Delicious food and drinks. A bit noisy, but otherwise it was amazing. Highly recommend the short rib taco. Hands down one of the best tacos I’ve ever had.
Really good tacos and some non-TexMex Mexican in north Boulder. I'm not normally a taco guy, but these aere really good. Been there twice in a month.
Has the feel of a neighborhood restaurant, which I like.
Great meals here. Service was excellent. The noise level was high and we couldn't hear each other. I asked the waitress if it would be possible to turn the noise down a little. She was most gracious and did. I could have had even less noise and, as it was, it was enough. Noise, or music, is a big problem for my partner and many of my friends. We have a tendency not to go back to restaurants where you can't hear each other and the music is loud. I hope they take this into consideration. One of the great ambiances of meals for me is the low murmer of other voices filling a room over a good meal. Loud music makes people talk louder then it's just a lot of noise and I can't hear the sound of the delicious food I'm eating or the company I'm with.
Perfect spot afterwork for a quick happy hour. Great food, service and prices.
This is a new neighborhood favorite...very imaginative offerings, excellent value Happy Hour, friendly staff..I took friends recently and they liked it too but unfortunately some of the things on the menu that they ordered were not available and the 2nd choices took a while to get to the table. It is quieter during the weekdays so that may affect the kitchen and service..but overall will be back and recommend highly
Yummy. Yummy, tasty, well prepared and balanced MX!
We came for a bday celebration (something that was noted on the reservation). While the hostess did make mention of this when we first arrived (which was very nice), nothing was said by our waiter and no other mention was made of it during our meal. Service was particularly slow (we come in frequently and it’s typically and we were a little disappointed by this oversight...it would have gone a long way if it had been acknowledged in some small way.
Double date with our best friends. Food is always great but the service is really lacking.
We're surprised and disappointed to hear that. We have always taken pride in providing great service and the feedback that we have gotten has almost always reflected that. We would love to hear more about how you feel our service could improve or maybe about any specific issues that happened when you visited. If you would be willing to share any more feedback with us at mojotaqueria@gmail we would greatly appreciate it! Thanks and have a great day
Just a quick note: I asked for a fresh squeezed orange juice because a person guaranteed it was. Disappointed to find it was not. I suggest educating not only waiters but managers as well. Other than that, we had a good time and loved the food.
Food was tasty and service was pretty good. I'll definitely go back
Great food and margaritas which were not very strong. The lighting is too bright and the music too loud. Would be great to have more sound buffers
Good and healthy, lots of choices. Will go back again.
Awesome! Great new addition to town. Family-friendly. Great food, great service.
Our server was so friendly and helpful and recommended some delicious options. We will be back!
It was our anniversary, and they brought champagne for the four of us at our table. Very sweet and made for an even more celebratory ambiance. Much appreciated!
Could use more meat in the burritos.
The tacos were tasty -if only they had been hot! The tortilla around the fish taco came right out of a refrigerator without being warmed. The tortilla soup was flavorful but just warm.
Typical Mexican fare. My pork green chile soup was super-salty, while my quesadilla was rather bland. Two fellow diners said their food was not as hot (temperature-wise) as they would have liked. Everyone cleaned their plates, however. Service was excellent.
First timer and will be back. Good food and service in a nice atmosphere for a taqueria.
Just average food.
Great Service --- Everyone super friendly!
Loved how you could try all of their different salsas!
We were hoping to find a new great Mexican food restaurant. Unfortunately it slightly missed on a couple items. The house margarita was just okay compared to other places in town. We ordered queso fundido and were disappointed when it came out in a bowl with the consistency of velveeta cheese instead of being grilled on a skillet. I ordered the Arrachera tacos and the meat was not moist at all in comparison to other restaurants that serve these.
Food was good. Margarita’s were excellent! Service was also very good. It was very cold in the restaurant and we had to wear our jackets. We will definitely go back.
What a great addition to the North Boulder dining scene. We have eaten here multiple times and always the food has been outstanding. We are vegetarian and are extremely pleased at the variety and quality of the options. Highly recommend Mojo!
It was a pleasant experience and very convenient (walkable)
Great tacos! They have some good competition in Boulder, but we will certainly be back!
Salsas and tacos were excellent
We have already been to Mojo 3 times in 10 days. By far, our favorite Mexican spot in Boulder. The Elotes are, by far, the best version that I have ever tasted. The portions are generous (holy Burrito the size of my head) and everything...EVERYTHING is delicious. The Pineapple Habañero Marg is not to be missed. The staff is trained and friendly; which, is rare when a new place opens. I will bring my friends and send my friends to Mojo, over and over again. It beats EVERYONE else, in Boulder.
We love it! It really got noisy after 6 p.m. hard to visit with old friends we don’t see very often.
Something off on food. Not nearly as good as lyons.
I sat outside with a friend for lunch here the other day. Behind the foliage we were able to forget we were basically in a parking lot. I ordered the corn salad with added shrimp and it was delicious. My friend had veggie enchiladas and loved it. Everything was fresh and flavorful. We also had the Yerba Mate orange and ginger iced tea and it was refreshing and delicious. Our only disappointment was the too few dessert options though we had their very creamy and not-too-sweet chocolate ice cream.
It's a good thing we had reservations on Saturday night because the restaurant was packed, with people waiting outside, when we arrived at 6:30. Curiously, by 7:30 the place was almost empty. We noticed there were many families dining here so maybe the restaurant, not located downtown, will get an earlier crowd. Or maybe not many have heard it's now open.
Our servers were fast and friendly. I was only able to sample one dish and one cocktail this time around. I had veggie enchiladas with a pork chili sauce. It was flavorful and fresh-tasting probably due to the inclusion of fresh corn kernels. My cocktail, the Paloma I think, was a bit disappointing. It was mostly flavorless.
My husband enjoyed his burrito though it wasn't very spicy, which is how he likes it. His favorite is at Ephraims. Maybe he could've gotten it spicier if he had asked.
The salsas accompanying the chips were varied and delicious.
Excellent food, friendly service, great place. The noise level is high, so it's not a place to have a quiet conversation. But it's a lively spot with great Mexican food, so we'll be back.
Recommend to make reservations.
Made 5pm reservations on a Sunday. Resturant was packed by 6.
The ambiance was lovely, and the service was fine; the problem was that the food just wasn't good.
It was our first time to Mojo, on a recommendation from friends. We were celebrating our 31st anniversary, although we did not mention this to our server Miranda. She was so sweet and gave the best service ever! She brought out drinks and apps, and even offered to give us time to relax and enjoy them before taking our dinner orders. She was new to the restaurant, but had excellent advice, and knowledge about the food, drinks, and menu! I’m really happy she took care of us, because it made the evening perfect! Although, we were stuffed from all the delicious food!
Mojo is a fun, casual, super enjoyable place to eat mostly because the staff and service are so amazing. The food is always hot and delivered quickly. Yucca fries are a must. My third visit to Mojo was the best -- somehow the tacos were better than the first two times (some were slightly "mushy" on my first visits). Mojo is a fun place to go, I was glad I did not give up.
A Mexican restaurant with no cheese??! I ordered nachos w/queso but there was no cheese. My husband thought his Tostada was o.k., but again, no cheese. Service was extremely slow. We ordered the 3 dips + guacamole as appetizers, and it took forever to get a chip refills. There were 4 adults & one child. The adults had 6 drinks which equaled almost half of our $114 bill, and this was during Happy Hour!!!
Our experience was overall mediocre. The food was average and the service was average to poor. They input the wrong items for our kids and the server was managing both inside and outside tables. The latter is not his fault, but rather the managers for putting him in those sections.
Also, our taquitos were plated more like an appetizer than a main. It was taquitos sitting in a bowl of salsa verde essentially. Sorta off putting.
Picas across town is superior, in our opinion.
