Pleasantly surprised. Restaurant in a strip of stores on A1A. I was expecting the decor to be a little more eclectic based on other reviews. There was interesting artwork on the walls that the owner paints (who is also the Chef). Talented on both ends. Service was great. Sean was a great waiter. Very attentive. Great recommendations. Food was superb. Had the Pork Chop and Salmon for entrees. Fried Calamari to start was different and delicious. Great recommendation on the wine (50% off on A bottle in Thursday’s). Great deal. Live music was soft, not overwhelming as u get in most places. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed it and will be back.
Went with a group. Staff accommodated our request for separate checks. Food was deliciosand service was excellent
We won’t be back... The wait to get our simple meals was over an HOUR. The restaurant was not that busy and really NO good reason as to why this happened.
Waiter really did not know much about any of the dishes on the menu, especially the specials of the day. Also, I requested a quiet table and we receded in the room with live entertainment. A noisy experience.
Food was delicious as usual.
Great food, pleasant service - polite, friendly but not overly familiar, and well=paced/ Not too noisy.
Music (guitar player) was way too loud and disrupted conversation. It’s fine dining not a nightclub!
Going back for more ~ a whole menu of “gotta try’s”!
Mojo is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is always good, the help always pleasant and the owners delightful. Whenever I have out-of-town company a stop at Mojo is always part of the visit.
We went downtown Ft Lauderdale and drove by Mojo on our way. We decided to go back when nothing else downtown caught our eye. Thank goodness we did! The staff was super nice and helpful. Joe our waiter had a great personality and knew the menu well. The food was phenomenal and so we're the drinks and the dessert....Delicious!! Well worth a nice dinner out! Thank you for making our night great.
Our most recent visit to Mojo was a fabulous as all the other times we have been there. Its a very pretty place inside, the guitar player is very good, the ambience is wonderful, you feel very relaxed when you are there. There were 4 of us this time and our waiter was Joe, he is always great, good server, personable, etc. We are happy when we have him. All of our dinners were outstanding. We can't wait to go back again.
One of my favorite local restaurants. The food is always delicious and the service great! Friendly staff and great ambiance. You won’t be disappointed!
This is a restaurant you can count on to deliver consistently delicious food and good service. My favorite dish is the sliced duck breast in a fig sauce with risotto and green beans. My wife had the chicken francaise and loved it and the meatloaf is also excellent. Their daily Happy Hour is also a very good way to sample some of their appetizers which are half priced. Live music is also a very nice touch. You can't go wrong eating here.
WE booked forValentines night as out of towners who suddenly realized we might not get anywhere to eat on 14 Feb without fining a booking. Parking was OK and the food was also quite good . Service was slow but that was understandable given every seat was taken
Fine for casual dining but quite expensive
Great spot. Food & service were excellent. Our waiter is a military veteran who was knowledgeable about the menu & wine list. Bartender was also great, we stopped at bar after dinner to speak to friends.
This is a wonderful restaurant normally. This being Valentines Day, it was very, very busy. However, since we were able to see every other waiters station was not getting the service we did. Atrocious. 15 minutes for the waiter to return and tell us the bottle I ordered was unavailable. 15 minutes to get the next bottle and told me it was the last and hidden in the back. 20 minutes to get the Caesar salad. Don't all waiters make the salad course themselves? The food was excellent and the while the noise level was high, we could still talk. When I complained to the other waiter next to us. He said the other guy was busy. Dreadful service.
We decided to not be cliche and celebrated Pre-Valentine's day.
We were excited to hear that Anthony and Domenick were working side-by-side in the kitchen.
We ordered off the specials menu and were not disappointed.
Great food, great service!! Our waiter was very attentive and helpful!
Always a great meal. They really go the extra mile. Music really a pleasure.
We're coming back on Friday we enjoyed it so much. First time for a guests visiting from out of town.
I have dined at MOJOs several times and the food is always good. I had the Zuppe De Peche and it was wonderful. All the seafood was tender and it was a healthy portion. I would suggest MOJO as well for their wine tasting events. Overall a nice dining experience.
My comment to my dining companion at the end of the meal was "Why don't I come here more often?" I had not been here in some time for a variety of reasons and apparently had forgotten how consistently good the food, service, atmosphere, and vibe are. I do like this place.
Such inventive cuisine! Anthony is a wonderful host, and Tori is such an attentive waitress! The veal chop special was prepared perfectly, and the scallops over sautéed spinach with goat cheese was a big hit. Don’t miss the Clams and Piggies appetizer! My client enjoyed the evening immensely and loved the restaurant decor too!
I am running out of superlatives for this place. It has become my Fort Lauderdale favorite. Every out-of-towner that I introduce to Mojo flat loves it. And Anthony and his amazing staff treat my guests and me so well that I can never wait until the next time.
Adding to everything I already have said in other reviews: we had a late reservation this past Saturday night; we stayed well past closing and a good hour after even the last bar patron had Ubered home; but no one rushed us out or even nudged us toward the door. Instead, we were encouraged to stay and enjoy.
How good is Mojo? My Saturday night dinner companion was so impressed that before we left, she booked a table for a Monday night business dinner she is hosting. Yes... it is THAT good.
Great first experience. Friendly bartender and a really nice happy hour. Food service was excellent and we loved the guitar music - very light and enjoyable background effect. We will definitely go back.
The staff was extremely friendly, the food was fantastic
Great food. Perfect service. Exactly what you expect when you dine out!!!
Not really sure how or why this restaurant got such good reviews. I found the service to be poor. The food was barely average. We went with another couple. The server took it upon him self to split our check without asking. He did not evenly split the appetizers and unfortunately put it all on my bill. Clearly the appetizers were for the table. We also was charged $14 over the wine menu for our wine(Etude Pinot is $72 and were charged $86). This really upset me. The server did not make his way to our table and ask how everything was. We paid our bill and stayed at the table and decided to order one more round of drinks. We were charged $25 for a glass of old wine, again waiter never showed up to see if everything was ok. We will not be back. There are many good choices in the area - don't waste your money.
Mojo's never disappoints. Incredible food, wonderful service. It's a great little gem, love it!!
We all liked our food very much. The lamb shank looked absolutely fab and the skirt steak looked fab and my ravioli was fab and my daughter-in-law's seafood dish was great too! My only complaint was that the noise level was really loud and it was hard to hear what the people across the table were saying. Love the art work and wondered when people ate in the room to the left of the entrance. I have only eaten in the room ;to the right. I will come again.
Wonderful service. Fresh food . Quiet, live guitar music in the background. Always a wonderful experience at Mojo. . I have eaten here many times and never been disappointed.
Great as always! We were a party of six and enjoyed great appetizers, mains, and desserts! Definitely well worth a drive to enjoy this wonderful place!
The food, staff and ambiance at this neighborhood gem keeps me coming back very frequently.
Unique food options with something for everyone. My son and I had orange glazed salmon with lo mein noodles and vegetables. We both thought it was wonderful. Very welcoming staff as well!
While we were upset that the bartender didn't let us know that we had only ten minutes left in happy hour we didn't let that ruin our dinner. The service at the table was excellent. I had the duck and it was absolutely delicious. We also had the clams and mussels both very good. I would recommend this place if you haven't tried it already
MOJO is run by Anthony and Dominick, the food is always great. Creative dishes with good presentation. The atmosphere is terrific with art work by Dominick, who is also the Chef.
I have never had a bad meal here!
The vibe is casual and relaxed at MOJO, but the food is of culinary quality and the service is friendly and professional. We were there on a Thursday night and they had a 50% sale on bottles of wine under $99 - a great deal. Their menu has plenty of good selections to fit almost anyone walking through the door. Highly recommended.
Excellent experience, as always. Food is creatively prepared, and tastes great. Vibe is eclectic with a very diverse crowd. This visit was on NYE, which drew a great group which makes the night even more special. Pricing is higher-end, but certainly a reasonable value.
I have been to Mojos several times and this is the first time I have had a subpar meal. Two of us had meals that were either overdone or very little meat in them. One was the shrimp special with risotto that was overdone. The duck confit with pasta had very little meat and lots of pasta which I did not eat. On my way out I let the maitre de know and her response was that is strange the owner is cooking tonight. No apology or understanding at all.
Outstanding as always. Consistently wonderful. Sean our server was fantastic. I never get tired of the hug from Anthony, co-owner. Mojos is the best.
One of my favorite places. Easy parking, attentive service without feeling rushed. A somewhat 'bohemian' atmosphere. Delicious food. I always look forward to going.
