I would do is to include more vegetarian options on the menu, I just found two main vegetarian dishes, although the risotto was very good is always nice to have different options to choose.
Good place fare prices, excellent service.
delightful discovery and genuinely like being in Portugal!! Having dined in Lisbon, Porto, on the Azores in the Douro wine region this was a wonderful deja vu experience.
Second time we've been there prior to going to the theatre and the food and service are excellent - all I can say is that you need to try the octopus!
I was expecting a bigger restaurant and live music based on what I had read on line. Very small area, and noisy. The food was good and reasonably priced. I was hoping for a broader menu with more choices outside the typical portuguese entrees that every Portuguese restaurant offers
Outstanding in all aspects of our dining experience. I worked in the restaurant industry for years so I am overly critical. We will definitely be going back and I highly recommend this restaurant!!
Good food and wine list. Good service, friendly, welcoming and attentive. Felt casual and relaxed but still elegant...except for the pop music that was playing. We will return...Hope to hear some fado, jazz or something more conducive to dining next time.
Great vibe, great staff. Chorizo and wine was great
Excellent Portuguese menu. The ameijoas and arroz de marisco were very good. So was the vinho verde Muralhas de Moncao
Beautiful place! Excellent qualities! Food was delicious! Definitely recommend the caldo verde soup & the arroz de marisco! Love the traditional Portuguese decor as well!
Met up with my friend here. Seafood was fresh and portions are great - still had food to take home after. We’re definitely coming back! Thank you for the great experience.
Ambiance in restaurant was cozy and service attentive but food was disappointing. The sea bass was very salty, oily and and not de-boned. Would not recommend.
Excellent service! Great food!
The octopus was great and the house white is excellent.
Its a small, quiet restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. perfect for an early dinner then head into town.
Initial service was poor. After being seated we sat for nearly 15 minutes before being acknowledged by the server. Tables around us were seated after us and drink orders placed before being acknowledged which left a poor first impression. Overall I would still recommend the restaurant and return as the food was good.
Great food. Wonderful piece of cod although the accompanying ragu was quite salty.
Staff were very obliging about letting us switch to another table to be further from the speakers.
Wait service was good with one exception. At the end of our meal our waiter decided to move tables and add another two seater to our table from across the aisle. There were no customers waiting to be seated so why not leave this until we were finished?
It was very authentic and the food atmosphere and presentation was great. My only complaint is they use WAY WAY WAY too much fresh choooed onion. Onion is not meant to be a garnish. They served the most delicious and tender octopus. Spiced and falvoured beautifully. Then garnished with a heap of chopped onion. Had I eaten it, it would have ruined the dish. One fork full was enough to completely throw off the flavor of the seafood and keep me tasting onions for several hours. Same goes with the olives at the beginning of the meal. NO onions!!
I thought itd be more authentic. Bife a casa was pretty good but i was expecting the fries in like chip format. And the cod fish cakes were too fried.
Always a fantastic meal and experience when we go there...look forward to a great meal and over all wonderful time! Will be back again and again!
Amazing food, service and overall experience. Will definitely be eating there again
I went with my husband and son and we were all impressed with the food portions, wine choices and service
what a treat.
we let our server make recommendations and were very pleased.
good prices, portions and quality
the beef ribs are A-One!
the wine recommended was excellent and only $25.
i'll be back in no time.
At this time of year, we would expect ripe tomatoes- tonight they were very unrepentant. Octopus as a main course was not as tender as it should have been. We were not asked how our meal was.
Service was pleasant but not awe-inspiring.,we likely will not return in the future.,
Authentic Portuguese food...perfect. Well done, well served for a reasonably priced. Must go for those who like Portuguese cuisine!!
Amazing Portugese food that reminded me of my trip to Portugal last year. We had the cod cakes to start, then the octopus and short rib entrees w/ a recommended red wine. Everything was delicious. Good value for price paid.
We were the only diners there on Sunday around 7 PM, which was perfect for casual conversation. Service was excellent and very attentive to our needs, though not at all intrusive on our dining experience.
