Omake dining starts out with the hostess greeting you kindly. She is very attentive the whole way through. Sushi chef doesn’t ask you if you have a favorite. Just go for the deep dive. Sushi is fresh and delicately served paced throughout. I was so full 3/4 of the way through- didn’t need that much sashimi. But they covered the range of fish to experiment. I think the added touch of wasabi with in each bite is a nice surprise as you are eating. Elegant touch. But was harsh on my stomach afterwards. I think just say no to the wasabi. There are no add ons like avocado or tomato or cucumber - very simple and straight. There is a foia gras waygu taco to die for - wow!! Jusr go for that and the fatty tuna caviar appetizer alone and skip the horse makrel! Great place, great staff.. thanks
Delicious sushi, but the omakase nigiri portion sizes were so small that we had to eat a full dinner after at home. Seems overpriced based on our experience. We had great service, and the sushi bites we had were delicious, but won't go back due to the smaller sizes.
AMAZING omakase experience. Super chill ambiance, bright lights and to 40 tunes playing, which felt somewhat authentic to a typical spot in Japan. What set it apart was the quality of the sushi - total Japanese grade sushi that melts in your mouth. Exceptional, will definitely go back again at least once a quarter!
Great food, great pacing, great service. No-fuss sushi. Outdoor seating isn't bad, but could be a little nicer, but that's okay. We were there for the omakase. They were flexible in switching up the menu for our food preferences (I don't eat beef, and there is one piece that is included in the omakase).
A wonderful experience. Very fresh. Great presentation and taste.
Very good for omakase! Is all counter seating and it is very small! For small parties 1-4 people really! Counter seats about 8 ppl
The omakase experience was incredible! We ate here to celebrate my husband’s 30th birthday and he said it was the best sushi he’s had in his life! Ditto! Can’t wait to return.
Decent omakase and pretty good value for the price point.
I'll give benefit of the doubt, but that was wayyyyy too expensive for what it was. Maybe an off day? I Have paid half of that for better omakase
Great omakase experience
Delicious, fresh, and innovative sushi that doesn't break the bank as much as other sushi places!
solid omakase, nothing fancy, focuses on what is in season and lets the fish shine.
Great place, the food was delicious
Great service, friendly and knowledgeable staff- fresh sushi and Omakase
Cons: sushi chef rushed us to eat faster by placing multiple pieces on the plate at one time, loud EDM music, harsh bright lighting indoors, the payment system automatically calculates tip % including tax which is not industry standard
Pros: the sushi
great ambiance. sitting at the counter gave an experience you can’t really have any where else. the sushi chef made the experience feel very personalized to you. will definitely be going back! all of the food melted in your mouth- you could taste the freshness in every bite.
Good food but in my opinion, not worth the price. The chef forgot my friend’s shellfish allergy and no wasabi request. Will not be returning here
This restaurant has an excellent chef and very good sushi, but the price point seemed a bit high for what you get. Also, it was short sighted in terms of customer relations to send customers off with a piece of wagyu beef and not to include anything sweet at the end of the meal, even a small bowl of sorbet to cleanse the palate.
So happy to find a neighborhood omakase spot. Amazing quality and great value.
Fabulous meal. Creative and fresh sushi experience, and excellent service. A+
Amazing experience, with an amazing chef. Harry was great and a joy to have as our sushi chef. The fish was exceptional and the options were amazing.
Love this place - they do it right. Such high quality fish and generally great service. So happy they’re doing well after opening at the beginning of the pandemic.
Excellent sushi for a reasonable price, wine list is minimal but the food is outstanding
Saw a lot of great reviews online and wanted to try it. The quality of Omakase at this price point is attractive, and for $85, you get 2 apps, 12 pieces of nigiri, and one hand roll. They have add-ons you can get afterwards, if you want something more. We both opted for the seared scallop and chopped Toro hand roll, which was delicious and perfect finisher to the meal. The Super Mac is also popular, with chopped Toro, uni, and caviar, but since we didn't have any scallop yet, we chose that item. Excellent omakase and definitely recommend! 👌
Fantastic! Sushi was a work of art. The chefs earned a round of applause at the end of the meal.
Came here to celebrate a birthday and it went very well. The concierge was extremely kind and took care of us well. The omakase was great as well. Definitely top 15 in NYC. Also great bang for your buck.
Consistency. Consistency. Consistency!
Harry and team know how to knock it out of the park!!!
Amazing as always!
I think this place is great for what they’re offering, which is affordable omakase. I have been to comparable places and I thought the first few pieces in the course could’ve been a little more creative with flavor profiles (for example, it felt like Yuzu became a little redundant) but it was good sushi nonetheless. There were small details like I think it’s nicer to have my partner and I’s sushi pieces to be served at the same time as opposed to having one made sitting on the plate while my partner waits for his, but overall a great dinner experience.
For the price, you get what you paid for. The nigiri pieces were quite small, but the quality was there.
Unfortunately, this was the fastest omakase experience I've ever had. We felt a bit rushed. Where usually I would spend at least a good hour at an omakase dinner, we were out of the restaurant within 40 minutes, and that's even after an additional two a la carte items. This may be because their pieces of fish are all pre-sliced. Chef was already onto the next one even before the piece that he just placed in front of us had even gone into our mouths.
Although I appreciate the safety precautions he took with wearing a mask and having a transparent divider, I had the hardest time hearing our chef when he presented each piece of sushi. I politely asked him to please repeat himself a few times, but instead of repeating louder, he just repeated the words in the same low volume. I didn't want to come off rude, so I just gave up.
Luckily, the food was good. Nothing extraordinary, so I am unsure if I'd return. I'd probably find elsewhere for a better experience.
Great experience. The waiter and sushi chef were very helpful. Salmon and foie gras was devine
Delicious, high quality fish, and reasonably priced for omakase!
The food was amazing and so fresh. Our Chef Max was lovely. We sat at the bar. Our issue and please be advise, when the menu was presented to us for drink, every time we ordered a beer or sake- we were told "that one is out and we don't have it"- after they showed it to us on the menu and recommended it. We understood this to be a pricey experience and have no issues with paying for quality. At minute 75, when we were still putting the last bite of food in our mouth and looking forward to our dessert, we were told we had to leave, our time was up and the credit card machine was place in front of us. So our experience was ruined, the fact hat we paid close to $400.00 for our meal and were still finishing up our drink and bite of sushi, we were told the next reservation arrived and we had to go immediately. No warning, no, "let's try and seat you outside to enjoy your dessert. So for the above two reasons we will not be returning. It was so rude.
Good place and food was a lot better than expected. Ended up ordering more. Would def. Go back!
Great service and increíble food. We talked about going back every night it was so good.
Mojo was a fantastic experience from start to finish. We were running over 30 minutes late due to horrific yet typical Manhattan traffic. Yet the helpful hostess was understanding and accommodating over text. The omakase from start to finish was amazing. The fish was beautifully fresh and the rice complimented perfectly. We of course opted for the wagyu caviar. This spot will be among the first on our list as soon as we return to NY.
Amazing! Will never forget this experience as my first omasake! Loved it!
Very high quality food with great service and a casual atmosphere. Would go again!
Such friendly, kind and thoughtful service. The menu was delightful to my palette! Heaven, truly.
