MOKSHA Indian Brasserie

It may have been an “off night” but service was very slow. Also, there was a large birthday party booked that was very loud. Prices a little high but expected for a trendy restaurant. Scallops appetizer was good, entrees just ok. Nothing groundbreaking or different than others.
Moksha has really wonderful Indian food. By far the best we have ever had in South Florida.
The ambiance was modern and welcoming and the service was excellent. There were 4 of us and we shared many dishes and all were delicious.
We will be back soon.
We were four people dining for dinner and the meal and the service were excellent. We shared multiple appetizers beforehand and our entrées consisted of fish and chicken dishes. All were extremely good. We will definitely be back.
The owner was serving. We felt very welcome and taken care of.
Highly recommend! Really nice restaurant with outstanding food!
We thought that Moksha Indian Brasserie was a very pleasant dining experience. The restaurant itself is very attractive and somewhat elegant. The menu choices were plentiful and the food was very tasteful and good. Our servers were pleasant and responsive. We will definitely recommend this Indian Restaurant to our friends, and make a return visit ourselves.
This restaurant is great! Authentic Indian fair; well priced and delicious food. The restaurant manager and our server were very nice. We will definitely be back.
Definitely a good spot and we'll go back. Thought it might be just a tad overpriced, but the service was impeccable and they went out of their way to make you feel welcomed.
Fantastic menu, great variety of dishes....very tasty!!!!
Food was delicious and the service was attentive. Can't wait to go back!
Food was fantastic. Thirds time eating there in the last month. Service was very good as well. Very attentive staff.
Best dishes: chicken tikka masala, chicken tandori, nan wirh olives and cheese. And don’t miss their mango lasi drink.
It can be hard to find restaurants with a nice atmosphere and ambiance but Moksha has that and more. Wonderful options for vegetarians with an overall diverse menu. I tasted four dishes and 2 desserts which were all very tasty and well prepared. I will definitely be back!
Booked reservation via Open Table but it appears we were treated like walkins. Seated near the front door and were told they were full with reservations that night when asked for different table. Then I received an email from Open Table indicating I missed my reservation. I have a credit card bill for over $100 to prove different. What to I gain from using Open Table?
This was our first visit to this restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised. Every aspect of the evening exceeded our expectations.
We ordered butter chicken and vegetable korma with a medium spice. Both were delicious.
Our server, Jay was very attentive and courteous.
The food is excellent; by far the best Indian restaurant in Broward County. My friends and I shared a starter of crab segoo and had entrees as diverse as lamb kebabs and eggplant curry. All delicious. Our only surprise was that the price of a bottle of wine was identical to the price of four glasses, not the usual reduced price per bottle.
Authentic Indian cuisine with a superb menu and excellent service. We sampled both vegetarian and meat dishes, starters and mains, and loved all of them. Will definitely return to try more. I really hope Moksha succeeds - it deserves to - and is a welcome addition to the north Ft. Lauderdale restaurant scene
wow! This was the finest Indian food I have eaten in South Florida! The waiter told us the chef has a Michelin Star, has worked at The French Laundry, and other fine restaurants in NYC. The ambiance was nice, great service, and the restaurant is newly decorated. However, the food deserved the setting and ambiance of a fine restaurant. It will be there one day.
Ravi was our server and he was knowledgable about the menu, was so nice and accommodating, always with a smile. The food was outstanding! We had the vegetable samosas, Vegetable biryani (rice), Chicken Tiki Masala, Chana Pindi (Chick Peas), Tawa Bhindi Masala (Okra), Plain Naan and Garlic Naan.
Every dish was beautiful and flavorful, with great seasoning and a little heat, but not so spicy you could not enjoy it. One thing I did notice is the dishes were not made with much oil. In many other Indian restaurants, there tends to be a ring of oil around the edge of the food. However, there was no oil ring at Moksha, which for health-conscious folks is important!
We do really enjoy Indian food, and cannot wait to return to try other dishes! Thank you, Moksha for a wonderful dinner!
Excellent food and service. Best Indian food in town. Great addition to the neighborhood.
We had a little difficulty all being served at same time, but other than that... it was a good experience and we will definitely go back.
Finally an upscale Indian restaurant that not only meets expectation, it elevates from the crowd.
Had high hopes for this place but it didn't quite match up. The food was good but nothing outstanding. And for $200 for 4 people we were certainly expecting better. The portions were small for the price. This is the only Indian in East Fort Lauderdale but next time we will drive farther for better value.
I would give it 5 stars but I believe that Indian food needs complimentary bread. A $3 charge for a piece of bread when everything is delivered with a sauce seems unreasonable
Very loud. Service needs some work. We will come back and recommend to our friends. Food was great and the staff very pleasant.
Pleasantly surprised to find an excellent Indian Restaurant nearby, with excellent food.
Authentic fresh spices make every dish unique. Not your standard fare for "American Indian" Restaurants. Even those items that are called by the standard names are unique. I would call this Fusion... They use local ingredients with fine Indian Spicing and cooking techniques. YUM!!!
I Shall Return.
We liked our experience at Moksha but were hoping to love it. The food was good, not outstanding. The wine list is unimpressive. The service was good. Folks are wanting good Indian food in this area and the place was busy. It is very noisy. Some soundproofing is needed. Hoping to go back for lunch when perhaps not so busy and noisy.
Good. Thank you
Outstanding food and service. Will definitely return.
We booked an 8pm reservation. When we walked in they asked if we had a reservation and we replied yes. No name confirmation or anything further. A male employee said they would be clearing our table soon and we could visit the bar if we liked.
40 minutes later they seated a party of 6 that did not have a reservation in front of our party of four.
Service at the bar was horrible. We had three different employees ask what we would like to drink before we were able to get two glasses of wine.
My impression is that they were very busy and more so very disorganized.
After 50 minutes of waiting for our reservation we left. I can only imagine how slow the food service would have been.
While it is impressive how busy they were, my guess is that it will be short lived with this type of service and attention to detail.
Based on the way we were handled, it is unlikely that we will return to try again.
The food was amazing! However, they were very over booked. They sat us at a table and it took forever to get a menu. Not sure if I would go back.
Attractive dining room with good, but hovering, service. Food however was disappointing. Both fish and meat courses were terribly over-cooked and appeared to be reheated. Seasoning was accurate but the dry texture of the food was not what we expected.
Not a fan of Indian food, however this was delicious food with attentive service in a modern setting. The scallop appetizer and the nan bread was excellent. And the Moksha feast offered a sampling of three chicken dishes, shrimp and lamb chops with great white rice. Will definitely return.
Amazing lunch for two on Sunday afternoon! Best Indian food we've had - ever...Fresh, clean and contemporary setting, attentive and helpful service. Generous glass of cold, refreshing white wine (great wine selection). Food incredible - extremely flavorful and prepared to perfection, with extensive selection. Beautiful tableware and plating. Server recommendations spot on - we had "scallops moilee" (outstanding) and samosas to start, and shared the "Moksha Feast" sampler (super choice to try a variety of items). We finished with a shared Paan ice cream that was a new and amazing taste discovery (we agreed that next visit we each need our own serving!) A must must must place to experience. We will be back, and were sure to grab a take out menu...
Everything went really well from start to finish. It was our first visit; we’ll certainly go again.
Awesome food and service. We really enjoyed it and can not wait to go back.
Have been looking for an INDIAN food replacement since we relocated to Florida. Noticed hot and new Moksha and booked it. Located just before the bridge heading into Ft Laudderdale Moksha is easy to get to and parking was easy. Beautiful, calm decor welcomes you and Our server Jay was great. Imagine how impressed we were to learn our chef has a Michelin star for his restaurant Tamarind, in NY. Beautiful presentation, scallop app was amazing, and signature lobster dish was outstanding. I would have liked a place for my handbag, and a slightly larger table to manage our dishes, but for really elegant, elevated Indian food, Moksha is a new go to for us.
The atmosphere had a bit of sophistication. The food and service was excellent. Very friendly staff.
We were pleasantly surprised by this new neighborhood gem of a restaurant! Great food, great service, good wine list and a staff knowledgeable enough to help with choices! We have been to Michelin rated Indian restaurants in London and found this to be very very good! We will definitely return!!!!!
The food is excellent - medium spice is pretty spicy. Service was a little too attentive probably because we went early and they weren’t very busy. Either way, we will be back soon - super YUMMY!
The butter chicken was excellent, as was the garlic naan bread. Slightly disappointed in the blandness of the Daal.
