We were expecting more of a fine dining experience. The music was extremely loud and not complimentary to a calming dining experience. The food was delivered promptly, however, the serving style was more like a cafeteria. We were expecting to eat with our eyes first. We never received additional plates besides the appetizer plates. Our server never took away any finished dishes, so our table was chaotic. The "family style" dishes were very small. The fried rice was maybe 1 1/2 cups for 5 people. Modita is barely an eh. Underwhelming at best. Won't be returning.

We went for my husbands birthday. We were early at 515pm,got seated right away, it was a Thursday evening. My martini was made to perfect. Our Mapo Tofu was so good and crispy. Our sushi was prepared perfectly. Will for sure be back.

Went to Modita for a weeknight date night before going to a show at Gainbridge! It was so quiet to get in and out in about an hour (but not rushed). We had an amazing dinner which we shared featuring the Garlic- Chili Edamame, Grilled Chicken skewers with peanut sauce, Hamachi Uramaki roll, and the Shrimp Tamarind Noodles! It was all so amazing, the Chicken from the Robata Yakitori was a huge stand out for us, along with the Yang Cocktail! Can’t wait to go back!!

This was my husband and I's first time at Modita. We decided to come for our Anniversary. Our friends had recommended it to us. Plus we are Cunningham Rewards Members, so since it's a Cunningham property we were able to accumulate points. Our server was very attentive and was great at recommendations. She helped me order the Lady of Tani cocktail. It was quite tasty. We ordered the Bao Buns as our appetizer. While these were very good it was a lot of bread so I would probably chose to try and different appetizer the next time we come. I ended up ordering one of the specials of day as my entrée. It was a take on BBQ Short Ribs. And I got some Fried Rice to go with it. Everything was delicious. My husband ordered the Chicken Yakisoba Noodles. He gave me a bite and it was so yummy. The sauce was amazing. Since it was our anniversary we got a free dessert. We got the Coca Cola Chocolate Cake. It was very tasty but very rich. We couldn't finish it all. LOL. We will absolutely come back. We had a fantastic time!!

We had amazing service by our server Joe. Who graciously explained any & all questions that we had do to the fact it was our 1st time at this establishment. Also very attentive to our beverages running low & keeping our table clean and functional. As for the food quantity and taste simply wonderful. We will definitely be back.

AMAZING. Service was top notch! The water glasses never hit half way full. My server was so happy to review the cocktail menu with me. The food… I mean best sushi in Indianapolis hands down. My husband and I had such a great date night here due to atmosphere and service!

Our experience was incredible. From the service to the food to the ambience, it was an perfect. The bao buns were one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Kirsten was attentive and personable! Couldn’t recommend more!!

Her food was exceptional. Wish there have been more of a variety, particularly to offer a better meat selection. Although there is fillet and lamb, they are cubes and skewers. Not exactly what we wanted. But what we said the line was excellent. Service was poor. Waitress mumbled and you could hardly understand her. We had to ask to have drinks refilled. Didn't know the menu well.

Per my daughter’s request, we came to celebrate her 8th birthday. While she and I have probably been here 6-8x in the last year, my boyfriend had never dined here before. We were seated promptly (it was early, 6:15) and I explained the menu to the bf upon getting settled in. I let him know that everything was pretty much family style and told him our usual go-to food items. Must haves: the edamame, pork soup dumplings (his face lit up after tasting), bao buns, and the sweet and spicy sesame chicken. We tried the filet and lumpia egg rolls as well. The filet was tender and cooked but lacking in flavor compared to everything else (the bok choy salad was nice) and the egg rolls were good. Evan and his trainee (sorry I can’t remember her name, but I think it started with an M) were attentive, but not overbearing and very nice and personable. He even let the bday girl choose whatever dessert she wanted. Everyone from the hostess to the food runner that brought her birthday dessert at the end of dinner, was pleasant and wished my daughter a happy birthday. Thank you for the great evening and we will absolutely be back!

Modita never disappoints! My wife and I have been there 5 times and it is our go to for friends who have never been. Evan was our server and he was amazing. He helped our friends make drink and food decisions. We were celebrating a job promotion and Evan gave us free champagne and dessert to share! Definitely one of our top 5 in Indy.

Modita never fails to impress. Just when I thought I had my go-to order and was going to show my in-laws a nice dinner, our waiter starts dropping idea-bombs on us. Mapo Tofu + a side of noodles? Incredible. My wife doesn’t eat meat but is always looking forward to seeing me enjoy the Pork Belly Bao Buns. His solution? Let’s sub the pork belly for tofu. And wow. Incredible. Love Modita. The absolute best dining experience! The extraordinary human that took care of us was not only well versed in the menu, drinks, and dessert, he was attentive and went above and beyond to make my husband comfortable. We went to dinner for my two daughter’s birthdays, they picked the place. My husband was a good sport and came and tried to find something he liked. He is only a meat and potatoes kind of guy. Our server was patient and kind and even took it upon himself to prepare a dish without veggies, just meat for him. But that’s not all, they went across the street to the Garage Food Hall and brought back a plated double cheeseburger and fries for my picky husband! Wow. None of us expected that. I’m so blown away, I will definitely be back! Thank you!!

Great food-we had bao buns, pot stickers, dumplings and the Kimchi fried rice (we even asked if hey could substitute chicken for pork in the friend rice, and they obliged!) Our server was very informative and SUPER nice! What a great experience!
