Moku Kitchen is a chef-driven concept that brings Hawaii’s rich upcountry farming and ranching heritage to downtown Honolulu’s urban lifestyle. The upcountry way of life echoes a simpler time where food was locally-sourced and cooked over an open fire on the ranch. At Moku, we like to keep things simple and will serve Chef Peter Merriman’s twist on upcountry specials from our lively rotisserie oven.
Named after the Hawaiian word for “island”, Moku will be a gathering spot where anyone from elite foodies, families, or people seeking an authentic taste of Hawaii can swap stories and relax with an ice-cold draft beer, a carafe of wine, and an amazing meal. Everyone will feel a sense of home at Moku Kitchen.
Great experience once again. Food was great and the staff was very accommodating. Will be coming back time and time again.
Kyle was an awesome waiter!!
Really good overall. Location a bit far from Waikiki hotels but enjoyable. Pie was great!
Food was great happy hour even better
Great food and service but not conducive to an intimate conversation-very loud.
This place is awesome. The food never disappoints. We shared the duck, jalapeño mash potatoes, and corn bread. All were excellent and came really quickly after ordering.
Really loved the server that made balloons! It was a hit for the kids at our table and they loved it.
love their maitais and food was great! My husband and I ordered the corn chowder (theee best chowder!!!), duck tacos, and pizza.
Downer: we made reservations but weren’t seated til 20 mins after our reservation time. we even arrived early!
Food was great! Service was great!! What more do you want?
Delish food. Drinks are pricey even during happy hour.
We visited recently for Happy Hour. The food options were terrific and everyone loved their choices. The prices were great, too. The mixed drinks weren't great but the wine list provided a second chance to impress. We'll be back.
Had the green beans, kalua pork pizza, and duck tacos. All were delicious!
Food was excellent. Service from the Ben. He was a alright waiter. I’ve had betters one. I wish he was a bit more attentive, and bit more nicer . I’ve seen other people get helped more then me . Other thing everything was great
Great service from our server Benjamin.
Sadly overrated. Chicken wings were bloody and almost raw. Poor management. Won’t come back again. It’s a shMe
Great food and the craft cocktails are outstanding
Great food and times
The ambiance was beaitiful, the food was delicious. The taste I have never experienced.
Ran out of food. Didn’t say until waiting a long time. Got orders for food that was no longer available.
Held all the food until those entries were ready so the rest of the tables food was Luke warm. The table next to us that was with us in our group had eaten and paid before our food came out
Great food! We’ll be going again before we leave just for the corn chowder and corn bread!!
The food was solid, the steak ordered medium rare came
Medium but my husband ate it anyway as he didn’t have the patience to send it back (slightly pink in the middle surrounded by mostly grey is medium, not medium-rare) . The service was ok but a little inattentive in replacing cutlery and plates. Every “thank you” was met by “of course” but why do we have to wait for forks and knives after the food has arrived? The place was not busy when we were there.
Pet peeve: No salt (or pepper) on the table so we have to request and wait for it each time. I’ve taken to bringing my own supply lately but forgot it that night.
new Year’s lunch.
The saimin was lukewarm and the broth was a bit salty.
The rest of the items came out at good temperatures.
I will not order the saimin again.
The cost was too high for the meal and the temperature.
Raw veggies in the broth did not cook at all.
It would've been a perfect visit is they had all the menu items available.
The food is amazing! And Julius is an excellent server, very accommodating and knows the entire menu front to back! We loved our experience here!
Awesome food and service
Holiday celebration for my undergraduate students who worked very hard this semester.
Super friendly service with great happy hour prices and a great selection of food
Good food and a LOT of people. We had great selection of small plates.
We waited over an hour for our food and it was all brought out separately so some got cold while others still didn’t have theirs. There were almost no vegetarian options other than a pizza or a side dish.
It was a very disappointing experience overall and I’m not sure we will come back.
ありがとう！ MASAOKI NAKAJIMA
Always outstanding fresh food. Fish sandwich is excellent. Not dried out like most places. For an island you'd think most chefs would know how to cook fish. Moku's never disappoints!
Awesome food and service
Keoni was an exceptionally gracious wait staff. He was attentive, prompt, efficient, and personable!
