Named after the Hawaiian word for “island”, Moku will be a gathering spot where anyone from elite foodies, families, or people seeking an authentic taste of Hawaii can swap stories and relax with an ice-cold draft beer, a carafe of wine, and an amazing meal. Everyone will feel a sense of home at Moku Kitchen.
Dinner: 4:30pm - 11:00pm;
Happy Hour: 3:00pm - 5:30pm
The food was great it was just a little noisy and I couldn't really hear my friends when they were talking. The service was ok as our waitress did take a little longer to bring us our water or even place our order.
I typically recommend Moku's for business and casual meals - they never disappoint. Both the food and service is consistently outstanding.
Great food and service! Have dined at Moku’s before and will definitely return.
Okay food and below average service. Arrived 15 minutes early and made to wait 20 minutes for a table that was empty when we arrived. Bar tactic? Waiter was good, cocktail server was rude saying "yeh" whenever she was addressed. And it took forever to get the check. In a word -- MEH!
Fun place, great service great food , just way too noisy!!
LOVE that corn bread!! Ahi entree- FANTASTIC
strawberry pie and Haupia were delicious
Love this place
The music was too loud and the service was slow and unattentive. Food was excellent as always.
Our server was not kind and friendly. But the food was good.
Amazing as alway. The rest of my party are now going to be regular customers.
Waiter very nice but gave us drink we didn’t order and forgot to put in 2 dinners. Most places will comp customers since we had to wait over an hour and others had already finished their meals. Additionally the strawberry pie dessert tasted like cheap cream cheese. Not recommended. Place didn’t seem so busy such that these mistakes should happen
The food was overpriced for the small portions. The mahi sandwich was pathetic when the fish is half the size of the bun and the cost is $20. Big rip-off. Save your money and go to a place that is worth it.
I’m a frequent patron. I usually come at lunch. It’s pretty loud at lunch or at dinner, but food is worth it. I’ve had some pretty good waiters here, but tonight’s waitress was wonderful. Attentive without being over the top. Friendly without sounding fake. Patient. Her service was top notch. My one pet peeve is when waiters forget about you once the food is served. She regularly came to refill our water and check in on us. She made a good meal even better.
Always a great time at Moku. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. We love their food and will return again and again.
Tandoori chicken salad was delicious
The noise level is so LOUD
We ate the menu and wasn’t disappointed!
Enjoyed every dish. The strawberry cream pie topped the meal! 😊
The Duck Tacos were flavorful and each of the three tacos contained a generous amount of tender duck meat. The Squash Ravioli was and delicious and unique. The roasted vegetable pizza was almost perfect in every way (I would have preferred to have more roasted vegetables on it. ) The French fries were crispy and the accompanying mustard sauce was superb. It would be nice to have a few more vegetarian options on the menu, as well as a few more choices for desserts. The live music was excellent, but due to the concrete floors & walls, the acoustics was not the best for enjoying music or conversation. Service was friendly, prompt & professional. Would definitely return and definitely recommend MOKU.
Had to wait 30 minutes past reservation time for seat, but the meal was amazing!
Second time in a week at Moku - love the farm to table approach that delivers great food
Service was excellent. Very accommodating and friendly. Went out of the way to make sure everything was great. Food was delicious, as always. It was a little noisy, but the room is just like that. Since it was a special occaision, they even brought us a piece of pie on the house. Very thoughtful.
Love this place overall. Especially happy hour. It’s tough to have conversations due to noise level but love the ambiance otherwise.
We decided to sit at the bar instead of taking our reserved table. The bar is very pleasant, with a very nice selection of beer on tap. The seats are very comfortable, with full backs. Bartenders were friendly and attentive. Food was very good
A little pricey for lunch but so ONO! Our waitress was awesome...very attentive to our needs!
So noisy and echo-y that we could hardly hear ourselves talk. Good food, though.
Good wine list - good cocktails - large serving sizes. Very lively. Great find!
Delicious as usual. Our server was Megan (who we have had before), was also awesome - food and drinks come out in a timely manner, she is super friendly, and she didn't mind us splitting the check. Happy Hour is a must, and I can't resist ordering ALL of my favorites (truffle fries, coconut corn chowder, and butternut squash raviolis.
Enjoyed the open atmosphere in the restaurant. It was a nice casual place to meet friends, very relaxing. The food and service was great too.
Amazing night. The special Mai Tai with lilikoi foam was great. The salad with beats, bacon and goat cheese was so fresh with a really nice dressing. The corn chowder with a coconut broth was so flavorful- not sure they needed the kale with it. Had the fish tacos made with ahi which was pretty good but nothing special. Was too full for the dessert so I took home the strawberry cream pie and it was delicious. Our waitress was very personable and answered all of our questions.
The food (love those poke tacos), drinks (watch out for those mai tais), service(everyone is sooo nice and on top of it), live music(you can hear it in the bathrooms, luv it) and ambiance has made Mokus my new favorite place!!
Great addition to Honolulu.
We liked it for lunch and we came back again for dinner
The area is nice to walk around after dinner the mac nut chocolate cream pie was great for dessert!
Duck tacos were way too hot/spicy- couldn’t enjoy them. Fish tacos were dry. Saimin blah. Noise level along with the guitar player & singer was too loud. Couldn’t enjoy my conversation. This was my second time here and still wasn’t impressed.
We found the food and service to be above and beyond our expectations! Potato tacos, prime rib pizza, delicious! The only downside was being seated near the employees after work booth. We sat during happy hour, the restaurant wasn't to capacity and yet we had a front row view of all employees getting off, eating, drinking in their uniforms and getting more attention from the wait staff then we were. It did not diminish our celebration; however, it was a bit annoying.
Overpriced drinks. Limited options on appetizers, entrees and desserts. Overrated on Yelp.
Jeffrey was wonderful and an enjoyable experience for my out of town guest visiting Hawaii for the first time.
First time ordering the garlic truffle fries and lobster deviled eggs. Fries were over deep fried and the deviled eggs were too salty and drippy.
All other items on the menu that I’d ordered and tried in my previous visits were very good and delish, tasty......all of the salads, beef sandwich, green beans, pizzas, fish tacos, duck, and can’t remember a few others.
The music sound level, actually, was good, compared to the previous visits where it was competing with the crowd noise level. Was the lack of properly good acoustics designed on purpose?🤔
We came to your restaurant to hear our grandniece sing. We couldn't hear due to loud noises among guest and sound system. Poor sound.
I have been here twice this summer and I just love everything about this place.
Great date night spot. Never have had a meal I walked away regretting going there. I recommend this place to everyone new to the island or anyone who has never went. Cool vibe too.
Food was delicious as always. The disappointing part of the evening was our server. I asked to order four orders of fries with our meal- as there were four adults and two toddlers and none of us had eaten in the last 5-6 hour. The server told me it was way too much food and she’d bring us three because the portion was so large... I reminded her I’ve been eating at this restaurant since it opened- I know how big the fries are, please bring four. She brought three and said she’d bring a fourth later. We polished off the three bowls, and she never brought the fourth order. At the end of the meal she said “wow, you did eat three!”
She also felt the the need to point out how strong the drinks are and maybe the parents didn’t need a second round... I’d like to point out that we adults are all almost 40 years old and know how to have a drink with a meal.
Thank goodness I love the food so much that even the worst and most rude service would still keep me coming back.
Great food. Attentive waitperson. Appreciate the outdoor seating. Can be a bit noisy inside.
