Atmosphere and service were top notch! Sushi, egg rolls and Pho were on point. Very creative cocktails. The room was a bit noisy; highly recommended!
Went to Modita for devour and had a wonderful time! Casey our waiter was phenomenal and very nice
Great experience for our first visit. Went as part of the Devour Indy. Can't wait to go back.
I highly recommend this place for everyday dining or for a special occasion. This time, the service was just alright but the food made up for it. The food was delicious!
Their Devour Downtown Indy winter menu allowed us to try a newly added menu filet cooked on the robata grill that seared in the juices and flavors along with five other menu items! The ambiance was hip and upbeat. Excellent and attentive service by Maya was a win, too. The whole Bottleworks area downtown is a real jewel for our city and Modita’s unique concept will be a hit to out-of-town visitors and locals alike. Our son appreciated the CRG reward points we added to his account! We’ll be back…
The dinners were far too salty. The music was a tad loud. It should be a softening agent not a device to muffle or obscure. Thd higher the music, the louder the people noise to be heard.
Overall the food was great… we felt like “just a patron” with the unfriendly wait staff.
Good food, I did not personally like the Korean hot dogs but they were good quality. Little bit pricy for 4 soup dumplings it was like $12. They were good just little too expensive to get next time. Umami noodles are great
Great food and atmosphere!!! Will definitely come back again.
Lovely date with my husband…great service. Cocktails and dim sum were delicious.
The custom drinks are the reason to come to Modita. They're a few extra bucks, but no one else in Indy is going to design the types of spirits than the bartenders at Modita. They'll rotate, so enjoy them while you can!
I expected the food to be better. The bao buns were amazing, but the dumplings were ordinary. The udon noodles were solid, but not overwhelming. I enjoyed the heat of the kimchi fried rice, but there wasn't a ton of flavor other than soy sauce. Good portion sizes; no room for dessert for us. With so many great restaurants in Indy, I don't know if we'll be back for food. We'll be back at the bar though.
I have eaten here several times, always wonderful, this time was not the best showing. Ordered a FAVORITE, the Soup Dumplings, and it arrived in the bowl no "soup spoons" like before. All of the broth had broken out of the dumpling and you miss the experience. Food arrived on a great schedule (we ordered several dishes, all to share). Service was slow, drinks were not as good, (maybe warm bc service was slow).. Could be down staff like everywhere else. Had reservation for 4. When arrived were put at a booth by the kitchen door. I really dislike being by the kitchen door. If I was a walk-in it would be a different story. Asked to move to a table in different part of restaurant. The sushi (also a repeat) was off a bit. However the Boa Buns were better than the first time! They were amazing.
Great environment, the sound is well contained even with high customer volume. The dishes are great & reasonably priced. The liquor selection is nice, & I didn't notice any profiteering tricks like keeping the restaurant cold to cycle customers. Overall I think this place will succeed so long as they can stay staffed. The chance I return Is high.
We really enjoyed our experience. Great food.
The Wagyu striploin was amazing!
Service was very slow but we chalked it up to Covid. If you want to carry on a conversation in a normal voice, I’d suggest going early when it’s not so crowded.
Great food. Great ambience. Good price. Just liked the feel of it.
Our reservation was at 7:30; however, it seemed as though the server/service was trying to hurry us out. The service was not bad, it just was not personable. Very transactional.
Great team holiday holiday we
The best restaurant in Indianapolis!!
We booked Modita’s as part of our BCS Weekend. Needed a break from the great steakhouses in Indy. Loved the food especially the Bao buns and the Crab Appetizers.. Also ordered the orange chicken. Dinner was delicious, and the service was attentive. Great experience and food was terrific.
2nd time going and just as good as the first time. Great service and food, highly recommend.
The drinks seemed a little pricey, but that won’t stop us from coming back.
Love it overall.
Excellent no entry for CRG and everything you would expect - great food, eclectic vibe
Parice was our server and was excellent. The food came quickly and the surroundings excellent. A very enjoyable and comfortable experience. Will come again.
Everything was excellent as usual! We sat to the left in the restaurant and I didn’t like the lighting was brighter over there but it was still enjoyable. My usual order was also changed on the menu (it comes without rice now) and when I asked about that my waitress offered to give me a side of rice which was great!
The food and service was great. But I was annoyed because I made the reservation well over a month ago for New Year’s Eve and wanted to sit in the bar area. When I made the reservation on open table it gave me the option between regular dining room or the bar area so I chose the bar area. Then when we got there they told us we would have to wait if we wanted to sit in the bar even though that’s why I reserved my table weeks ago. It was just a little frustrating. Again the food was amazing, it is a little pricey but I think it’s worth it.
New Years Eve
Loved it! Josh was an awesome server. Tuna was amazing.
Modita has a beautiful ambiance, wonderful wait staff and some of the best food we’ve ever had. I highly recommend!
Modita has all the right elements to be great but it sadly missed the mark for us. Let me start by saying the service was excellent; truly impressed. The ambiance is incredibly trendy, modern and makes you feel like you are in an upscale restaurant that you wouldn’t necessarily find in downtown Indianapolis. We ordered two of their cocktails and they were okay. They were fun but we wouldn’t order them again. If you like a frilly drink then these would be a good option for you. We ordered another round of drinks; wine and beer; they were great. We ordered the corn dogs and the chicken satay. First the corn dogs: playful concept! The ratio of cheese:breading:protein was off. Mostly cheese and breading. Tastes like something I could have purchased at the state fair. The chicken satay was good. Chicken was tender, juicy and had a nice char. The peanut sauce for dipping was quite tasty - would dip all the things on the menu in that sauce. Small portion though. We then ordered the pork buns and the jalapeño strawberry tuna sushi. First the pork buns: the buns were pillowy, soft and a delight! The pork belly was juicy and tasted great. The slaw on the bun could have used some salt. Very generous portion. The sushi was so disappointing. It was mushy and slimy. I have no other way to describe it than that. It lacked flavor completely- had to dunk each piece in soy sauce to get it down.
Would I go back? For sure! Will it be anytime soon? Probably not.
Great atmosphere, decent pricing, flavor needs some work!
Great food and service! Wonderful first time experience! Special thanks to Josh!
Everything was delicious! Bao buns were amazing and the Jasper was phenomenal. Will definitely be back!
Tried Modita last night for the first time. Quiet ambience, great service and delicious upscale Asian cuisine. The Bao Buns we’re amazing! And all three entrees were fantastic! Even tried the ghost pepper sauce 🥵
I enjoyed the atmosphere overall, but the noise level, including the volume of the music coming from the bar area, was more than what my wife and I like when we dine out. Even our server noticed this, commenting more than once, "I'm sorry it's so noisy in here" and "Sorry it's so loud tonight." It was a Wednesday, and the restaurant was perhaps 2/3 full.
Tofu, edemame, Brussels sprouts all amazing. Sushi want my fave, no soy sauce. Drinks were excellent. Friendly staff. Great decor/music.
Cunningham group always puts up a pretty good product. Modita is the latest one for me. The food was outstanding. Four of us shared a Miso Salad, Crab Rangoon, Shishido peppers, Bao Buns, and 2 noodle dishes. We were all stuffed when done and the quality was outstanding. Service was excellent with a fine attention to detail. Excellent dining experience!
Wonderful food Bao Buns are amazing. The tuna from the grill menu was delicious. Would definitely go again.
Our favorite Cunningham RG restaurant. Food is amazing. Sushi rolls are tdf. Love the multiple gluten free options available too.
